Dragon wood is such an exceptional hardscaping material, I love that it can serve as a standard wood but can also serve as a landscape material in its own right. The small plant details sticking from the wood are spectacular.
I've never worked with it before, but so far I'm really enjoying it! Thank you! I'm hoping that the plants root into those little pockets soon!
I just rescaped yesterday and was thankful that I’m only doing epiphytes only for big tanks. Looks good!
When the wood floated up I gasped. Sorry you had to go through man, I feel it!!
Haha my wife gasped too. It wasn’t the end of the world, just a little setback that delayed me a bit.
The new scape looks great. I think Tucano tetra would look very nice in there.
That's a fantastic suggestion and I'll definitely look into those!
Nice rescape and nice save on that floater!😂 How about Rasbora Kubotai? With the darkbrown of the wood as a background, I think they would really pop out..
Thank you! I was screaming pretty loudly internally with that floater. Great suggestion with the Kubotais! I'm making a list of all the suggestions and will definitely look into those ones!
I love the rescape! The old was stunning as well.
Thanks my friend! Any suggestions of fish I should stock in here?
I'm not the only one who works on my tank while watching Survivor
Haha I was curious if anyone would pick up on the tv noise in those clips!
Celestial pearl danios would be awesome in there.
Also your response to the wood coming up involved much less expletives than mine would have hahaha
I was considering cpds as an option! I've kept them before and loved them! Haha I assure you I was screaming on the inside.
love the scape, beautiful 😊, put celestial pearl danios in it or chili rasboras...
Thank you so much! Cpd's and Chili's seem to be a crowd favorite so far.
That really wasn't the dumbest thing I've ever seen an aquascaper do. I'm sure it's happened to all of us at some time or another.
Haha okay maybe the dumbest thing (I'VE) ever done haha.
You're turning into one of my favorite channels, great content and editing. What do you use to shoot your videos?
As for fish, a school for axelrodi rasbora
Thank you so much for the kind words my friend! I use a Canon RP to shoot all my youtube content. I hadn't thought about doing axelrodi rasboras....I'm definitely going to look into those!
Love your content. What do you use with the tube to suction the sand or dirt out the tank?
Thank you so much! I just create the siphon using a fun trick I learned a while back with just the tube.
A group of neon blue rasbora would go well in there with blue shrimp or maybe emerald green eye rasbora🙏🏻
That's a great call! The blue would really pop nicely with the color of the plants!
Also not your everyday fish, havent seen them that much ( in the uk )
I can think of only one place in the USA where I've seen them in person and they didn't look super healthy, so I'll have to do my research on where I can find them if I choose to go that route.
@@SimplyAquascaping when i bought them they were barely blue and within a day they all had there nice lush blue with red 🙏🏻 i have them with a group of chillis and i love them my 2 favorite nano fish
Wow they colored up quickly! I'm putting together a list of all the suggestions so I'll definitely make sure to put them on the list!
hi future kevin. id recommend something red like chili rasboras to contrast the blue shrimp
Great suggestion, my only worry is that there's a decent amount of flow in the tank and I've heard chili's don't like strong currents.
@@SimplyAquascaping thats fair, gotta make sure the husbandry is number one above aesthetics
Indeed.
The shrimps were all over the place 😅
Oh my goodness no kidding! When I pulled that mother stone out of the scape I swear there must've been another hundred or so that flooded off that thing haha
That’s a nice colony. Honestly both set up are beautiful 🤩.
Thank you! I put a good portion of the blue rilis back in the new scape so hopefully they start breeding again soon.
How is that light sufficient enough to grow these plants? Isn't that light for nano tanks?
This tank is only 9 gallons in size so it’s actually perfect for the chihiros c2. The light is run on 60% power for 8 hours a day.
@@SimplyAquascaping you think using chirios slim would be a better choice than c2? Or the difference is unnoticeable?
