Just hopping here to add another kudo to you and your mos ! It looks quite good and it's actually the first time I've seen it. I'll definitely try it out some time. Bookmarked and tracked it for the future !
This is the first video I've ever came across from your channel. Must say this is god-tier. I was thinking of changing my trees and grasses mods and landed on this video by chance. To switch mods one by one and record over and over for comparison - that surely takes a long time, even greater patience and effort. I'm truly grateful that this video exists. This video is beyond great and thank you so so so much!
This is actually the best tree comparison video I've seen. Trees make up so much of the game and despite so many tree mods looking great I rarely liked the vibe change from vanilla. Even Enhanced Vanilla felt kind of wrong for me, but Nature of the Wild Lands feels right (once it's done) and maybe I'd be happy with Myrkvior right now.
Please never stop making videos like this. The commentary and comparisons are just so on point and anyone who's attempted to compare mods themselves will recognize how time consuming this must be without even counting the hours of editing. You are very, _very_ much appreciated. I spent a long time trying to decide on a tree mod today before I remembered finding this channel recently and sure enough I check and there was a tree comparison video! I could have saved so much time just come here first.. 😅
Thank you so much and especially for acknowledging the hours of work this video took 🙏💚 Too bad you didn't find this video earlier, I'm curious though: which mod(s) did you choose for the trees?
@@BardsCollegeGraduate My favorites are Nature of the Wild Lands and Ulvenwald. They are both really aesthetic, one in a very lush fantasy way but the other in a realistic way. I need something that's not taxing to my machine, old reliable here has seen a lot of winters already, so my choice was Ulvenwald. Thanks for making the choice easier to make!
@@soppaismi’ve been watching videos for tree mods trying to find a possible replacement for SFO, but as far as I’ve seen the only possible switch i’d make is either Nature of the Wildlands or Veydogolt. But not come with worse performance and they do hit/miss in certain areas. Whereas SFO just feels solid overall in all areas, offering a great visual enchantment that still fits Skyrims theme, with great performance! Looks like after all the searching I’m sticking with SFO as always lol. I just need a good grass mod to pair it with since I don’t prefer the SFO grass.
I love Happy Little Trees. They do a nice job balancing performance and visual quality. They are also lore friendly. I don't like how some mods transform a boreal forest into a more temperate forest. I might try the Carpathian Forest, though. It looks nice.

I really liked the comparisons made in a few familiar locations and also the different regions. Gives a really comprehensive overview of what changes are made and where. The video I didn't know I needed. :)
Thank you so very much for this video! I've been using SFO since I started modding Skyrim in 2013, and I want to try something different now that my latest PC build can handle some of the newer and heavier stuff. Your video has been the best resource for comparison for me, and I can't thank you enough for all the time and effort I know must have been put into it!
Thank you! Glad I could help! I was also in a desperate need for something like this, so I guess the only way to have it was to create it 🤓 hehe. Have fun modding!

I definitely have to try 3D trees, out of all the mods you presented, the trees in this one look the most next-gen and the performance seems to be surprisingly good!
Thank you!!! I wanted to try something other than SFO and Enhanced Vanilla Trees, but I was always torn between Myrkvior and Ulvenwald, and this really helped me make up my mind! Thanks soooo much!
This was so well made, thank you making it. I ended up going with Nature of the Wild Lands although I wish the trees were bigger, I liked the dense look of Veydogolt Trees.

This was the best tree comparison video I've seen. Fantastic job hun, keep up the great work! :) I was personally torn between Happy Little Trees, Nature of the Wild Lands and Myrkvior personally. I agree. NotWL will be god tier when fully finished!
You're right, Ulvenwald completely flew under my radar, thank god you're here because it looks absolutely amazing ! But that said I don't think it'll be able to dethrone Happy Little Trees for me, that mod is just so perfect to me : good balance of vanilla-friendliness, amazing visuals and performance. Myrkvior is actually up on my list as well but NOTWL is a bit too taxing for me, I don't like to dip too low below 60fps. As for the video, it's actually amazing, great job! For a long video (compared to the recent ones) it's really good ! Maybe the only "critique" would be to stay completely silent during the comparison shots so smooth brains like me can focus solely on the differences and the satisfying transitions but that's just personal preference and also because I'm used to that since it's a really popular thing to make. And even then, your voice is sorta soothing and sweet so it's not a big deal either. Anyway very nice job and thanks for shedding some light on Ulvenwald !
Hey, thanks for feedback! I'm trying to find a balance between commentary and just, you know, cinematics... the thing is, I can see that people leave as soon as I stop talking in the analytics 😅 but I agree! Wow you nailed it with this one. This is easily the best mod comparing video I have ever seen. This video was so well structured and it provided us with so much useful information. And I especially liked how you showed us a comparison off all the different biomes (even including Hjaalmarch) and it was quick with the name of the mod In the screen the entire time, so we can quickly step forward and backwards in the video for comparing trees. Banger video!
That was a great video - you definitely helped me decide which mod to go with. Glad to see you like Happy Little Trees, as well! It's my personal favourite, because it changes the fugly barren reach trees to something a lot more presentable, improving Skyrim's woods in every respect, without turning them into a fairyland.
I have used 3d trees and plants and what i was delighted about was that it also overhauled plants other than trees like cabbage, nirnroot and etc. Its good to have it all in one.
Tried practically all of them and ended up at happy little trees for fps and atmosphere but nature of the wildlands is runner up until it covers all of Skyrim. Great video 👍🏾
I was wondering why switched from 3d tree to others and something feels odd when I go to Riften, now I understand, 3d tree really did a great job in that area, the aesthetic is unbeatable. love your comparison, that's some effort there.
Thanks a lot! You've helped me with my tree mod dilemma. I was originally using Veydogolt. It looked fantastic and was only getting around 2 FPS drop when I was in Riverwood which I thought was fine. But after going around the Falkreath area and that road near Hillgrund's Tomb, my FPS went down to 40ish FPS so I decided checking other tree mods. That said, I'm settling with Myrkvior for now. 😊

Thanks for the video, it was great. I've been running Happy Little Trees since it came out and it's awesome. Today I realized I could combine it with Nature of the Wild Lands and wow it looks amazing, unlike my FPS lol.
Wow, if all your mod reviews are of this quality then I guess remaking a mod list won't be so bad after all. Sincerily thank you for making this. The comparisons are great, I love the addition of the performance review, and all the different shots together.
Absolutely fantastic video comparison: detailed, right to the point, real experience based, pros/cons and includes old and new mods. You also consider the original design of the game. One of the best Skyrim modding channels I've ever find by far. The bad side is now I want your opinion about every single mod category (ENB, water, weather, textures...)
I agree with Happy Little Trees. It's beautiful and performance friendly. I tried the other mods. They are beautiful, yes, but my system melted like ice.
God this video is much better showing and talking about tree comparisons than many others I've found. I do hope there will be othr comparisons in the future like grass mods and more. This helped me narrow down what tree mod to replace EVT with, been wanting some more variety so now I've gotta pick out of the top 3 lol. As long as the Aspen trees are further enhanced (one of the things bethesda actually made to look good in base skyrim) rather than replaced with normal freaking trees xD
Nature of the Wildlands got a big update recently, affects Morthal and doesn't hit performance as hard anymore. I'm using it together with Traverse The Ulvenwald, CG4 Trees, and Aspens Ablaze. Had been on the fence about trying Ulvenwald before seeing this video so thanks for that! Unfortunately Nature of the Wildlands main file doesn't support seasons of skyrim. Luckily not something I use anyway so no real loss.
Great comparison, saves a lot of time on scouring the pages for mods and comparing the pictures. My favourites are definitely Nature of The Wild Lands and Ulvenwald, but there's definitely some favouritism coming from me as well, seeing as my best vacation months were spent in Carpathians :>
Your content is fantastic! i've just got back into skyrim after a long hiatus and im thoroughly enjoying modding it, Thank you for these videos! looking forward to any new content. :)
This is great! The side-by-side comparisons are fantastic, and I love your top three picks also. It's a hard decision to make, I guess I'll just have to try each of them for different games :D
Fantastic comparison! Though in the future if you revisit this topic you might want to consider discussion how each mods LODs are. Myrkvior and Happy Little Trees for example have great support for Dynodolod 3 ultra trees using Hybrid LOD models either natively or by someone else in the community. I was playing around with Nature of the Wild Lands the other day and it is still using the old 2D billboards which look terrible in comparison to the new method in Dynodolod 3. That being said, its still a work in progress so not really a huge nock against it, just something to consider.
Ah, you're 100% right! I was actually thinking about including the LOD bit in the video, and as an afterthought, should've went through with it. And thanks!
These comparisons are pretty well done I must say. Even though I'm using NWL at the moment, this video brought back the reasons why I loved SFO back in the earlier years. It's a good balance of variety and performance. HLT is definitely another close one up my alley. Blubbo's tree replacers are also another addition worth checking out, but it does come with a decent amount of clutter, some clipping and weird wind blown animations.
Glad to hear that! I loved SFO as well. Definitely will be checking out Blubbo's, already tried out Whiterun and Markarth trees on an earlier video- the trees look so good!
EVT and Nature of the Wildlands look best to me. I use EVT simply because it keeps vanilla look and performs well, and you get the option of humongous trees which looks great.
Wow the quality in these videos are amazing. I love Ulvenwald, the trees look so crisp. I wish i could handle more dense forests (I had to remove dense nordic forests mod). I want to try Nature of the Wild Lands next, see how it compares to Ulvenwald + dense nordic forests.
Great comparison, and thanks for highlighting some tree mods I hadn't run in to yet. Happy Little Trees is also my new favorite, but there is one big problem I've run in to when using it to replace all trees: the reach trees are too different in size and shape when compared to the vanilla trees, which causes some interesting visual glitches. I've found several places where hanging moss or lanterns just float in the air when they are supposed to be hanging from a tree, to include some things placed by vanilla Skyrim, not just mods.
At some point you should do another tree comparison, a few mods got updated and some entirely new ones, like trees of Iduna, an updated Ulvenwald, diversity of trees (ported Xbox bundle), etc or even an armor bundle comparison like divergence AIO, Xavbio AIO, New Haven (Xbox ported), new 4thunknown armors, or even newer water retexture mods! I’m just naming ideas bc you do such a wonderful job at comparisons, and I do the same taking photos of the same spot multiple times to compare mods.
I originally clicked on the video cuz i thought it was "SKILL tree overhauls" but this worked too xD, also your voice is very pretty and calming. Enjoy your day ma'am.
Thanks for the feature! I based Ulvenwald off of the spruce forests close to where I live so It gladdens me to know it reminds you of home!
Oh heyyy!!! Absolutely loved Ulvenwald, feels like it just came from nowhere :D! And no problem, thanks for the mod 💚

I'll keep that in mind!
Really well made mod video. Love the comparisons and pace of the overall video. Keep up the good work.
So glad you liked it, thank you! Cheers!
Your content is fantastic! i've just got back into skyrim after a long hiatus and im thoroughly enjoying modding it, Thank you for these videos! looking forward to any new content. :)
Hey, thank you, I appreciate that! :D have fun modding!
This is a Great Comparison video!! Sharing this with a friend.
Aaaw yeaaah thanks!! 🙏
This is great! The side-by-side comparisons are fantastic, and I love your top three picks also. It's a hard decision to make, I guess I'll just have to try each of them for different games :D
great video, you have a very calming voice
Great vid that's full of very useful information. Thanks a bunch for making it!
I loved your video. The music was so beautiful it distracted me hahaha, had to go back and pay attention to the comparisons.
Adrian Von Ziegler is a master composer :') and thank you!
this is a very useful video, I finally decided which mod to use, thank you very much (I write through a translator)
How is this video so well done? Very informative, and such a beautiful voice. You're awesome.
Well, thank you so much! ☺️💚 you're too kind. Thanks for watching!
And thanks!
Thank you for thsi Video, I was looking for a new Tree Mod, used 3D for quite a while. HLT looks interesting to me the most.
Definitely will be checking out Blubbo's, already tried out Whiterun and Markarth trees on an earlier video- the trees look so good!
awesome video. I hope you make one for grass next!
Thank you so much! I hope you find the perfect tree overhaul for your game :)
Fantastic comparison, best Ive seen!! Would really like a similar comparison for the best grass-mods as well. Great work!!
Exceptionally well put together video. Most of these kind of videos do a terrible job of comparing the mod(s) to Vanilla.
Slick editing too. Bravo.
Hey, thanks so much! 🙏 I tried some new techniques, glad it paid off.
Amazing work. Thank you.
So glad, thank you!
Good vid, appreciate the links in the description
Thank you!
Fantastic, so helpful and informative. Thank you for your excellent work!
So glad to be of help! Thank you!
great vid! lookin forward to more mod videos
What a beautiful video!
One of the best i must say!
Thank you :3
💚
Amazing video. Easily one of the best mods/graphics comparisons I've ever seen. Superb editing and great information. Keep it up!
That's incredibly sweet-- thank you so much!! I worked hard for this at the time, so comments like yours make me think it was worth it!
Loved this so much
They're Birch because of the white trunks. Aspen have a light green trunk or dark brown when older
I only used skyrim 3d and plants for its plants. I switched over to cathedral for the frames but the 3d’s plants are incredible
I originally clicked on the video cuz i thought it was "SKILL tree overhauls" but this worked too xD, also your voice is very pretty and calming. Enjoy your day ma'am.
I wish Riften had a player home outside the main city in the vanilla game. It perpetually Autumn there and I absolutely love it!
