Thank goodness iwata fixed this problem. I had an ls400 & ws400 . Got banding in clearcoat with ls400. Never saw anything like that. Then the WS400 was impossible to adjust for me. I went back to a 5000
I have never sprayed with this large of fan but I think I'm gonna try it.
Can't lie , I'm struggling to control Mottling with PPG DBC & my series 1 WS400s..... Still resorting to my Sata 5000s & 5500 for certain metallics....

Hi Andrew, so on the system in use you blend at the clearcoat stage, not when applying basecoat. Just a simple reversal. The Kiwami 4 is not supplied in Europe. We would suggest choosing the W-400 range, with this the Anest Iwata sales branch in your area will be able to provide assistance and support if needed. Thanks!
Hello I want to get a WS 400 series 2 split nozzle. I can't buy 2 separate guns , one for base and one for clear. Do you sell a cap and needle for each application to work in the same gun?

What set up are you using with this base coat gun?

Have both clear and base in series 2..still pinching with full fan..and yes i do make sure the split nozzles are aligned
Have you checked the pressure? Correct set-up for the material you are spraying? TDS Sheets?

Also having the Split Nozzle aligned helps with tolerance and consistency. It will not completely change spraying characteristics as some people say 🙂

Was you Spraying Water Base or Solvent Base in this Video? I spray mostly Solvent and wanted to see if it great for Solvent?
In this video, we are spraying waterborne. We typically recommend LS-400 for solvent base coats. We have a video explaining LS-400 Series 2 on our channel 👍
what ratio basecoat do you use and what ratio clear coat do you use?
Hi Zolid Tech HD, In all of our videos, both basecoats and clearcoat's are mixed by weight/scales!
How does the LS400 compare to the WS400 base?
The characteristics of both guns will feel similar, however, where they differ is in atomization and droplet size. Both LS-400 and WS-400 BASE serve different purposes, LS-400 is HVLP and WS-400 BASE is compliant. @@AnestIwataRefinish I am not happy at all with your decision making regarding your new line of supernovas. What did we Americans do wrong exactly? You are going so far as to PROHIBIT UK distributers from mailing units to American Customers?? That is outrageous. I suggest you rethink that decision because I and many others will change brands before we allow a manufacturer to dictate to US what we can and cannot have.
I have ls400 1.3 series 2 where is the difference between ws400 for base?
There is a big difference.
LS-400 is HVLP so naturally has a slightly larger droplet and is used at a lower pressure.
WS-400 Base is compliant, has finer atomisation and a smaller droplet and is used at a slightly higher pressure.

What is OBS ?
OBS stands for optimised base coat settings.
WS-400 Base (blue air cap), has different configurations for different brands of paint. WS-400 is predominantly used for one-visit base coat applications/ wet on wet! Thanks Anest Iwata Refinish.

Just another excuse to sell a spray I'd be surprise if the make a gun that adjustment itself to temperature, paint type an f distance and air pressure for best atomization performance and results that's a gun worth having!!!!
