I've been using the cup for 13 years and they are wonderful. I have extremely heavy periods, so bad that I will soak through a supermax tampon in an hour and a half. With a cup I can make it 8 hours meaning I only have to change it three times a day. It's so nice being able to get through my shift at work without running to the bathroom because there's blood dripping down my legs. It's saved me from unnecessary embarrassing situations. On plus side they don't dry me out like tampons would, leaving me itchy.
I've been using a cup for 6 months probably. I always feel the seal breaking on my heavy days. I switched to a medium sized cup and even now, my cup leaks even before filling completely. please advice.
@@MM-tv5bs please get a lube and apply around the edges, relax your muscles, squat and play around your vagina, deep your fingers inside and ensure it fully opens, it’s okay, it’s your vagina, get comfortable try and push like a woman giving birth to ensure your hands can touch the tip, make sure it pops up fully before you leave the bathroom, it’s the best for heavy bleeders like us, wear à sanitary pad overnight under as well bedtime for extra protection.

I have been trying everything possible with my cup to open and on my last period I accidentaly tryed something that is making my cup open every single time on the first try- put it in your favorite fold, insert HALF way- so half of the cup is still outside of your vulva. Release it and wiggle it to open. Now just pust it by the pin inside to the place where you place it usually. It is much easyer to let it open while it is still partially outside so you can play with it with fingers. Hope it helps ❤

Thanks for making a short to-the-point video. Been using one for a while but only intermittently because I randomly get leaks and never know why or how. Hope this works.
Great short vid! Love the cup I have 4, just a piece of advice from experience: never use a new cup during a flight, I did and during a 9 hour flight, I felt it was leaking, maybe due to the pressure on the plane or God knows, I was in the tiny bathroom on board my legs were cramping, couldn't grip it bc the stem was too short and slippery nor break the suction so finally the cup sliped out of my hand and landed in the floor 😣😭 the room looked like a murder scene, I had to wipe floors, walls and toilet, put the cup in paper in my pocket and finish my trip with a cushion of toilet paper between my legs. So stick to your reliable good old cup for long trips😅😋

if you feel around the tip rim of the cup and feel anything besides the walls of your vagina, it is probably your cervix. i have seen other videos describe it feeling like the tip of your nose with a small hole on the tip
Thankyou... even i have the leakage problem. Everytime i use a cup, I feel scared to insert my fingers n check it, thinking my fingers might hurt my cervix.
Thanks so much for the video! I have been using one for a few years now and LOVE it, but yes, there’s definitely a learning curve. I’d love to know what your cleaning routine is with it. I clean mine, but obviously don’t want any unwanted bacteria getting up there haha
I wash it with soap and water twice per day. Then after my period I sanitize it in boiling water (20-min) ready for next month :) They also say you can clean it with rubbing alcohol (or their cleaning wipes if you forget to boil)

I hope it helps! I wash it with soap and water every 12 hours (when I empty it) during my period. I boil it at the end of my cycle for the next month. 💞
Love that you made a video about menstrual cups! I just started using one after my 2nd kiddo and I will not go back to tampons. I bought my current one pre pregnancy so it just happens to work but I feel the leakage sometimes. Any recommendations on other brands?

@@sleepilatanja I don't think so. The leaking suggests the blood is going around the cup, if one gets a bigger size, won't there be more folds for the blood to go around? Maybe I'm getting it wrong. Have the same issue.

I have been facing this problem that my menstrual cup never saves me from leaking in my first night of my periods each month. It's not only about leaking but not a single droplet is collected in my cup in the first and second night. Everything just spills . I searched solution for this problem a lot but nothing worked . It's works well during day but not during night. I hate using menstrual cup in night. Can someone please suggest me a solution?
I’ve been using cups for a year and more, I bought like 4 different ones and all of them leaks, especially if i lay down. Am tired and I wanna give up… Can the problem be that my cervix is in the cup? Like there no space between my cervix and the cup, so the cup covers it!?
I want to use a cup but have tried two and they both tend to slip down while wearing them. I’ve had two kids, is it possible my pelvic floor is too week to wear one? I originally thought that didn’t matter since people with multiple kids can wear one successfully.
By 2, do you mean size or brand, because from whst I hear, there are 2 sizes, meaning 1is for people who've never hads and the other for those who have kids.
I have the same problem. Two kids and I bought a post baby one and it just ends up uncomfortable after a short time. I’ve tried it a few times over the past few years and haven’t had success. Recently trying again.

I HAVE THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM. I have used all of these tips and I feel as though I have the seal down when a few hours later it leaks! I have no clue why and I don’t know how to fix this situation, can anyone help?
As I insert menstrual cup it goes smoothly and makes a seal (which I know by tugging)but as I start to move or walk or run it breaks it's seal on its own and make a mess ,I have been having vaginal queefing for a while now and I suffer from constipation as well ,I searched about it and it says it happens because vaginal muscle are not strong enough to keep holding the cup and suggestions were to start kegal exercises to strengthen pelvic floor muscles.IS there any one suffering like that ?any suggestions what to do alone with kegal .
Hey- @khanmary8116 I had mild vaginal prolapse with my last child and experience something similar. What has helped me is to do deep abdominal, pelvic floor exercises. I don’t know what your mobility situation is like, but these tend to be very easy. Just be consistent with them. It’s an easy TH-cam or Google search to find exercises ;) Hope that helps you!
Am I the only one who finds it hard to spin it as she said to do and to feel around it especially in the very front area. Need help and suggestions as mine in the very front is almost impossible to feel but the little i can feel has me feeling as it’s bent a bit in the front. Now I’m afraid of leaking although being on birth control I don’t bleed like when I wasn’t on birth control. I hope it helps! There are also different brands and some have sizes. If these don’t work you could try a different size.
GOD BLESS YOUR SOUL
I'm giving up on cups after facing continuous excessive leakage problem for straight 4 years. i know cups are super comfy product until it starts leak. I'm tired of adjusting my cup 4 times in 4 hrs, and using pads with cups. it's very disappointing what's the benefits of using a cup when I'm forced to put pads for the leakages. I've tried small to medium sizes cups, different cervix sizes cups even a menstrual disc nothing worked on me
Best thing ever.
Trying for the first time at 44 (really should have tried before!!) Do you suggest wearing period panties for leaks? Any particular brand?
Thank you for this video! I have a cup but don’t use it because it « moves ». I will retry with your advices. I have questions: how do you wash it? Just water? Do you boil it?
I hope it helps! I wash it with soap and water every 12 hours (when I empty it) during my period. I boil it at the end of my cycle for the next month. 💞
Really helped thank you x
Love that you made a video about menstrual cups! I just started using one after my 2nd kiddo and I will not go back to tampons. I bought my current one pre pregnancy so it just happens to work but I feel the leakage sometimes. Any recommendations on other brands?
There are so many now… mine is DivaCup, but there are good reviews on OrganiCup, LilyCup, Pixie and Honeypot as well 💞
Mine has given up opening completely. Always has a dent no matter what I do
It's my 7 month using menstrual cup. As you said I always check if it's created a vacuum there. But no matter what it leaks after 2-3 hrs.
I've to take pad over it. It sucks!
Sameeee :/
Could it be a size too small?
Facing d same!
I'm facing the same problem... what should I do?
@@sleepilatanja I don't think so. The leaking suggests the blood is going around the cup, if one gets a bigger size, won't there be more folds for the blood to go around? Maybe I'm getting it wrong. Have the same issue.
I’ve heard that the use of cups and discs can cause backflow, which may be a factor in the development of endometriosis. Is this a concern?
I don’t think that’s true.
I am 17 and virgin, and have high and tilted cervix, I have tried Sirona small size menstual cup. But it always leaks in 2 or 4 hours. I insert it properly and it does pop open but still leaks. What should I do??
Same issuee!!!!!
Whenever I use a cup it always leaks , I rotated it to both directions and it still leaks after some time. What can I do?
Thanks for the helpful video! I’m still nervous, but might try it. Which brand do you recommend?
I just started one a month ago and like it so far! Honeypot company :)
Mine is a diva cup, but there are lots of good ones out there!
Thanks for sharing Hermine!
I've always have slight leakage in first and second days of my period , afterwards it's ok ...I don't know why is that happening
Same :( I used tampons those first days and switched back to the cup. idk why the beginning of my period, it always leaks; I will definitely try this method and make sure to line it up with my cervix
I just started using in my 20s only issue I m facing is it doesn't come out my finger slip due to wetness
My menstrual cup seems to leak when I lie down, can you help with this?
I do all th ething but still leaking
Same experience
Hi, kindly let me know how soon I should be using menstrual cup after my delivery. My due date is 21 Oct 2022
Hello I’m using a menstrual cup for the first time and I find it really uncomfortable to th point where I’m in pain , I always feel myself very tense and uncomfortable do you have any tips? Or am I putting it in wrong ? If you could please help us really appreciate it🙏🏽
How many times you clean it a, day? 😮
During sleeping it's leaking why,?
Am I doing something wrong or putting it up too high? I can't reach to turn it? Maybe my fingers are too small? idk
Iam using it for 2 days😖. Still its leaking. Iam using now cup with pads. Iam using the 7 fold to insert the cup. Now iam going to try ur tip🙂. Hope it will save me🫠
Is it works??
Is it works
My cup slips inside . Why does it even happen.?? Where is the stem supposed to be?? Inside or bit outside?
Hii i am using menstrual cup form 4 months and i just get comfortable with from the first month and there’s no mess but from past 2 months i get some stain on my panties even after using menstrual cup can you help me with this?
Mine is not able to pop out... even after roundly
Does it pain first time while inserting
First time may be you feel a little pain but it will be for few seconds and then you'll get very comfortable with it
I would use lube for sure, and you might not be doing a fold that works for you. I tried the C fold and it was EXTREMELY painful, but now I'm doing the punch down and it feels a lot better.
I tried a lot of menstrual cups , but all of them have a common problem, my cups tend to slide up in my vaginal canal as a result of which they start overflowing even when half full , my physical activity majorly includes regular household chores , walking and gentle streching . What do you suggest for this ? I have tried changing sizes also but same issue pops up always . TIA
I have been having this issue too.. but I never used to. Not sure what the heck I’m doing wrong 😆 it’s starting to frustrate me 😬
My cup slips inside. Where it is supposed to be ??? Inside or outside? And it leaked !!! And I am not sure if my cup was open or not because it didn't made the pop sound
I can't feel the pop side but the sides feel that it has no folds. But everytime I feel leakage even the cup is not half filled. Tried every possible way. Don't understand where am I wrong. Please help
Love.😊
Please any advice for me?
I get hot flashes.. and my cup some times leaks.. even it fills 1/8 cup.. it akways has more space and I make sure that it is open.. plz tell me what to do... I have no kids
How do yall do this while out and about? And it seem so messy 🥴
I love the cups but it keeps leaking. Unfortunatly I just cant stickbmy finger in to check the rim, I just can not. Does anyone have another tip on how to make sure its leak free? Please?
Where does the over flow and blood cloths go? Some of us just ain't normal.
I am using this cup for 3 month's but know i started leaking even cup didn't get full but I leak after 30 mints only.i.just tired..... someone pLz help me out in more detail
My Diva cup always leaks no matter what I do 😭. I’ve tried everything you mentioned but I still leak🥺
Oh no… can you try a different size?
Same here! Have you found a solution?
How do u manage to get ur fingers all the way to the top. I find it pretty difficult or perhaps i still get nervous
This is me, impossible to feel around it especially the front area and if I get any far in to feel it I feel it’s a little slight bent into a C. Mind you it’s my first day 🥺🥹
@@jeneffergonzalez okay so now that i am about 4 months in practice , i promise it gets easier. Definitely the squatting method works best lol and dont let go until you rotate and make sure its suctioned in. I realized i was able to go in further if i didnt let go of the cup to soon . Hope it helps
Also… use reusable pads to avoid stains
Nice sharing
Why am I such I loser , I have two cups and none of them works for me . Always leaking so I still have to use pads 😭😭😭😭 I've tried all techniques, I've tried everything I could possibly find and still not working
Is the cup supposed to show a little bit?
No, it should be completely inside
Otherwise it will make you uncomfortable
I am turning sixteen this year . I started using menstrual cup from past eight months. It used to leak in the first few months a lot and it still leaks sometimes if not placed correctly.
Try period undies for nighttime!
I’ve been using cups for a year and more, I bought like 4 different ones and all of them leaks, especially if i lay down. Am tired and I wanna give up…
Can the problem be that my cervix is in the cup?
I've been using it for 2 years now and it still leaks I really can't fix it at all I've tried so many things, I don't even have much a heavy flow and still it doesn't work at all. Can someone please help me??!!
I HAVE THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM. I have used all of these tips and I feel as though I have the seal down when a few hours later it leaks! I have no clue why and I don’t know how to fix this situation, can anyone help?
Til this day I’ve never been able to turn the cup inside of me idk how ur doing that lady 😂
Can a sealed cup rotate?
@@deepshikha2914 idk 😂
Sounds gross and not safe
It’s not easy to stick your finger up there to feel the rim of the cup and your cervix🙄
Really need help on making sure it’s popped out as I think mines bent a bit inward up front 🥹😭
