I found out that if there's not a small Phillips head screw then it just pries open and after changing the battery it snaps back in place! Awesome! 🙂

yes, on these the vehicle should still start if the battery in the fob Is dead. If the buttons on the fob are still working it sounds like the battery in the fob may not be dead anyway
