On a repointing job in a beautiful country estate. Going to relay any loose slabs, repoint the whole patio areas and then finish with a good clean. #construction #building #patio
can I ask what mix of mortar you use for the slab pointing, it looks quite dry, is that to avoid staining the slabs? I ask as I have a pointing job to do at home.
Yes all depends on what your using etc, but when on a simple mortar mix I like to use it so it binds in your hand but doesn’t leave a wet mark. Always a damp joint before also.
Nice job. Slow and steady. Looks like nice estate. Funny watching the dogs running around in the Timelapse sections
Zen and the art of patio pointing. Great job.
Thank you Sean!
That just a dry mix mate...nice to see you using your fingers to press it down
Semi dry, with moist joints
Excelente video 👍 👏 saludos desde chile 👊

@@J.HarveyStoneworkSo that's a 4:1 sand cement mix? Do you wet the mix at all?
How long did it take you both to point the whole patio?
What gauge do you use for this mate
4/1, 3 sharp, 1 ginger 👍
