I grew up as a plus size girl, I never wanted children coz of the looks I got as a teen. I'm very hands on with my teen. This episode just reminds me why I constantly tell my 12 year old to decenter men and focus on what is important. The wonderful thing is i understand because I never had parental support. Great episode again.
Please remember to mother your inner child too, your constant protectiveness to your 12 year old is actually you mothering your 12 year old self ❤Don’t stop mommy, let’s be better parents at the same time give ourselves grace ❤

This story resonates so much with me. Its like she is talking about me. My middle name ke Precious and I had my daughter at 14. My high school teacher once said : parents must learn to check on the smart ones too because they are often not street smart. The books 💯 but the streets 0 shem. I didn't understand at that time n her statement upset me but now I hear her.

True that, was a straight A leaner high school immediately in my first year I fell 🤰. I wasn't street smart at all. My childhood friend told me, "friend I don't blame you, you know nothing about the street wena, you thought you're playing boom pregnancy got you".

The story has lot of triggers i remember i suffered the same thing we ones had a trip and the transport left us there and we were moved to police after the event and tomorrow they had to take us home i found my mom he called my ants and my uncle she didnt even want to listen to me she started swearing at me and by that time they written me off some day she will just start swearing and calling me a bitch saying that i want to break her marriage as she came with me in her marriage so i have learned to listen to my children because our children are fighting lot of battles please people lets pray for our kids they are going through a lot
iyooooooo... im reading my own story here, sometimes i felt like my mom was abusing me just to save her marriage. she wanted to prove something to my step father.

I don't know if you will ever see this Precious/Golden Girl. But I almost went to Polokwane with you that year. I had the forms and everything but just decided against it because I was IPC and the Polokwane school was associated with ZCC. I should have gone. One of my biggest regrets
Hey Pete, I’m seeing this and trying my best to recall. Also honestly yeah it’s a good boarding school despite being associated with the church plus it’s safe so I trully recommend it. Askies the difference in churches hindered your ability to have such an opportunity

Not everyone understands Statutary rape 😢and I think his own childhood traumas could hinder the capacity to understand the impact of his actions let alone face this truth. It’s just what I think based on the work I have done in forgiving someone who has never apologised and potentially will never see their wrong.
