    My experience is the same. The X9K is very controllable when doing slow technical climbs over doll head sized rocks. That was the standard I used as a comparison add to that the electronic design made the x9k an easy decision. I am still quite pleased with my decision.

    The X9000 is our favorite as well. The KO shines over the BAC. It’s nice that we finally have some good options that were actually built for the bikes, no more farm equipment controllers on my bikes 🤘🏻

    Of course X9000 won! Not for looks...not that I really care about that. It's VESC...of course it's the best. KO uses FAR Driver limited FOC motor control and VESC is full on FOC on a proper CPU that can run the full FOC suite. I have to ask...what throttle mode were you using on the BAC8000 and x9000???

    Sweet video guys! I am rocking the Sotion/Fardriver ST721000 (500line/1000phase) on my new build paired with the FW01 and I am super excited to see how it performs. They also have a 96v coming out soon and I am most DEFINITELY throwing that on there when it does. Thanks for these videos!
    Btw, great song choices during the montages! Got me adding some new guys to my library!

    Francis Janssen just taken a look at the video - really good.
    BUT concerning the ASI BAC8000.
    I think there’s light years of difference between between what customers receive from different vendors.
    The controller should come plug n play, although may need a little calibration as SR are not all the same “out of the packet”: throttle and phase angles as the factory keeps pumping out inconsistent bikes.
    The controllers should come with a decent mounting system. Ours come as with heavy duty mounting wings (we’ve upgraded this design three times in the last year). Strong mounts, heavy duty phase cables and waterproofing. We use 6AWG cables, our looms are proprietary to us (NOBODY) else has them. There’s little secrets to our looms which keeps the water out.
    We also supply a simple but 13 page install instructions (loads of photos). Horrified in the vid to hear “cable ties” and see electrical tape - NEVER!
    Take a look at the photos and video.
    Take a look at our site and see the extra photos:
    www.electroncycles.co.uk/product/asi-bac8000-for-sur-ron-with-loom-display-mounts-fully-assembled-and-programmed/

    • @progressive_e
      @progressive_e  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Francis, I know your products well, super high quality. Totally agree big difference between vendors. Cable ties and tap was just a joke on our end as it was temporary.
      Was a general over view of the each product, as you can tell we didn't do a tonne of detail as it's made for entertainment purposes.

    One thing this comparison doesn’t mention is that neither one of these bikes batteries is enough to get the max out of a BAC 8000 which is why a controller that doesn’t require as much power would perform better but if you got that BAC8000 the amps it needs it will destroy them both on power so what packs are these bikes running I have a 20s16p molicel pack and it’s barely enough for 32kw it really needs like 25p at least 20p 1000 discharge to run comfortably

    Great video idea from the double headed fellas from taz! I have zero experience with KO but a lot of experience with far driver. The best I could get my far driver to feel was around 80-90% of how the bac felt. The Bac feel would be around 80% of how my X-9k feels. Throttle to Ground feel that is. My Bac definitely benefited from using a magura throttle. Not sure why but the 0-5k pot just seemed to work a lot better. The X-9 is the only controller I would recommend for the Surron now with out a doubt. The only down side of the X-9k is the cabling apart from that it’s all thumbs up from me

    09:30 Hill hold assistance ain't important in my book. Your bike got brakes? And an added bonus of using brake rather then sending current into the motor is that you are not increasing motor temperature at standstill. I can't really see I would be using that feature much, definitely not important enough to switch controller. And if that is the only factor differentiating between two controllers I would swing either way if I was to buy a new controller today. For some it might be a nice to have feature, but I doubt it will be a need to have feature. How is the firmware/software for X9000? Is it all locked like on the stupid BAC's or can you easily make changes to fit your need without getting in touch with a dealer? What about the KO Pro software? Having full control over all parameters in the controller is likely the most important thing to me and is why I Sold the Bac so rapidly.

    • @progressive_e
      @progressive_e  ปีที่แล้ว

      X9000 is on open source VESC control, nothing locked. You can run any motor, has 10 pre tuned motors from QS138 through to stock surron etc. Nothing like a BAC at all.

    Im new to the Sur Ron/Talaria world. Ive been watching a ton of videos to try and inform myself on controllers/batteries/motors. Seems like most people are running the BAC 4000. Whats the difference between the BAC 4000/8000? Of the KO, BAC, and x9000 which is the most user friendly with a chi 72v battery? Also can they be run with a stock sur ron or talaria motor - or do you need an upgraded ko motor? Ive seen a ton of videos of stock sur ron motors running upgraded controllers (mainly BAC 4000)/ 72v batteries using stock motors with no issues. Sorry for all the questions, just trying to educate myself - thank you!
