EVG Animated Traversal is compatible with anniversary edition (except the latest version I think, because of the lack of DAR) and my mod + requirements should also be compatible with AE. If you have any issues with it please let me know (on the mod page) :)

since the dawn of gaming homebrew continues to carry the weight. The first game ever was a homebrew invention(console of sorts) to allow interactivity in a vacuum tube it was electrical but still physical in nature, the first true game was homebrew for a heart monitor.
Mods are the descendants to homebrew. They have changed form but continue to carry the duty.

@Rafael Silva it's really fantastic if they're bothering to add mechanics that could've been added but weren't bothered. whether or not they have access to the engine is honestly irrelevant, considering they're registering their own script system (SKSE) which is no surprise.

    • @generatoralignmentdevalue

Yeah if the professionals just had an unlimited team size and received praise for getting their animations right 11 years after launch, they could all be as good as the Skyrim modding community.

Thats ok. It probly never will. I think Bethesda like all the other insatiably greedy game makers is trying to steer players away from games you buy once and have full access to, in favor of online games and micro transactions. If you look at the elder scrolls main releases: Morrowind 2002, Oblivion 2006, Skyrim 2011, you can see they were pretty consistent in releases. But now it has been 11 years since skyrim first came out, and nothing but additions for skyrim and ESO since. And if you look at whats been released in the past few years it is ALL ESO. l)J

They're just way too confusing, though, so I have to stick to Bethesda approved ones where all the lame mods are there and, like, 1% of the mods there are the cool ones that were ported from Nexus. I even tried guides, but they weren't clear enough so now I'm just more confused, and every single time I try again at using Nexus and mod managers and all that, I just give up.

I have tried Deadly Shadows in the past and enjoyed it. I have also tried EVGAT just after it first came out when it had been implemented into just a few places and thought it was a mod that had a HUGE potential.
Now it sounds like that potential is starting to manifest.
I have a love for sneaky thieves and adventurers, and it looks like it's time to re-visit EVGAT again!
I'm still waiting for someone to create a mod where your secret thief identity will start to be known in the form of wanted posters placed in cities you have pulled capers in, and as you venture around Skyrim you will start to hear people talking about the mysterious thief who "just confounded the guards in a certain city and who cannot be caught". Recently, in one of the interviews about Starfield, Todd Howard admitted that integrating ladders into their games was still a problem for BGS due to limitations in the Creation Engine. Keep in mind this is the Creation 2 engine that he's actually talking about. Yet, in 2023, amateur modders, many without any real game development experience, are still implementing mechanics into Skyrim that the devs thought to be impossible. I love the human spirit.

As a huge parkour fan who gets really annoyed when the characters in the game I am playing can’t reach a place or overcome a simple obstacle I could easily do; and as an Assassin’s Creed fan, I’ve always perceived Skyrim’s combat system and, more relevantly, the lack of cool traversal abilities/options one of its biggest low points.
I’ve always searched for a cool parkour mod in Skyrim and, now that I see this, I NEED the next Elder Scrolls (whenever that comes out), to already have in a system like that! Even better if it comes with a full skill tree, so we can keep opening possibilities as we evolve in the game! ^^

Animated Traversal. If youre currently updated to the most current version of anniversary edition, DAR will not work. the mod isnt updated to the latest version and the mod author isnt currently available. I realize we can back pedal to previous versions but that doesn't work for everyone Thanks Bethesda..

Bethesda, if you are out there. Hire these people for TES:6.
Please, it breathes new life into one of the most traditionally boring playstyles; Stealth.
Instead of the tree being about giving the player one hit kills, it could be about the player gaining dozens of ways to interact with the world to bypass enemies, incapacitate, and escape.
Imagine a thieves guild that has only a single entrance, that requires a level 50 sneak perk to access by climbing in.
The guild could have dozens of "drop boxes" hidden in tucked away places. You could be on the run from the guard, slip into a crevice and place your stolen goods in, dip out and try to escape. Maybe you get caught, but your stolen goods are safe. Maybe you escape, and you can always come back any time.
If you go to jail, maybe the guild runs by the drop boxes. They take all of your loot, but place within some clean money as compensation. Not as much as selling to a fence, but still a reward so you can return and get back on your feet.

This is one of the things ES6 has to implement to truly feel like a game with a decade-long shelf life. However, idk if they will and I think that will be a big issue. Not necessarily this mod/feature not being there, but the fact that the time between Skyrim and ES6 will realistically be 15ish years and Bethesda has to live up to and provide enough features to make the wait feel worth it. Personally, i just don't think Bethesda will make a game that feels like it was worth the wait. I hope I'm wrong but they've been shitting the bed lately and Starfield, as of the trailers, doesn't look any better.

im like "finally I can vault anywhere in Syrim, maybe its time to reinstall and play again"
the realization its only scripted and can be used only on marked spots highly dissappointed me...
Basically its more of a cheat than a mod since you are forced to use it at said spots only and its just for shortcuts or to bypass puzzles which were the most fun in Skyrim...
Summary, completely useless mod for anyone whom wants more immersion and have the game look more modern... I play skyrim for the open world and having scripted "jumps" and whatnot is not the experience I would like to see in Skyrim, for Final Fantasy 7 it fits since its linear game, for Skyrim it does not and I think the one whom made this should consider to make it available anywhere and any time... it shouldnt be that hard to set an object height, widht and lenght and assign a particular animation if object requirements are met...

These are all lovely additions for certain, but I still wish that they could be combined with Open Cities. Is that way too much of a blast from the past by now? I haven't followed the Skyrim mod community in some years.

I wonder if ES6 might have come out years ago if the devs didn't continually see the latest mod and think, "Dang, now we have to integrate this into ES6 from the beginning." 😅

ok, time for a new modded run through Skyrim
Srsly, Skyrim would be dead ages ago if it weren't for this amazing modding community!

Mfs really created a new game from Skyrim because ES6 is taking too much time to come out. I swear bethesda has a community of crack heads with too much determination. They should just open actual studios at this point, fuck it.

As amazing the modding community of this game is, and a lot of this mods are game changing for some reason most of these mods doesn't fit the game, there's always something missing.
Bethesda should approach most of these creative and awesome people, some, because there are mods that's just stupid and disgusting in this community as well. But they should hire these amazing mod creators and pay them, to work with a team with more resources and more people with cool ideas and totally REMAKE the game instead of reselling the same garbage again and again and again.
I can't wait to see Avowed gameplay mechanics and I hope to be better than The Elder Scrolls.

hello doctor nostalgia, I am a creator like you, I would like to bring full skyrim gameplay to my channel. I would like to have your advice on which mod to install for combat, I would like to make a khajiit that uses two-handed weapons, such as spears or halberds. Do you have any mods to recommend to add to those shown in this video?

00:36 This! I've been thinking this from the first time I encountered those wide Dwemer bars in some dungeons.
Its not that wide, just walk through them.

Bethesda: "Write that down! Write that down!..."
It sucks though that the author of the framework mod that these mods rely on seems to have an elitist attitude about game version (new versus original) or is just too lazy to try and figure it out for the original version, so their mods are only available for the new version of Skyrim.

What would it take to Make Skyrim's climbing system more like AC?

  • @cor3564
    @cor3564 ปีที่แล้ว

I love the idea of adding climbing to Skyrim. Yet I have always disliked the cut action scenes in some games that disjoint character control. I enjoy a climbing system like Conan were someone can just climb structures. I haven’t used this mod so I am going to hope its the latter.
