There was one time ive been using the laptop and people were coming by my room and when i played a video they were all like "wow, from where this sound came from". But make sure that in the sounds settings its set to "Dolby Atmos" or "Windows Sonic" and not to "off" as its make a difference. Im wondering how the sound is comparing to the Asus Zephyrus series, it is better? Screen - phenomenal! Battery - i dont care about it as im keeping it plugged anyway. I think this laptop doesnt have enough publicity and people are truly missing out. Also you forgot to mention that the laptop has a fingerprint scanner for log in + facial recognition, most of these legions doesnt have it :) and its super useful, i could never go back to typing passwords again, haha. I bought the 2023 of this laptop from you and love it. I agree that the keyboard is just the best. It is an awesome laptop. The only downside IMHO is the battery life is dismal, even with the H cpu on the 2023, as well the 'quiet' mode kills performance too much compared to the much better quiet mode on the legions. Other than that this is a real sleeper.
Now I need to decide between the Gen4 and the Legion 5 Pro (AMD9, I think that is the one you have, too) for photography and video editing .. I don't really care about metal, but I need it to be mobil and, so I think I need the one which works better with the lighter charger (140w) because the 300w is too heavy with 1kg =/. Is the think book noticeably lighter? Aland: Are the speaker better than the legion ones?
Nice! I have the 2023 version also thanks to your review! What are your thoughts on performance? I think they might be the same. Mine has the 13900h + 4060. As far as i can see from your video on the 2023 version it had more pipes for cooling than the 2024 version, probably just as many as the legion. So the 2023 version maybe has better cooling, but the 2024 version has a more powerful cpu. I like how now there are 3 usb a ports and not 2. I like that they are on the side and not in the back. I like how there are two 2280 ssd slots instead of one being 2240.
@@TechGuyBeau Can you tell the difference in noise level between H and HX versions in simple tasks (like browsing)? In general, between the two models which one would you prefer?
How does this Thinkbook 16p G5 compare to the Yoga Pro 9i? Both of this laptops are in the same size/weight category but with different CPU and the biggest difference is the screen. Any thoughts?

hey which laptop would you recommend this one, legion pro 5i with i7 rtx 4070 16gb ram 2k 100%DCI-P3 display or legion slim 5 gen 9 ryzen 7 rtx 4070 32gb ram 2k 100%sRGB display both are 240hz. I am confused beacuse there’s a talk going on about intel’s 13-14 gen processors being faulty so thought about the amd model but the screen in inferior and because it is slim i am worried about it getting too hot which one should I choose????
The desktop processors are faulty but not the mobile processors because after the CPU and GPU gets soldered on the motherboard, the manufacturer runs it through another quality control check to ensure they are working at their specifications. The desktop processors will go through the same process if you buy a pre-built computer. If you build it yourself, that's where you will run into problems if you get a faulty processor. Between the two laptops, pick the Intel if you want the best color accurate screen or pick AMD if you want more ram without having to upgrade the ram yourself. Intel thermal throttles their processor at around 95C while AMD thermal throttles at 100C. Both have pros and cons. Since they're both gaming laptops, the heatsink can withstand very high temperatures even at 100C. When the temperature exceeds the limit, it will reduce power to the CPU and GPU to lower temperatures and performance to prevent itself from a sudden shutdown. This is why non-gaming laptops often shutdown when they overheat, since the heatsink is very weak.
@@nikhilrmahi I would choose Intel for that better screen because buying a better screen is like $300-$500 directly from Lenovo while upgrading ram is cheap. I would choose AMD if I needed better battery life.
