I did a small build last year and this year I'll be completely redoing it! I've purchased a build consultation from TBnation and I'm just waiting on my questionnaire!!
I haven't receive my 14 foot mirrocraft 4604 yet ( been waiting since dec. covid :( ) but I already started planning my design. Thanks to TBN and all your videos you've put out. Once all this covid crap is done I'd love to come down from Canada and meet you. Honestly great job
Thank you this great content. I picked up a old 14ft and would like to add this metal bow plate. Stupid question for you. How did you grind off the plate so you dont have a really sharp edge and area that would slice your fingers off? You riveted yours down but before I'd do that I feel like I'd want to round off both sides?? Not sure as I haven't done it yet but I'd love to know or see a video of how you finish it off. Thanks!
I have just bought my first ever boat & it is exactly like this one. Question: i am 6'5" 305lbs, so i have to build a sub- floor that is very sturdy, but also light weight, & budget friendly. What size angle, with & thickness do you suggest? Boat is 14'Lx53"t-50bW×17"D
We always encourage people to find deals and buy in bulk from the middle shot before going to us if you can get it cheaper but the chances you cannot that you would have to buy a full sheet of aluminum plus a full stick of metal and it would still be more
*Bow Plate Kit:* tbnation.net/products/bow-plate-builder-kit
Is this kit still available?
Also do you remember how long the biggest edge of that bow plate was?
literally building one this weekend. perfect timing for this video! just picked up for first bow mount 2 hours ago. Garmin Force 50". Wish me luck!
Me too! Just cut my .09 sheet yesterday and waiting on the tubing to come in on Friday.
Been watching this video series on this build. You have me thinking about a build of my own.
Just picked up my 16’ boat to work on with inspiration from you and your channel! Keep up the great work!

We should have passed you on the number in your order. Reach out to us on FB please.
Kinda cool where you are with this build because I’m also at about the same point. Very helpful
You are the man!!! I'm trying to build one like you!!
You got this!
love the it, don't have one yet just learning up so when I buy my blank haul I will know what to do
Great video. I'm loving this build.
Thanks, Shane!

There’s an entire playlist series on this boat. Search StarCraft.
The square tube that you used for reinforcement on the back, is it only riveted to the plate or to the sides of the boat also?
About to buy the kit for my build, are the crossmembers riveted to the side of the hull, or just to the plate?
Great stuff as usual.
Thanks
Awesome video

.067 with close spacing
Definitely a cool build... Aluminum welds would look lot better on it...
If you’re ever interested, I have a 14ft flat bottom jon boat in Parker that you could use to fabricate for videos. I just use it for the backwaters.
Let's talk later. I'm all about it.
What bit are you using for the countersunk rivets? I just order this and a framing kit and I’m curious what countersunk bit I need to install
I get a deburring/ countersink bit from Harbor freight.
Great 👍

What size and what blade is your circular saw
5” I think, with a Diablo blade
@@TinyBoatNation thank you so much
I’m actually doing this now and don’t know if I should put plate on inside of gunnel or on top because the slope angel on gunnel
If you're using aluminum you can bend it around the gunnel with a mallet
Sit on it for a while and then pull the trigger
Wait can I do this on fiber boat?
Yea, with ss hardware and bushings
@@TinyBoatNation nice. Now I can revive my old 15 ft fiber boat. Thanks mate
I know this is dumb - I don’t know how to become a channel member - the paid sub, for master classes, etc
It should give you an option to become a member under the video. Also on my channel if you click on it, it should have an option there as well.
@@TinyBoatNation Appreciate the response. I’m probably missing something right in front of me
@@TinyBoatNationHa, so I finally figured it out. It doesn’t look like I can join from the phone (at least the iPhone), but I can from desktop.
I need the old bow plate you don't want to use lol
Mfg. Are cheap but want a kings ransom for thet crap.
