My nephew sent me a Rambo knife that was a copy of the Lile. He was so thrilled to give it to me, I did my best to match his emotion. My wife wanted to know what I was going to do with it? I'm going to keep it safely stored and pray that it never has to be put to any use!
I just got me one of those Kutmaster with “Cat” on the handle from eBay! I’m going to try my skills at replacing the wood with one of my exotic hardwoods👍
Man i sure wish the pawn shops looked like that around me. Excellent selection of knives brother. Great video. You may just learn a little something more about rigid knives real soon buddy. 😉👍👍 God bless and have a fantastic day.
Good morning doc, I commend you on your discipline. I know you liked that Rambo knife I did too but I probably would have given in. Prayers for your friend 🙏
I use to set up as a vender and go out looking for car parts and old what they call auto mobilia. With a buddy that had a corvette interest, while I was interested in everything else… so it was hands off for me for Corvettes. It worked out pretty good . While one would think his was a limited collection … before I sold most of my car stuff ; saying he had 10 times as much would be pre-accurate.. plus the 3 ‘hobby cars he has’ . As we get older … (I’m turnin 67 soon ). I am more selective on what I buy … turning down great deals .. If it’s not a user that I need … it’s gonna have to be a killer deal or something. I really really love.( not just like.). But I don’t think I would pass up a $500 knife for $20. Not knowing what knives are worth… I’m sure I passed up on a lot of good deals not knowing enough about what they all were worth. ( I had blinders on) .. the amount that I have learned in past year ,, well the old saying I wish I knew then , what I knew now.. thanks for the great education Kevin keep it coming… and I’m also talking. It’s not so much the dollar wise , it’s finding a diamond in the rough a good quality knife that is underappreciated.
Thank you sir for sharing this!! I above finding a rusty old knife, looking up the history and then turning it into something Beautiful again! God Bless! Thanks for watching!
Those benchmades did appear to be genuine, the first one was a pika it was part of their red series, they were a more affordable imported line. That brown flipper looked to be real as well, a model 300.
Leaky cars in that area, judging from the parking lot. 1:30. I love watching these videos. And the restorations are awesome too. No need for tv anymore- I'd rather watch content from real people.
Doc watch buying those benchmade only buy from reputable dealer… they are so counterfeited now a days and the one you opened I don’t like the size of the Circled R next to the bench made emblem also don’t like how the paint is coming off the pocket clip
I have about 300 vintage knives all for sale if you're interested let me know? They are all made in the USA, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Finland, etc etc
I'm not saying it is but the Gerber Strongarm could possibly be fake. Only reason I say so is because I don't think that was the right sheath unless Gerber is making them like that now or with that option of sheath, and also the Strongarm is being faked/cloned because its one of Gerber's best selling knives currently and the last few years.
@@theknifedoctorthe first benchmade was fine. Not sure on the second. They originally attempted to throw an oval in the blade sometimes. The pocket clip is old as well, Spyderco basically “paints” their black ones so it will scrape off.
That gerber strongarm, the fixed blade, was a pretty good deal. That isnt the normal sheath (i think). The one that came with it was plasic. Definitely not leather like the one u got with it.
I have a couple of old case knives that belonged to my great grandfather. Got an email? I’ll share photos of them. I’d like some information on them. Thanks
9 mm primer fits most missing shields!
That’s awesome.
Love Your Knife Hunting Videos and Thanks for the tip.
Thank you!

Always great to have a good friend that likes the same hobby. Friends like Glen are a blessing. Praying for his health.
Thanks so much for the prayers
I just love these videos lol. Just started collecting Case knives recently and found your channel. Now I can’t stop watching these 🤙🏼
Awesomeness!! Welcome Aboard! Thanks for watching!
Get that first one. Good knife.
Nothing kills a buying mood for me like finding a persons name engraved on a custom knife.
Ain't nothing better after a long day at work to come home to see the knife Doc uploaded a new video
Thanks for watching
The lile knife is sweet
Thank you!!
That Lile was very interesting. Wish I knew more about them.
Jimmy Lile is a famous custom knife maker.
@@shoresharp8349 Yes, however I believe its similar to Loveless where the knives are still being produced by a different maker.
Me too!

Good grab on those knives. Looking forward to Part 2.

Great knife hunt as always. Look like u found a honey hole lol. I’ll be praying for Glen as well sir. God Bless
Your friend Glen’s Boker’ knife is likely a 1950’s/early 60’s. Happy hunting
Cold be…we will never know.
There's nothing better then going to pawn shops and flea markets to find great deals. Really liking this channel. My favorite is German eye knives.
Thank you! I love the Hunt!
Awesome! And that looks like a nice buck knife at 11:30
Hey doc, one day you should treat us to, "do you have any vacuums, any stick vacuums?"
Don’t have a clue what you’re talking about.
@theknifedoctor 🤣 instead of saying have you got any knives, pocket knives.. do a gag 🤪
Just when I thought you found the honey hole the video ended 😢I'll be watching tomorrow. Be safe and GOD BLESS AMERICA 🇺🇸 🙏
LOL! Thanks Howard!
Cliff hanger! 😮
15:42 that gerber strong arm is a steal
I thought so too! Wrong sheath, but still a great price!
Great video Kevin! The Benchmade you picked up was real, but it was a “red class” benchmade. Taiwan made. Budget made. Pika is the model I wanna say
Great video cool kutmaster never saw one like that very cool. Sending prayers for Glenn

That's not a fake benchmade it's from the early 2000,s they were doing a Taiwan line. It's the benchmade pika I had that same knife doc
You mean the faded stamp with 300 i on it ,t’s fake
Benchmade has U.S.A. Not USA
Good morning doc, I commend you on your discipline. I know you liked that Rambo knife I did too but I probably would have given in. Prayers for your friend 🙏

The 9mm for The shield is a good idea but could have at least used a good brand so it looked cooler
ammo has been hard to find,. we are probably sending most of it overseas.?
I'm pretty sure the SAG multi tool is made in Taiwan but I love them
It seemed well made.

That benchmade was known as the red class, came from china and taiwan for everyday stores. They stopped making them there tho.
🤠👍
Hey Kevin. Is Glenn doing better? He seems good.
He felt good yesterday. About to do more treatments. So please Pray!
@@theknifedoctor I will for sure.
How much was the Rambo knife?
It wasn’t for sale.
Gotta love it when it says “handmade” and when you flip it over it says China 🤦♂️.

Yes sir! You are correct! I don’t buy spyderco or Benchmade from Pawn Shops unless the box comes with them and they’re a known dealer.
That first Taiwan Benchmade was fake and asking $100 plus is a straight up rip off. They sale those online for $12 🤦♂️.

It’s not the right sheath. It was just stuck in there. The knife is real.
The Benchmade is real. There’s no way to ‘dye into the metal’ or whatever you were trying to say.
Yes there is.
Plus it didn’t even say USA
It's a pity those 3 Remington were China made as they were nice looking knives.
I know. I was gonna buy them.
Those aren't fake benchmades actually I'd be more worried about that gerber bro temu is selling that exact knife for 15 bucks
I’ve always been told if the pocket clip looks painted it’s fake. I just don’t know enough to buy a bench made or a Spyderco from a pawn shop.
@@theknifedoctorcould be a custom pocket clip. People will put custom deep carry pocket clips on them.
I'm pretty sure that bench made with the hole in the blade is made in china. And the other bench made doesn't look right.
I agree
