Maybe someone fooled me hard but I heard once that US soldiers (guess during the Vietnam War) actually used those razors a lot because they were covered with some stuff that had a chilling effect on the skin. Which obviously would be a nice benefit when you are drenched in sweat in the jungle. So even when they had no beards/stubble, they would quite often just drag them on their skin.

It always will. PREDATOR is one of the great films that will stand the test of time. And next to none CGI.

When Naru's brother in Prey said "If it bleeds, we can kill it," I immediately broke out into song.
That long pause after she said something like "how do we even know it can be killed?" I said it before her brother lol
@@Mustard0Tiger it was forced though. It’s a logical thing to say when in the first predator because the lady just got done says “you must have wounded it, it’s blood was on the leaves”.
It wasn’t logical to say in Prey. Nostalgia doesn’t = good writing. We don’t know anyone’s name in this movie because none of the characters actually matter, unlike the 1987 film.
@@chrisbarrett2117 It was definitely an homage to the original's line, and didn't fit nearly as well. However, I still think it was cool and it made enough sense to be added in. I thought Prey was very good. Certainly better than the last "predator" movies to be released in like over a decade.

That's what pisses me off the most about the "franchise" movies. They will dick ride the original to death instead of adding anything new to it. Even the original writer, Shane Black, couldn't go without a lame "choppa" joke in "The Predator."

I want to see the whole musical damn it. Dillon and Dutch dueting on "We're a Rescue Team (Not Assassins)" when they meet. Blain singing "Sexual Tyrannosaurus" in the chopper. Later he sings "Ain't Got Time to Bleed". "Run! Get to Da Chopppa" by Dutch. A reprise of "If It Bleeds" at the end, after Dutch sings "One Ugly Motherfucker".

Nearly 11 years on, and this is literally still one of my absolute favourite videos on TH-cam. The musical arrangement COMPLETELY captures the movie's soundtrack, the lyrics are absolute genius, and the voices, damn! BANG ON!
I love coming back to listen to it every now and again. And not far behind is The Running Man muscal! They genuinely put a smile on my face every time, and help cheer me up!
I come back here at least once a month to listen to this masterpiece.
The only thing that would have made it better would be the Predator playing a keyboard solo when he sets the bomb off with his wrist controller 😂

Even after everyone is gone, when failure is imminent, and you're laying with your back against the wall in the mud, rock bottom... With the most dominant force towering above you looking for the chance to silence you forever... Perhaps you too will have the courage to scream into the night and face the fear that stalks you, and show it you ain't got time to bleed.

It brilliantly sums up the entire plot of one of my favorite movies and sets it to a well crafted, witty musical number that actually works and is incredibly funny if you know the movie. The way the vocal parts all weave together and build also takes legitimate orchestrating talent to put together. When it gets to Billy saying “something’s out there” I am laughing out loud, every single time I’ve watched this over the years. Everything on this channel is incredibly well done, including the Die Hard one as well, with the best impression of Hans Gruber I’ve ever heard.
