Suet is specifically the hard fat found by the kidneys.

I don't think I've heard of pork fat being called suet.

Haggis is completely wonderful. Just get a good brand, perhaps at the local butcher in Scotland. I've had haggis with venison and a currant compote. One of the best meals on earth.

I never understood why the English would put vinegar on chips. Being German, I prefer ketchup and/or mayo on them. Pommes rot-weiss!

It's a fantastic channel. What equipment do you guys use? What would be decent equipment for recording conversations for language learning? I'd like something mobile, maybe mounted on a shoulder or even my head that could record decent audio. Something subtle and without a huge microphone as I'd like to encourage natural conversation for my online classes to watch without being too intrusive.
    Cheers!

Thanks paul... we use a DSLR with a mounted microphone and then an external mic, all on tripods. I honestly would say that most phones made in the last 3-4 years are capable of great video and acceptable audio quality (depending on ambient noise and environment. there are many weird and wonderful mounts and clips you can buy for them.

Spaghetti hoops on toast. It is pasta in shape of little circles that comes in tomato sauce sauce from a tin and you put it on toasted bread. I couldn't believe when I heard its a common british lunch or dinner dish.

So far I liked everything I ever tried in Britain. Haggis sounds not very tasty though. But Marmite is something I really liked. I think nowadays food is getting more and more international. So you don't have to stick to traditional menus ...
