@@MELOPSMUSIC My word! It makes everything bigger in such a musical way. Lovely in everything as well but as the final thread on a master, it certainly delivers!
"close" is relative. there is a naturalness both in the release and in the attack that you won't get with any compressor plug-in, and that goes for many hardware compressors. vintage stuff has a way of enhancing the tonality that just doesn't seem possible to do with modern materials (transformers are not what they used to be.) so you're not getting that. but the compression action/movement is just gorgeous on many different settings with the tubecore, as you can tell from this video. unlike plug-ins where you are struggling to find one setting that sounds natural and decent. tubecore also has a touch of midrange focus to its tonality which i find very pleasing and impossible to duplicate in the box. nice compressor, great value, very well built. and one of my favorite features is that the unit passes sound via hardwire bypass without any power. very handy in my workflow. @@MELOPSMUSIC

Nice Demo Guys thanks for posting! I too own one of these, have you purchased any of the different available tubes?
It's a shame it's nearly impossible to film these meters to get a visual correlation of how hard it's being hit vs. the tone. Sounds good though
Holy sounds amazing man was just looking at this vs igs zen, this here smacks, much thanks
Before you could remove bypass
Sound is on
I don’t know brother
