its because most people have a preference as to which joycon they like better (plus or minus). The sliders allow for you to choose whichever type of controller you want.

Better ergonomics, 4k screen and 4k output, and improved battery life. These are just the top three I can think of as I just bought a switch a few days ago.

It’s gonna be half the console we’ve hoped for. We’re NOT getting 1080p at 60FPS. Probably 1080p at solid 30 for most. For reference, if the current PS5 and Xbox Series X can’t achieve 1080p 60 FPS then there’s no shot the Switch 2 will because it’ll definitely be weaker.
I'm nearly 100 percent on this which is why I think people are understating the resolution. Nintendo NEVER launches a console without a very different controller config so I assume the new ones will be good for VR and handheld. I still think it's very possible that they'll use the actual display as the VR display. Like many other designs, including the one that Samsung teamed up with Oculus on. The console itself will be inserted into the headset in other words. I suspect they'll use smart rendering like Sony did where only the focal point will be rendered with full detail. This would allow them to use a very high resolution display that switches to a lower res when NOT in VR mode. Say, 1080 to 1440 when docked or handheld with a higher resolution that allows for at least 1080 per eye in VR.
I would just prefer a new switch with mostly the same shape but maybe more comfortable joy cons which doesn’t drift. Also better graphics. Like he said in the video
Switch 2 is gonna be PS4(2 teraflops) portable.... PS4 Pro(4 teraflops) docked. Everything else should be very similar to original Switch. My guess is it is called Super Switch and not Switch 2.
Here's what i want to see: -7" oled screen (we have one on the switch oled so it doesn't make sense to remove it) -a more exiting menu like the Wii u or 3ds's -easily removable joy sticks for when you encounter drift (everyone wants hall effect ones but there has NEVER EVER been a 1st party controller with those before so no) -small grips like the ones form the Wii u gamepad to make it more comfortable to hold -a virtual console like with the Wii, Wii u, 3ds had -and possibly analogue triggers
I definitely hope they upgrade from the little sticks on the current joycons to something bigger. I think the only excuse to use little switch joysticks on any device is if it fits in my pocket.
Honestly , i dont think there wil be a Switch 2 , i just think there will be a vr headset to go along with the switch (and possibly work with it) or another line up of the ds. it could also be a home console to go along with the switch , meaning nintendo can go back to powerful consoles while keeping there hybrid console in stock.
Out of all of those, the one that has Super Mario Odyssey on the screen is the best. But I wouldn’t mind if the Switch 2 is like the Steam Deck because I have never detached the Joy-cons and handed one to someone else and i use a Pro controller when play in table top mode
I Doubt we ever see a 4k capable switch. Just not possible in mobile device atm. At least not natively. Ps5/XSX are event capable of doing 4k/60 natively. I am hopping switch 2 will have 16 gb memory and hopefully be capable of 1080p/60 for switch 2. Still I wish Nintendo keep current switch. Just make console in box with decent ARM cpu and GPU from ampere or newer ( RTX 3xxx) and make so switch games can be fully playable on switch and Nintendo console. Go back to their root of decent hardware like n64 was. But we all know that never happen.
Xbox series and ps5 are not even 4k 60fps, no way the switch 2 will be. Also ive been on the steam deck for 2 years now and i dont think 1080 in portable mode isnt needed. 60-90hz on the go would be great.
I mean tons of lighter games can take advantage of a higher refresh rate and resolution. Hopefully we can get a $300 base model and a much more premium model. Today's market is too big for one size fits all, but everyone in Kyoto lives in an Ivory tower.

Honestly I would much rather have a 3DS 2 than a switch 2. I think it’d be really cool to have 3DS style console with PS4 level graphics
Except the menu... That menu is way to simple in a bad way
Here's what i want to see:
-7" oled screen (we have one on the switch oled so it doesn't make sense to remove it)
-a more exiting menu like the Wii u or 3ds's
-easily removable joy sticks for when you encounter drift (everyone wants hall effect ones but there has NEVER EVER been a 1st party controller with those before so no)
-small grips like the ones form the Wii u gamepad to make it more comfortable to hold
-a virtual console like with the Wii, Wii u, 3ds had
-and possibly analogue triggers
the dreamcast controller had a hall effect stick.
@@Yackass idk that
@@RTZ205 doesn't matter if you know it. That's what's true.
they are probably going to pull out a foldable two screen switch like they did for the dsi that no one asked for
I definitely hope they upgrade from the little sticks on the current joycons to something bigger. I think the only excuse to use little switch joysticks on any device is if it fits in my pocket.
We raised the bar so high only to disappoint ourselves 😂
Honestly , i dont think there wil be a Switch 2 , i just think there will be a vr headset to go along with the switch (and possibly work with it) or another line up of the ds. it could also be a home console to go along with the switch , meaning nintendo can go back to powerful consoles while keeping there hybrid console in stock.
Let's make the controller as non gimmick as possible. Just a comfortable grip with console style analogs.
First of all, for it not to be named Nintendo Switch 2
I hope the new controllers won't be as bad.
No drift, that’s what we want
1080p mobile...Steam Deck and Ally aren't even keeping up with that.
Dual screens portable. And you dock the top screen so you get a gamepad. So a ds Wii U hybrid console
There's no way they make the controllers smaller, If they make the controllers any smaller only kids will be able to use it
They are not switch 2 designs floating about because these are concepts
What i want is to have the new controllers to not drift so easily
I want a regular home console again
Teenage engineering switch would only work if it was a teenage engineering PC handheld
Out of all of those, the one that has Super Mario Odyssey on the screen is the best. But I wouldn’t mind if the Switch 2 is like the Steam Deck because I have never detached the Joy-cons and handed one to someone else and i use a Pro controller when play in table top mode
never put your standards down just for nintendo! they need to step up in terms of power!
I just want good joycons and better online. Console power is okay but I want the other two things.
nintendo never said it was a switch two💀💀💀 they just said another console
“Nintendo Switch Successor”
Bruh 4k grapics undoced is asking to be disappointed
Actual grip on the joy cons?
A dPad joycon, more than black and white themes and a faster loading eShop!
I hope that in the future the switch is modable
They should just port the Wii U menu in the switch 2.
These concept artists are NOT cooking🤮
All I want is a better/smaller handheld system with backward compatibility with the switch
Xbox series and ps5 are not even 4k 60fps, no way the switch 2 will be. Also ive been on the steam deck for 2 years now and i dont think 1080 in portable mode isnt needed. 60-90hz on the go would be great.
they gotta bring back the ds design lowkey
They should make a home console instead ngl
I mean tons of lighter games can take advantage of a higher refresh rate and resolution. Hopefully we can get a $300 base model and a much more premium model. Today's market is too big for one size fits all, but everyone in Kyoto lives in an Ivory tower.
lets be real, the switch will look exacly the same, maybe a small size difference. only thing thatll chance is the hardware
I want something like the Wii U mixed with the 3DS
I think, the d pad definitely gets a face lift
Make it comfortable in my hands by default. My pinkies actually go numb while I use my switch in handheld mode.
Nintendo realize that a massive amount of your fan base are western adults. Japanese people and Asians in general have small hands I understand, but think outside of your Asian box huh?
