Applying Pressure To Gain Positions in Forza Motorsport

As a Noob to sim racing, I thought I'd share my Forza Touring Car experiences, my wins, my loses and my wtf moments. I try to explain my thought process and hopefully provide you with a learning guide or useful tips.
My strategy is simple, stay alive at all cost. We all know Forza Motorsport can be a little chaotic at times. I hope with a more passive tactic, I can swoop in and take the position. While also improving my own skills as a sim racing driver.
Track learning is key, hopefully by reviewing my race choices and my mistakes, I can help others learn and improve upon their lap times. Thus making the racing world more fun and competitive.
I am using a G920 Logitech wheel, and playing Forza Motorsport on PC using Xbox Game pass. I do not have the VIP, or cars pass, this is the basic game as available to everyone.
I do hope you all enjoy the content, Racing and Sim racing is great fun and helps you escape the harsh reality of the life.

Hahahaha to be fair bud you was 2 places ahead lol. If we had more laps I may have been able to work up closer, I rarely qualify lol. Least we’re out there showing the world the Astra is a strong competitor lol. I really like that car. It kind of surprised me.

@@Flashms i think i managed to get the fastest lap in the end, levorg lasted longer on the tyres which saved him i think

Yeah the only issue with the levorg it’s really hard to hold in the wet. I do find the Astra a little hard on tires but it really holds the road well so kind of understandable. Nice getting the fastest lap though. I struggled a little to get through the pack while also not pushing my way thought but more played mind games lol. I like to mix things up lol

@@Flashms haha it's good to keep things interesting once in a while, I just tend to qualify because I risk getting punted off and my safety rating dropping lol

Yeah I fall victim to that a lot. But because I fell victim so much I see the signs now lmfao so I can avoid instances at the same time. Also I am not fussed about my rating either so that plays a part.
I wish I could choose to start right at the back and work my way up sometimes. But that is not an option yet. lol

how you liking the Astra now?

I have to say I really like it and I think it’s better than the merc. Yeah it’s a little slow, but the car in slip stream really does keep pace. It handles really well. Turns in well. Amazing mid corner and corner exit. The rest end skips out just the right amount for great rotation if you dab the brakes. Yeah I really like it lol.
Anything I missed that you think the Astra is good at?
Tire wear could be better but its cornering ability is strong so I kinda get it.

@fenixaster8356 yeah man. Especially that second race I was so close with that mg. Side by side through many corners and no contact. It was beautiful lol
