    Ive got both a ktm85sx and a ktm125sx, along with an ultra with 21/19 wheels & starcross tires and high rise bars to make it feel bigger. you were actually right when you said its more the same size as the 85. I know you corrected yrself to 125 but in reality the ultra is a lot shorter feeling than a 125 and you really have to move forward to keep it down in corners .eg the 85 wheelbase is- 1290, the ultra is 1340 & the 125 is 1486. I love the ultra but this is my only gripe with it & if it were a true 125 size / wheelbase it would be perfect. And im only 5 ft 7 also & ultra still feels a tad small. Still loads of fun but now im thinking about converting the 125 to ⚡️ instead for the ultimate bike

    The Ultra Bee is a very exciting bike! I can't wait to see the aftermarket grow. The build quality is pretty amazing for a chinese bike.

    I don't like how you need to replace almost everything to the point you might have just purchased the frame alone. Wish there was an more out of the box OEM version.

    How tall are you?
    And how much are all the upgrades worth on this build?

  • @kolopier
    @kolopier 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    We need a "ventus one" ultra bee. Full moded from factory.

  • @techfreaks4134
    @techfreaks4134 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    have you changed the dead band to 0,that should help pull off a lot snappier.
    tried it on my mates, with same ebmx and 82v battery.

    Hi Progressive E do you think it would be a good decision too get a torp tc1000 and other upgrades and put it on a Ultra Bee straight away out of the box or do you think i should wait until i get used to the power first and then put some upgrades on?

    • @progressive_e
      @progressive_e  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We don't like the look of the tc1000 the design doesn't look good don't know how long it will last/ if it will over heat Straight away on high power. But we haven't tested so don't know for sure. But yeah man mode as you need. Everyone Has different needs big power is great But it's not for everyone some people need handling more than anything so you might wanna put your money there depends what you most ride. I like both big power and bike sends so very keen for when we finally upgrade suspension.

    With just a controller upgrade you can get 17kw, so that's about $12000 all up, to get the same power in a light bee you have to upgrade battery, motor and controller, so it works out a fair bit cheaper

    So basically you modded it up to be a KTM freeride E?

    • @BogdanNourescu
      @BogdanNourescu 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ktm max output is 18kw. Ultra bee can get to 25- 30. Also, ktm is heavier. Not sure why, but ppl are not that excited about ktm like they are about ultra bee..
      PS: i have a friend with the ktm, and its a very nice bike, but heavyyyy

  • @maarkkkm
    @maarkkkm 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Just wondering based on your video it seems you had it turned up to about 36kw, at that power did you notice the motor getting warm? Do you think that motor has more in it like for example 45kw? Just curious

    • @progressive_e
      @progressive_e  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah definitely dose have more in it battery is the limit though need battery technology to get a bit better the battery has 10v's sage. Motor thermals is really good.

    the only issue i find is the 12 month warranty on battery and controller.. had a light bee , controller went at 14 month s.. up for $1100. 25% value of the bike. my only gripe..

    I NEED HELP DO I PAY FOR BAC4000 GLE FOR 600$ OR A KO PRO FOR 700$ i have a lite speed 72v 34ah battery LMK I WANT BEST IN RELIABLILTY SPEED, POWER ECT

    • @progressive_e
      @progressive_e  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would probably go ko because it's easy to set up and more power but have really bad throttle control and costumer support. X9000 is the best but I can understand not wanting to spend the money. If I was you I would save the money for one you will not regret it and it will last you forever and the Customization is really good it's the only controller like it on the market. You can put it on any bike and it will just work. It is definitely a good way to future proof.

    The only time you would also want 450 power on it is if you were to make it street legal and take it in freeways or highways

    • @progressive_e
      @progressive_e  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We are about to put one on the road will let you know how it goes on the freeway. Will probably be amazing with the right gearing.

    • @BogdanNourescu
      @BogdanNourescu 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Stark varg is a beast. The best for motocross. But if you want something lighter for enduro, technical, etc, ultra bee is a better choice

  • @NoShirt-Nick
    @NoShirt-Nick 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Getting one of these makes no sense. The light bee makes sense cause it’s like riding a hybrid. What makes no sense is buying a cheap Chinese motorcycle and then spending another 10k to make it handle and perform. You can get a Ktm free ride for less. To each their own…

    • @Blizzard117
      @Blizzard117 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This makes sense if you live in the eu, where the light bee counts as a moped and you must have license and safety gear, while the ultra bee is like a 125. However in both cases I would not spend what is essentially a second bike’s worth of upgrades, I would just get something else
