It’s nice the antique place doesn’t have the knives under lock and key. We have a huge antique place near us but every vendor locks up their knives which makes it tough to see them.

The old couple was amazing too. My neighbor is 105 years old and her daughter that takes care of her is 86 years old. Remarkable! 😊

There was a very nice example of a type 32 Japanese Calvary sword at about the 7 minute mark. For sure a neat piece of ww2 history. Awesome video as always!

I don’t know how you do it, but you keep the excellent videos coming. My mother used to send me to the henhouse to get eggs. I was little, and hated when they pecked me. It was only a little pinch😆

Very nice! I just picked up one of those yellow handled Imperial Fishing Toothpick knives for $10 and an old Hammer Brand mini single blade toothpick knives for $5 at an antique store we went to a couple weeks ago.

One thing that makes me mad is picking up an old knife and seeing how messed up the edge is that big chief was definitely sharpening on a bench grinder seeing those scratch marks

Depends if they’re broken or not. If broken I like replacing them with a nice wood handle scale.

I'm looking at getting an old German made Bowie with black and red spacers at each end of a stag handle. Made between '48 and '68. Any tips on recognizing if the spacers are celluloid. Thanks again.

I'm in the PNW and haven't found a good used knife deal in many years now.

I grew up on a farm in East Texas. horses, calves, ducks, chickens, rabbits, 4F, FFA, it was a great life. then dad got a job at a plant down on the coast, and my life went to crap.
When I watch guys like you living the way I wish I could, I kind of feel ok, like I can live vicariously through your videos. I may not have what I want, but I do have what I need, I guess.
