The actual fight with the shrouded ghost and Flameheart's fleet was a blast, but the setup is among the worst I've ever seen. Cooperation on the Sea of Thieves is a rarity, PLUS all the progress for the megalodon effigies gets reset with a server merge! And of course, that's exactly what happened to me when I tried to do this quest. The only way I was able to complete it was by spawning into a server with the effigies already placed, and then waiting for the arrival of the crew who put the effigies there. And even then, they kegged me at first because they thought I was trying to steal their quest 🤦♂️
it took me and my friends 2 hours to find some people that wanted to help, but i finally got it! after vibing at the ship for an hour we just split up so 2 of us were sailing around looking for people and the other 2 stayed behind to check if people would come there
On today's episode, Cliff plays Monster Hunter in Sea of Thieves and it goes amazingly well. Can't wait to see what game we manage to shove into the Pirate game next.
spoiler - you can easily beat him just by standing on the npc boat this new adventure stuff is rly bullshit and boring asf they need to improve it somehow it's such a lackluster after 4 hours of travelling the whole map 4 times to fight some boring ass sharks you have to wait another 4 hours for someone to fking come and finally be able to spawn the white shark just for it to be easily beaten by afk-ing on the npc boat , wow such a great fight i bet it took you more then 1 day to put it together...NOT!

Thought this adventure would be pain in the ass but on my way back with the final megalodon soul there was a sloop on the killer whale. Turned out the guys were french but spoke english quite well. Spend like a good half an hour waiting for a 5th guy to join us but I gotta say It was really nice talking to them. Expected to be bored af and ended with 2 new companions to sail with soon. Thats the way it is in Sea of Thieves I guess Edit: forgot to mention that me and my friend are Polish so at least this time France actually helped Poland lmao
I did this adventure a few days a ago, I had help from a galleon ship, but when the shrouded ghost appeared all the ships on the server gathered to help. Which included 3 sloops a brig and the galleon
Something happened like that to me the other day, but I didn't start it. A crewed brig did, and I left the server as it was 1:00 at night in a sloop and I was not prepared for that. (Ignore that timestamp)
Man... I did this with 7 friends in 2 Galleons yesterday, but we fight against the Shrouded, a ton of ghost ships, a random skelly galleon who for some reason had a keg, and Pendragon, all that... inside of a storm... that shit was epic af
Rarest things in Sea of Thieves 1. finding a naturally spawning Shrouded Ghost 2. finding a Box of Wondrous Secrets 3. finding a crew of gold hoarders that aren't paranoid
hey cliff! Funny story: me and my friend went to do a new athena voyage when we sailed right into an alliance server with them summoning the shrouded ghost! We got attacked and we sunk in an instant, but we still got the commendation for killing the shrouded ghost. Cool right?
On the topic of new ships: I believe a way the devs could implement new ships without drastically changing the game is adding variants to each ship. For example the brig, they can bring in a 3 manned ‘Junk’ that has bow and stern cannons instead of broadside and is fastest in cross winds. Or maybe for the sloop they can add another 2 man ship the ‘flute’, which on spawn has barrels that are stocked with supplies, it isn’t particularly the fastest in any category but it has gunpowder barrels/fire barrels that can be thrown off the back to deter chasers

i think this game *needs* more monsters, the kraken and meg are very fun to face (dependant on situation) but they are getting more and more stale, things such as a cthulu raid or dragon boss would make journeys much more fearful and interactive
dude yeah 100% deep sea gigantism has so many options for awesome monsters, like 0-0 said, a giant crab would be awesome, i always imagined them being like moving islands, traveling in a set path and with some special treasure stuck in their shell that you would have to pry out (of course this would piss them tf off) I would also love if the sirens got more aggressive, behaving more like DnD's Merrow, aggressive aquatic monsters that would tear holes in your ship while others boarded and still more waited in the water with pet sharks to attack anyone who attempts to flee. Idk just actually attacking ships tbh A legit sea serpent would also be rad as fuck, idk, maybe it would be a thing that you could attack from the outside or inside, being so massive you could take a row boat inside or just dive in in order to try and hack your way out dude- there are so many cool ass traditional pirate legends they could tap into for future awesome monsters

Another great video, shrouded ghost was really tough, we did it with 3 sloops and 5 people, one sank, but luckily came back, definitely one of the toughest PVE encounters in the game and a lot of fun

I had the the title of the shrouded ghost since 2 years ago. It was the first megalodon I ever fought. Pure luck it spawned on me and my friend’s sloop, we killed it and rocked the title until one of our high level friend asked us how we had the title and we realised how rare it was.
This story was like a whole anime. It was awesome and I loved every second of it! The ending where all your teammates appeared once more to help you was Amazing!
This was a really fun adventure. I found a reaper sloop to help me out and then they found a gallon to help and then in the middle of the fight the gallon left us leaving me and the reaper to fight the shrouded ghost. We did kill the shrouded ghost though.

As a solo-slooper, man, am I disappointed none of my friends play this game. Currently in a horrible cycle of boarding/asking other sailors just to get blundered off into the depths. I _really_ wanted to do this, but pity for solo-slooping is all I got.
My brother in christ what you call a miss took down their mast lmao I had 3 shots that all should've hit, didn't get a hitmarker for any of them and that final one still took down the mast without a hitmarker. It was clearly not a miss

This is for me what makes seas of thieves until now a great game to play. the events just piling in at once and creating an absolute killer storyline that goes great with cinematics.
Goddamn, I dislike pvp that gets in the way while I'm playing games and trying to do my own stuff, but your SoT content is so great that I'm considering trying it out if it goes on sale

My crew barely made it, we had plenty of supplies, no sleep, but we did it. Hardest part was the constant tier 2 and 3 holes from all of the ghost fleet ships we had to fight alongside the shrouded ghost. Also the 4th meg we fought had a kraken show up at the last second.
This adventure was SO AWESOME! Hard yes, really hard, but awesome! Me and my friend were sailing sloop, doing all the four normal megalodons until we found a friendly galleon with four players to summon the shrouded ghost. Another sloop joined our alliance and we fought long and hard. We were surprised when Flameheart joined the fight and even more surprised when Pendragon came to the rescue :D Finally, the galleon sunk twice, lonely sloop once (and never came back) and our sloop was the only one still floating. This beats all the Tall Tales in my opinion!
Cliff: *Summons the shrouded ghost and tries to kill him* That guy from sloop who was thinking that it would be fun but shrouded targets only him: "Come on man, this has to be a nightmare!"
Well Cliff, Rare decided adding the ghost ship event back into the game was a good decision so random worst-case scenarios like this happen to me on a regular basis lol
Me and my friend have had this game for four days, today we were sailing when my friend spotted the red and black lava looking megalodon. We were super happy as we were new and this was our first time seeing one in the game. Later on we were still going from island to island selling stuff, when a blue megoladon appeared. We killed it and we told our friend how we had killed more megalodons than him in an hour. It was so fun. Waiting to see the other three though!
Well done 👏🏾 I grinded all four sharks solo day one and waited nearly 2 hours for enough folks to join me in taking her down. Needless to say I got none of the treasure cuz SG took out my sloop and I had to swim back to the KW with the quickness but the day one deed was worth it.
This was my first time watching this channel and this game, but this was very entertaining great video. Also the use of that OP theme and timing was perfect!
Yo Cliff, there is a fun mechanic with the new update, when another crew does a legend of the veil quest and spawns the tornado, you can go into the tornado and hide in it before the fort spawns, the other ship wont be able to see you and you can surprise attack them, did this a couple of times its super fun!

Another sloop joined our alliance and we fought long and hard. We were surprised when Flameheart joined the fight and even more surprised when Pendragon came to the rescue :D Finally, the galleon sunk twice, lonely sloop once (and never came back) and our sloop was the only one still floating. This beats all the Tall Tales in my opinion!

Well Cliff, Rare decided adding the ghost ship event back into the game was a good decision so random worst-case scenarios like this happen to me on a regular basis lol
Me and my friend have had this game for four days, today we were sailing when my friend spotted the red and black lava looking megalodon. We were super happy as we were new and this was our first time seeing one in the game. Later on we were still going from island to island selling stuff, when a blue megoladon appeared. We killed it and we told our friend how we had killed more megalodons than him in an hour. It was so fun. Waiting to see the other three though!
Well done 👏🏾 I grinded all four sharks solo day one and waited nearly 2 hours for enough folks to join me in taking her down. Needless to say I got none of the treasure cuz SG took out my sloop and I had to swim back to the KW with the quickness but the day one deed was worth it.

Yo Cliff, there is a fun mechanic with the new update, when another crew does a legend of the veil quest and spawns the tornado, you can go into the tornado and hide in it before the fort spawns, the other ship wont be able to see you and you can surprise attack them, did this a couple of times its super fun!

I once tried to start on Sea of Thieves and I really liked it but my friends didn’t afford the game and it was really hard to play alone, seeing this videos makes me wonder how much fun I lost
