I'm gonna say the unpopular thing. Terminator 3 is a thousand times better then what everyone else treats it as. Is it better then 1&2? Of course not but its still a fantastic movie.

It occurs to me that, along with being funny, this song is actually a really accurate representation of the essential existential quandary of the Terminator. To wit, a killing machine that isn't allowed to kill. What is his purpose? Why does he exist? Everything that is in him is telling him his purpose is to murder, yet the subsequent programming forced on him prevents his ever fulfilling his destiny. Humorous, yes, but the song is actually quite profound. Nietsche would definitely approve.

I've always had the impression the terminator likes being a terminator. The first film implies intention behind the programing. He's not just Microsoft Word. When the landlord asks about the smell he has lots of options, but he CHOOSES the phrase he picked up killing Punk Hudson.

This opera really highlights some of the reasons i much prefer the original Terminator to T2.
