Rammers Day Out in Forza Motorsport Surviving the Chaos

- As a Noob to sim racing, I thought I'd share my Forza Touring Car experiences, my wins, my loses and my wtf moments. I try to explain my thought process and hopefully provide you with useful tips.
My strategy is simple, stay alive at all cost. We all know Forza Motorsport can be a little chaotic at times. I hope with a more passive tactic, I can swoop in and take the position. While also improving my own skills as a sim racing driver.
Track learning is key, hopefully by reviewing my race choices and my mistakes, I can help others learn and improve upon their lap times. Thus making the racing world more fun and competitive.
I am using a G920 Logitech wheel, and playing Forza Motorsport on PC using Xbox Game pass. I do not have the VIP, or cars pass, this is the basic game as available to everyone.
I do hope you all enjoy the content, Racing and Sim racing is great fun and helps you escape the harsh reality of the life.

Unintentional comedy gold, joining a Forza lobby is truly a roll of the dice. Especially since the Nurburgring update didn’t retain the players it brought back for very long. The gulf of attitude and skill in a current lobby is gargantuan.

Yeah bringing in the ring is a nice token and people will do a few laps, realise the rest is still FUBAR and leave again. I mean how is replays still not fixed? Crashing left, right and centre. It'll just upset people further down the line to the point it really destroys the brand.

Great video flash. It's so annoying when you put in a good qualifying lap and it's up to the Forza gods if they let you have a clean race. It is so easy to go from 1st to last in a matter of seconds because of some over eager drivers. The thing is you don't get many apologies for their actions which is a shame. I apologise every time I mess up lol.
Yeah you are right. Used to see chat pop up saying sorry etc. now you don’t see it. I think the forza gods fell asleep the other day lol.
So I've been playing online for quite a while. But I saw something today that made me angry at first but then I laughed my ass off. This one person tried overtaking me, ran off the road at the daytona speedway (that chicane). He fully went on the grass, and ended up about 1,8 seconds in frond of me(with only a .6 penalty). I might have lost some sportmanship by banging him off the track and actually getting away with it. Lap after, he pulls it a second time. But he got Dq'ed for that. But it pretty much still ruined my race. But you know, keep your cool and just keep the wheels going.

HAHAHHAHA golden, yeah daytona penalty takes no prisoners, if it thinks you made a mistake you get away with it (like me being punted through the bus stop/chicane) but then if it knows you cheating, straight DQ,
You got to laugh about it bud, just imagine how much they raged behind the scene, bet they threw their controller down onto the floor, stomped of to the toilet to scroll on tiktok lol

I try and call out all the braking points etc in all the videos. Many people have highlighted I do not follow the racing line per se, I do my own line lol. I do hope it helps you out. I also call out my braking point markers which help identify where to brake on tracks that do not have distance markers. Such as cranes and huts lol.

This is why the qualifiers before tc gt etc need to do more, in terms of vetting.
This is it mate. What’s the point of a skill and safety rating when it does not apply during matchmaking.
My best on Homestead with the MG6 is 1.26.112 on Mediums. I have race and beat all the top 5 players on your lobby for the first race. At my level of racing is all about consistency because we all put in the same lap times so you can't afford tocmake a mistake. veru stressfull as well 😅
While also one of the best races when you are all on par. Keeps you on your toes lol. Where you find tiny little gains here and there.
This week definitely had a theme of Fast Quick Races with a lot of contact. I’m guessing because of the shorter length of races people were feeling pressured to assert their position a bit more. (Also that odd name is “Weed Cobra” in leet speak)
That is a good shout there bud, I am not a massive fan of the sort races so i can understand what you are saying, I don't think ramming your way through is the right way of going about it, especially pitting people but, sometimes is latency to, just because I see them next to me, does not mean they see me next to them at the same time. All part of the fun, as long as I don't take everyone, I am a happy camper lol.

I agree. I much prefer the longer / medium length races with pit stops involved. Better clean racing usually.
yeah so true, I cannot wait for long races to come out (if it ever does) I mean even create a separate lobby for it. I am sure it'll be populated Many people are calling for it
Why though? It's not as if it matters if you win or not. Ran into some idiots today myself. Our community is filled with morons who never back out and think they're entitled to the corner if their front bumber is 1 mm alongside. I had a 4.5 second penalty when an idiot decided to rejoin the track and ran straight into me. It's mind boggling.
I can relate with you there bud. Apex syndrome and people thinking they can rejoin the track and cut straight to the racing line at 10 mph with zero issues
4.5 second penalty is because it think you intentionally rammed them. Penalty system at its finest.
Aup mate how you been, good vid as always, I’ve also noticed that people seem to be very angry with their driving this week, was on kayalami and this Audi kept putting me into the gravel every time I tried to go past him then after the 5th time of him putting me into the gravel I got a 2.20 second penalty and he got nothing, this did annoy a bit to be fair and I did my first ever rage quit never quit mid game before that point, just made me aaaaaaahhhhhh

OH yeah I bet you got the penalty for of track violation to? Because Forza Penalty Logic lol. It really is hard to break past a player like that, A little nudge might help at the right angle, like the one in the video of me and the MG, just a little tap, and the penalty system did not even know that i touched him. Easier said than done of course, when you are caught up in the moment and your doing your best to be clean.
Did you pit them before you rage quit? Cannot be a full rage without a full send, totally missing and slamming into a wall lmao ( Disclaimer: i do not condone this act but if you have clips please send them in :D)

No I did not full send just sat facing the wall for a moment before leaving, obviously not rage quitting properly must try harder next time

Its not a nice feeling to feel that way bud i totally understand, The way I think of it, is if I am not laughing 10-20 minutes after an incident I am in the wrong place, Make sure after you stood back you laugh about it else it'll eat you bud,
It can only get better, There was a player in a previous video that used to be a toxic rammer, I raced that player again the other day (viewer spotted the name) and said WOW that person has changed, no ramming, avoiding others and racing cleanly. Just think, you will race that person again and dominate them.
Oh as soon as I left I was no longer bothered if that’s the only way he can beat me then that’s a him problem, I just try do my own race and keep it clean most of the time it goes to plan.
Yeah, best way to think, we all have that one friend that when you introduce them to people, you apologise first lol

It was just ruthless, Like honestly, I think i need to sit down and talk to someone about it lol.
@@Flashms I feel you, no matter where I qualified, I was guaranteed to come out of turn 1 in last, so I just walked away, trying again tonight.
Yeah exactly, this is where daytona is kinda cleaver, as long as you get the steering angle right, when you come of the line you go straight while everyone else drops, thus much better start
Can't believe the behavior of these (console) people. Gives me comfort in spending the extra cash on iracing
Anahahaaah I just got coached into trying it out and I did a lap on there last night (practice mode) so will have to see.

I get rammed every race I seem to attract them I rage quit so many times. Fridays and weekends are the worst the excited kids come out to play and they understand zero about driving and racing and the game doesn’t properly punish them
That’s true. But then again this is where the safety rating and skill system should come into play but forza would rather populate the lobby over have better racing.

On the upside it does provide funny content lol. While also making me look like an idiot because 2 videos ago I was saying omg forza has got better the rammers have gone lol. Total plank me lol
Most of the clean drivers have left for greener pastures. War, war never changes. If you had to pay for Forza instead of it being on Game Pass, then there might be some cleaner drivers. It's TOO accessible. There is no racecraft or etiquette in Forza. DR and SR means nothing. People seem to forget that racing is a non contact sport.

I totally agree with you. While also I would say if I “paid” for forza I would also be a little more bitter with the condition it is in.
I totally agree. I mean yes there are many skill levels so this is why we have a rating system that is not used. Forza push full lobbies over driver skill level but hey ho lol

Drive through penalties for contact with other cars would make for much better racing.

Why don’t you use the proximity markers? they are not the best. but it’s better than nothing.
i had them on before to be honest I never paid attention to them, I use my mirror instead, prefer it to that brown arrow lol. I also have buttons mapped for looking left and right. You cannot have your eyes in all the places, many times during the editing I think how did i not see that car, and really its because I am watching and planning what is going on ahead like at the next corner, what's happening behind should not be a concern unless I am being overtaken, then I need to provide sufficient safe space for that. I get you though bud but someone not braking or pitting you, whether you have markers or not on your not going to change the outcome.
bloddy hell, this looks like Raceroom carnage when they have a free week for all content in a race, all rammers and all stupidity driving.
2nd race was a bit cleaner as i saw, but at the start, poor drivers that got collected by thouse "no brakers smash trough brainless drivers" and that audi that did that bumpdraft, and fast goin up, that would killed them tires so hard, and the outside line there is slower but faster in exit.
It was awful bud, I would understand a race here or there, but this was all day.
yeah that black Audi was quick on the straights, this is why i say the MG is and Audi is so close to each other so their not what I would say is OP. Yeah, the faster exit is what counts there though.
No reason for blantant pitting and smashing people through braking zones, that Audi at the end though, how did I miss that lol CLOSE
if that happened to me with all the wrecking and punting etc, i would jump into Wreckfest to get that frustration out of my system, i did it many times during Iracing, ACC, and some other racing games.

I have yet to play that game lol, see the great thing with forza you get 2 games for the price of one, so you get racing with wreckfest included lol no dlc required lol

"Playing" on Forza, or GTR etc when everyone is bouncing around using their game controller is just fun, stop trying to review performance like it's serious.
If you really want to use a simulator you'd get decent sim setup and use iRacing.
I understand what you are saying bud I do see both sides of the coin. Not everyone can afford that kind of luxury of being able to get a sim setup and pay for subscription games. Within forza there are ratings and the better rating you are the better/ cleaner race, well that is how it’s suppose to be. Of course this is not always the case but a level of expectation is there.
Myself I also race on ACC. Within low fuel motorsport doing BTCC. And in Iracing.
Watching these vids on youtube forza looks like a real race and so much better than GT7 imo...
Don’t get me wrong some of the races I have had, have been absolutely amazing. Clean as anything and some Serious competition. Just today was not the day to drive. Think everyone had to much anger juice running through them. I cannot comment on how gt7 races are. I have been told they can be just as good and as bad as forza. Just perks of playing online. Different skill levels, attitude and knowledge. Just got to remember to keep smiling :).

Wow this game looks awful - Not even talking about the drivers
7/10 times the races are absolutely great. If you’re thinking the graphics look awful I hate to say I’m on pc and using ultra settings but no ray tracing.
Other than that it’s pretty sweet once you spent 30 mins setting up your wheel config and tuning the car to drive how a car should lol.

I play in the same view and a proper radar is a must imo . Proximity arrows are useless
Pretty much. I never see the arrow. So I have the mirror and other player cars louder than my own car so I can hear their position. Still even with a radar crew chief and every optional extra cannot stop drivers purposefully ramming you. I do hope the new update works on the penalty system. Because it is much needed lol
