I made a comment earlier about Joshua “losing focus” around 2:40. In reality the bass player was shifting time and playing more “free”. I first the bass is behind beat then ahead of beat.
I’ve seen this several times. Something happened to Joshua Redman around 2:42. I think perhaps he played a Korg changed too early and lost his place? Nice to know that even our heroes are human too
GH is my favourite drummer. He pushes so hard, crazy bounce, pure energy.
