Had our 3rd outing in our 2.0 over the weekend. We had a fair drive to get to our destination so decided to break it up by camping on the way there and on the way back. The simplicity of the tent setup and packing up makes it a doddle and is easily done within 5 minutes.
One of the main plus points for me is that I no longer get camping fatigue, where I get an aching back after one night's camping + with the tent's ability to block out so much daylight, I can get a full night's sleep.
Definitely worth the investment .

Just spent my first two nights away in one of these. Great nights sleep. Quality build. Found that putting Vaseline in the window zip runners helped it run super smoothly round the corners.

Just ordered this yesterday. Excited to set it up on my new Nissan Frontier pro4X. Ill be camping with my 2 besties in my life, my wife and my pittbull. Ive never seen another TentBox here in my area in the U.S. Im sure ill get a few curious inquiries when i go overlanding with it in the local national forest here by me on the trails when dispersed camping.

I am 6’4” and find there’s plenty room for two. Can also confirm that it stands up to 39mph, near gale winds after a recent cliff top experience! 😂 😂 100% okay 👌

Can you advise on the weight it holds the side that stays in the air?

Hey 👋 The whole TentBox can hold 300kg. The TentBox Lite 2.0 and XL is designed with an interlocking hinge, allowing both halves of the base to work as one and safely support the weight of occupants. The ladder itself isn’t weight-bearing but can act as partial support, it provides greater stability and keep the TentBox level. 😊

Can you pull the ladder up when you’re in the tent? Bit nervous leaving it down if I was wild camping

If you did that then you would lose the support for the extra base on the side.

Hey @PhoebeeveGL, we wouldn't recommend retracting the ladder when you're inside the TentBox as you won't be able to attach the telescopic ladder safely. It's important that you only sleep somewhere you feel safe and secure. Most campsites are lovely places, but always use your common sense and trust your gut if something doesn't feel right. 🙏
