Graymarrow should have attacked with his massive sword or used his curses as a status effect on the player, gold hoarder could have dug up explosives and fought with his shovel, and maybe even he could have spat out molten gold. Briggsy could have used smoke bombs or something as well.
The difficulty, A.I. aggresiveness and the enemy energy are different from 1 player to 4 players. If you join 2 crews of 4 (8 players) and try to fight them, they turn almost invincible. There's a video of some guys on two different crews fighting Briggsy and Graymarrow in the same island at the same time, and the two bosses fight together with about 8 to 10 skelletons running all over the island.
I feel like the boss dialogue could use some work, the repetition makes things feel less immersive...and I do wish the bosses had more variety when it came to their attacks...I love this game to pieces, but it feels a little lackluster

I believe graymarrow is the best. His size, dialogue, and voice makes him intimidating and overall he’s a badass. The gold hoarder is just a golden skeleton version of koba from planet of the apes.
You missed Captain Avery, the other Captain from The Cursed Rogue, Captain of the Lair (Art of the Trickster) the Guardians of the Stone if you can count them as Bosses, Captain Gripper and Captain Shaw (Revenge of the Morningstar)
The Skeletonlords are all the same, they do all the same attacks teleport, summon and make this blast. I love this game but this is disappointing. They should do different things and don't just have other animations for this attacks. If Graymarrow just has an additional attack that he throws one of this chests. And if the goldhoarder would only fight with his shovel and would have a spin attack and maybe something else I would be satisfied only one more attack but no. As I fought Graymarrow I already thought OMG that's lame just a Briggsy reskin. I had big hopes in the fight against the goldhoarder but as he equipped his sword it was over. Just a 2nd Briggsy reskin. Briggsy was first epic, but if u fight the same boss 3 times it gets just disappointing
They do have different attacks. Graymarrow can charge forward and uses Sword and blunderbuss, the gold horder can do a long sword attack to the side and the attacks he shares with the other bosses are a bit different (example: Briggsy just teleports, but the gold hoarder also attacks with his shovel after he reappeares)

I see a lot of complaints about skelly lords and although they may be true this is still the first group of tall tales of many to come and I’m sure rare will surprise us all I still think that these tall tales felt magical and is a very good addition overall
I was really pissed with the Gold Hoarder boss because the lightning bugged out and it was dark as hell, despite the fact the torches were lit, so I couldn't see a thing, but the fight was still really good
I wish me and my crew were fighting these Skeleton Lords.. LOOK OUT.. how can i.. I AM DOING ALL THE WORK.. navigate, gather supplies, bucket and repair when you guys do NOTHING... sighs.. i dont play to play anymore..hmmm.. maybe i am better off doing it all by myself.. lool

I hope they dont ask me to team with them and take part in the Arena again 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The art of a trickster is stressful as hell since you can fail the tale easily and the shores of gold is very long and harder than the others but other than that they’re fine
I don’t know why everyone says the bosses are easy to kill just kill them with kegs it only took me 5 for gray marrow but the gold hoarder is not easy to kill
Why couldn't they say the locations of important items in the story? Some of us have no idea which island has an object that leads to the next objective since they're never in one place.
StevenT2002 idk it just my crew just sustains more deaths and it takes longer than the gold hoarder fight the gg fight takes us roughly 10 min while gm takes us about 17
This shows just how shallow and repetitive the game really is. The game's core mechanics of combat NEEDS a rework because with ZERO progression the bosses and just enemies in general are super repetitive and BORING!
