love your content but SERIOUSLY, DROP the teeny girly boper music.
Blast that music😂
super hyped about ebmx motorrrrrr
Are aussies insane is a valid question and I think we now have our answer. Great vid bud! Keep em coming.
tingtong is much better stuck in my head already 🤣but needa see this ebmx motor review tho man been waiting !
Pretty sure the ebmx is superior
Have yall tried the big block? Any thoughts on it so far even if you haven’t tried it?
Glad the bash gaurd is still going strong
Thanks so much mate 🤘🤘🤘
@@progressive_e no prob suits the bike matches in with that nice swing arm👌
@@progressive_e what bashgurads will work with the sotion motor?
the ronster just installed this motor on his bike and hes able to pull wheelies at around 100kph. crazy powerful motor
need ultra version review asap before i order one lol
I want to see sotion vs ebmx with the x9000 controller
I see that Sotion makes two version of this motor, one with a haul censor and one which has an encoder censor. I know that EBMX are making their motors with an encoder sensor. Can you tell me which one is the best, as I guess some manufacturers are now using the encoder censor to reach higher speeds, and to run smoother. What's your take on this. Great video by the way keep em coming.
Abi based encoder is a much better form of motor position detection and is usually fine up to 20K rpm detection. There is other encoders out there not as good as ABI but still performance is better then hall. Usually a hall sensor will be out of phase around 5000rpm and the motor control will switch to sensorless at that point. There is nothing wrong with hall based motor detection it's just less accurate and alot of estimating is done by the motor controller. Abi based encoders have technically 3 position sensors and a PWM map for 360 degrees so basically the controller knows exactly when and where to supply power in the vector. This will bring more control and better low down torque response at lower rpm.
Hope that makes sense
@@progressive_e Hey man awesome review. Quick question... I have a BAC4k, will the encoder motor work with it no problem or will I have to change settings if I purchased the encoder motor like you recommend? Thanks!
please do a stock vs sotion vs ebmx motor comparison i cant find any
Go look at owe old video on it. Surron vs ko we blow it up sur ron is only 15kw peak

You need to do some more testing. This motor can get way higher than 20kw. You can’t push phase amps unless you push kw in this motor. 20kw will yield around 550 phase. I’ve tested at 24kw and got around 620phase. I havnt tested higher honestly but others have and are getting mid 20s average but with higher peak. I run a 54T on this motor. It loves rpms! Glad to see the x9000 on this motor though. Keep pushing and report back! So far it’s solid for us as well. No over heating or issues with the 13kw version. Indeed better than ko by far!!
We ran controller set to Max 500 battery amp limit 30kw 900 phase we never goy more than 20kw
What kind of battery amps have been pulled at 25kw peak and cont on your set up
x9000 is garbage couldnt handle the sotion would shutter I had to replace with Bac 8k no issues fastest surron around haha
@@azalldayson28 the x9000 had some recent firmware and software changes. Get with Jarad to get the latest. I understand the frustration
@@progressive_e ur tune is wrong or something isn’t giving the power. I can push over 25kw easily no problem on bac8000 and nab battery 72v.
Hi, have you fitted the new hall sensor yet? I have issues as well and hope you had some success
Yeah we did new one does work but I had to put new controller on
new controller? which are you using? is the X9000 you initially tried busted?
@@progressive_e
Buddy, can you open the Motor? I want to see how the rotor and stator are built. Please consider my request.
We fixed the motor and we still need it so can't ATM
thoughts on the extended swingarms?
Good if you want to keep the power down but will not do as good of a wheel stand. Unless you do more power, it will still do it fine at 20kw just not as easy
Is this the 10kw or 13kw rated version? thanks in advance
13kw that's meant to be 26kw peak
Can you push it harder and see temps?
That's the most it can take we ran 400 amp bms ebmx battery set to 500 amp at 900 phase the motor doesn't pull any more than 20kw. Temps where good cooler than KO
@@progressive_e odd why not? The motor doesn’t determine the amps the controller does.
And it's cheaper than KO
Hi
I see these "test" videos a lot but none of any youtuber made a video of a real measuring rather than a "feeling test" I think what you feel and how your bike raises your front wheel is not a measurement of real power. Why not make dyno test on the bike? You can use the same bike, with setting (drive, wheels, tires, etc) with other motors, controllers and settings on the dyno. So you can measure real numbers, and get more realistic results about real power, than just see some calculated data from an application. I never trusted the applications, because if the application shows you 20kW setting than in reality maybe you run only 15kW or less. Who knows... Depending on those thin wires what came from batteries, and going to motors, etc, maybe i can't believe those huge Amps. 250 DC Amps need a minimum 0,6 inch diameter cable.
sotion motor has too much power for the x9000 which is like a bac 4k in all reality it cant handle over 4500 phase amps such a same I wasted $1200 on this x9000 junk
We are pulling just under 700 phase with the set point at 900. We have other motors with it pulling 900 and over 400Amp. X9000 does a solid Job. We can't run Bac's here due to the water ingress issue.
