Not bad for God Eater 3 but not what you would have expected. Tbh since Code: Vein released and it's connection to this series. I think they should create a new series where they combine Code:Vein and God Eater to finally create some sort of link to it. since there are tons of sh1t happening all around the world. They could call it Code : God Eater.
The main difference here is that the player as well as his/her friends became more like Aragami thus making them stronger and thus confusing the Aragami on why you are attacking them when your a small Aragami

This is a great review. I'm angry it took me as long as it did to discover it, as well as your channel, because you've made so many good points about the story that I can't help but nod in agreement for. ESPECIALLY the part about Lulu being best girl.
Honestly, I'm still an Alisa fan through and through. Especially how she has grown since GE1 to GE2. Didn't have strong feelings for anyone in GE3, probably because I didn't get to know any of them as well, but I enjoyed the cast generally.
This was me with Avian Arm. Had to go to Reddit to find out exactly why no online material list would tell me why no Chi-You would drop one for me lmfao
I forgot the to add: The optional (Who are we kidding you're gonna pick anyway.) The badass super monster killer waifu now with jiggle physics and mama bear power.
I think the whole idea of "More Aragami than human" had some potential, tbh. I mean, 2 Armlets is a big deal. Imagine an AGE gets Lindow'd. That's double the Aragami coming out. It diiidn't really work out, though. But I did like how in the beginning you actually had to walk around with handcuffs on in the safe area, so there's no disconnect between what the player sees and what they play. I think my one gripe with GE3 is it didn't do enough with the fact it wasn't constrained to the PSP anymore. It could have easily taken a page out of MHWs book and made things a lot more open and a lot less linear. Idk maybe that's just me.
I don't know if this is known news or not, but for those who don't know every God Eater protagonist has a canonical name as well as the canonical gender (GE1 being male and named Yuu Kannagi, Excluding Lenka Utsugi who the Main Character of the Anime adaptation, GE2 being male and named Hiro Kamui), but God Eater 3 from I understand us unique and can be canonically either male or female with the canon name being Luca Pennywort. It been a while though since I last touched God Eater 3 wo new info might've been found so keep an eye on that and take what i said with a grain of salt
its funny, i found phem to be an annoying character throughout my play through. Then I'm not even half way through her goodbye letter and I am fully invested in raining hellfire down on the battlefield to get her back with all the force of a speed runner on crack... cinnamon rolls are scary creatures O_O
As somebody who played GE3 before GE2RB/GER, I only really figured out something was off with Ein when I saw his ally page. I definitely wasn't expecting him to be a major player in the first game (and the second, apparently. I haven't played that yet, though). Then I loaded up GER for the first time, and the similarity made me feel dumb even though I had an excuse for being so clueless.
Just as a note, you can apply the + in Resurrection and Rage Burst without applying the abilities, if you click "Do not install" at the bottom it gets the + but not any of the skills.
People got way too used to how overpowered abandoned god arcs were in 2, since they were ported in that same state into GER to combine with the also overpowered predator styles. Some of the nerfs in 3 were quite heavy-handed, but it's honestly for the better to focus most of the player's progression on the actual equipment instead of making weapons just a vehicle for mashing a dozen overtuned level 10 skills.
I guess so. It's just jarring when you're used to it in Res and 2RB, which is probably how the vast majority of new players will experience the games since that's what's readily available
@@hyperlance8732 at difficulty 4 skills aren't terribly crucial just yet. You're usually going to collect lots of abandoned arcs just by playing missions and farming other things anyway.
Sadly, the explanation for why AGEs are treated like ass is in an online japanese-language story in the GE official fan club. I google translated it so I was able to know the big picture.
Character novels right? Just found out about that myself. Really wish something like that was just in the game from the get go, or at least included in one of the patches. [spoilers] As it is now, the way AGEs are treated feels kinda forced. Would've been nice if they'd mentioned early AGEs going rouge on that one mission and Werner having to turn himself into one to put them down. Apparently that's when ports started locking them in cells and giving them armlet-cuffs. Plus the whole situation on P73 killing Soma's mom and causing Rachel to go crazy were likely public knowledge at that point. Kinda makes sense people wouldn't take too kindly to that since that's the same bias factor the AGEs now use.
45:53 The canon currency is Fenrir Credits - a currency established by the Fenrir organization to pay for requisitions by its God Eaters. As Gleipnir is essentially Fenrir's direct descendent, and most of the Ports in the region are subject to Gleipnir's authority, the Fenrir Credit remains in use and is the standard currency of the setting, despite Fenrir itself being long gone. 1:19:00 A lot of people forget that you can convert Aragami CNEs of various rarities into Aragami parts (including the rare ones - although you have to have logged quite a few kills on that Aragami before the option unlocks), as well as convert higher-rarity Ash Aragami and Adaptive Ash Aragami parts into lower-rarity ones if you need to. Drops also work a lot more like Monster Hunter, with specific items coming from specific part breaks. Want a Ra Furnace? Break his lower body. Breaking his arms gets you Pipes or Feathers. The drop rates *do* absolutely suck, especially when you're farming Adaptive Ash Aragami and and thus there's like tons of different tiers of parts obtained from one critter, plus recipes you need to earn to boot, but they're not quite as bad as what you make it out to be. At least for me, it was as easy as say, Monster Hunter Rise, and far easier than Generations Ultimate.
Canonically, after Fenrir became the de-facto global government, their internal corporate credit system became the global currency. Fenrir Credits, or FC have been the in-game currency since God Eater. I think it's safe to assume this is roughly structured like Yen since we never see any decimal places. Simple way to calculate a rough conversion to US dollars is to just cut off the last two numbers as cents. Not an exact exchange rate, but 100 yen has been roughly between $0.90 and $1.15 for years now, so it's a safe assumption, I think. This would make their pay somewhere around $20,000,000 (20 mil). Edit: fixing a typo or two.
I just started this game and your videos are by far the most entertaining and best I've seen so far! Subscribed! It's hard to believe you don't have more
Holy shit I want the _"Heavy Moon"_ God Arc, cool shit. In other news, I just now realized I have *God Eater 3* in my Steam library alongside *God Eater Ressurection* my dudes... So I know what I'mma be playin' for a bit.
Bro you are a fk legend, i prolly watch this video 5 times and narration is incredible and some of the jokes are pretty funny. Hope for a new GE game is still here but dam is been so long. I wish to see Soma reunite with the 1st and maybe idk in a last game were we could port the saves from the previous and see our characters fight together to save the world one last time.
Strangely enough, I prefer non elemental loadout. Long blade, tower shield, and shotguns, and for some reason, I actually finished the whole game, from main plot, another devil to traversing past using non elemental weapons. My favorite skills listed below. Blade: Follow-up (lvl 10 max) 11th hour (lvl 10 max) Gun: Oracle (lvl 10 max) (for impulse edge BA) Health (lvl 10 max) (I'm no JG, sorry) Shield: Stamina (lvl 10 max) Endurance (lvl 5) (I feel safe with 12 endurance) Calm breather (lvl 5 max) Also, just to simply summarize how I identify everyone in GE3: The OP silent MC *(your character/luca pennyworth)* The childhood bff/brother figure *(Hugo)* The waifu that kinda looks like Sabre from Fate *(Claire)* The other waifu that kinda looks like Hancock from One Piece *(Lulu)* The cinnamon roll that kinda looks like a little girl version of Soma *(Phym)* The goofball *(Zeke)* The Oddball *(Keith)* The Lone Wolf *(Neal)* The comedian *(Ricardo)* The sweetheart operator *(Amy)* The mommy Commander *(Hilda)* That ONE guy who's old enough to be MC's dad *(Ein/totally not Soma)*
you know if we see a god eater 4 I want us to return to the god eater 1 cast like we are playing the protag from that once more and maybe we are recruiting a lot of the cast from 1 and 3. Maybe the protag is going through new growth that makes them something more akin to the Aragmi much like lindow went through but its on a far deeper level. I think it be a neat idea, plus it be nice to see what is fucking happening to cradle For DLC we could have the code vein cast come in to help connect the two games,
Something I only just thought of upon reaching the scene where we see our character as a kid before becoming an AGE; how exactly did they survive? They weren't an AGE yet, but they seemed to be near-immune to the Ashblight. Is it just something unique about them, or is the GE3 Protag themselves a Humanoid Aragami?
I know I'm late to this, but it's basically they inject the cells first then the bias factor into you. If you live congrats you're a slave. If you die oopsies. I think it's similar to God Eater aptitude tests but I've never played the first two unfortunately
I have to say that GE2 is my second favorite game of all time (after Final Fantasy X) but GE3 is probably the best entry in the series Also "All I know" is my favorite song in the God Eater Franchise
Oh you know I had Vietnam flashbacks when ash aragami got brought up and mentioned that they devour attacks. It cannot be understated how devastating these attacks are. One thing to note of GE3 is that you have significantly less companions to take with you, but they have way more options than any other teammate you can bring. But the thing was that GE2RB has your allies picking up unique abilities and makes them more specialized, the cast is larger giving you more options, and lastly, you have all versions of every character so you have ridiculous amounts of options. While in GE3, you get less than 10 allies to choose from. Like I said--they are more customizable, just less options in general though.😊
Actually in GE 1&2 you could install an abandoned GA with a bonus and get the increased base stats W/O having to install the skill the same way you do in GE3. I did it all the time when I wanted to boost my weapons and I didn't like the skill.
Idk if anyone still plays this but I smell shenanigans with the drop rates. Every aragami in the endgame has their own 3% drop but there were a few times, just going through my first run of the Rank 7 missions, that I'd get those 3% drops first try. Sometimes it'd be a mission with 2 larger aragami and I'd get both of them. There were a few that I'd need to grind out for but I never had to do the mission more than, say, 5 times at worst. Were there secret tweaks or is RNG-sus just smiling on me?
RNG might've just been smiling on you, or frowning on me, idk. It could also be that I spent a lot of the post game fighting the ashwroughts, which had horrendous rates iirc.
@@weaponsci It was so prolific that I was starting to think "hey kid, first one's on us" was an actual game mechanic. Anyway I got the game a couple weeks ago and it's too bad it seems I'm late to the party. I'm loving it and your videos are a great rant that I need since I'm still excited about this franchise. So good job!
I've played this game for a long time and this is what I've discovered: 1. Just guard is super easy due to the 60fps....but on 30 fps,it's a bit difficult 2. They introduced the ray gun. In a nutshell,it's even more broken. 3. The Ashbourne are all easy aragami's, excluding it's burst mode. 4. The scythe has the most broken burst art in the game, where it passes through armours to deal impactful damage. 5. The fastest weapon to traverse in the game is the short blade due to its dual mid air dive 6. Your character is John Wick
the apply + bonus was present in both resurrection and rage burst. i been binging the god eater series and been making my way up to 3. i wonder if they added it sometime after 3 had released....🤔
Interesting. I guess I never realized until 3. Nah 3 is the newest, I haven't heard anything about a new game yet. Though they say Code Vein takes place in the same world as GE.
it'd be so funny if after all this stuff it's revealed in god eater 4 that Ain and Soma are in fact NOT the same person and he just happens to have a lot in common with him
you gave the hammer a cold shoulder on ge2? well me too until i found out that once an aragami is cnocked down the hammer can stunlock it to death if you can hit the right spot, life mistake
Are you familiar about Certification Missions on God Eater 3? As I progresses, the difficulty of the following aragami as it progresses, there is a chance that it will one shot you whether ashborn or not.
tbf, AGEs do actually use the most primitive (and by extension the most intensively mutagenic) bias factor in their creation, practically as dangerous as what was put into Soma. So on a biological level they arguably are the most aragami-like of all god eater variants, above even Blood units. They're physically stronger too, far more pronounced than the normal strength advantage other god eaters have over untreated humans. But considering that this franchise treats even humanoid aragami as people perfectly deserving of rights, of course that doesn't mean AGEs deserve the treatment they get. Not in the slightest. But they _are_ technically speaking less "human" than 1st and 2nd gens. Though by any stretch normal god eaters aren't quite human anymore either, their children even often have bias factor from birth.
When I first uploaded this, other people helped provide some additional context on that. A big factor was that a lot of the technology and research that Fenrir was utilizing wasn't public knowledge during 1 and 2. All God Eaters have a bias factor, which are basically special oracle cells that keep their own weapons from turning on them. The God Arcs are basically mini aragami since they also contain oracle cells. Soma and [redacted] had the P73 bias factor placed into them, which was basically the closest you could get to injecting a literal aragami into someone. (I forgot what point in the story mission 60 is, so I'm omitting the second name in case you're not there yet.) P73 while powerful, was very unstable. It technically worked for Soma but killed his mom when she gave birth to him, and it caused [redacted] to go crazy. All other God Eaters after that- excluding the Blood Unit and the AGEs in 3- use the P55, which is less powerful but safer. I think Blood's is a middle ground. I forgot what number it was but it's stronger than 55 and weaker than 73. The AGEs, however, use the P73, this was mostly done out of desperation since things had gotten considerably worse by the time 3 begins. This does make them stronger, but since the previous incidents regarding the P73 had become publicly known, the disdain for it also began to grow. The risk that came with it also remained unchanged, and lots of would-be AGEs would mutate during compatability testing at a far higher rate than the other variants. I really think the whole "we've got discrimination now" part of GE3 was a bit rushed, looking back. Anyway, put simply, the God Eaters in 3 are slaves because society is scared of them due to being injected with a bias factor that was known to cause lots of problems in the past. It wasn't an issue in the other two because Fenrir was hush-hush about their research and the public only saw the best results so things looked good to them.
Call me crazy. But I feel like a lot of people didn't caught what was really going on with Claire's traversing episode. I've connected some dots, but I surely hope I end up being wrong with my conclusion. This isn't about the Victorious family controversy, fyi, but the part where Claire blames herself for her father's death. That death was because her father, Randall Victorious pretty much disowned her older brother for doing something he said it was something unforgivable, Randall's words not mine, and that the it was never elaborated further in the story. But perhaps for good reason and for the sake of the game? Think about it for a moment. What did Edric Victorious do that it was deemed 'unforgiveable' that his own father disowned him, exiled him and was alarmingly worried when he found out that Claire met up with her brother, Edric? I sure hope this is just a hunch, but my speculation slash conclusion was that what Claire's brother did was definitely something far worse than murdering somebody (like murdering his father later on). But something foul and disgusting, at least that's my take on the reason why Claire was forbidden to see her brother again. Which will later result to the death of her father, Randall Victorious. Allow me to elaborate. If you look around your surroundings during the final mission on Claire's traversing episode. Within Claire's deep resonance area, you'll see projected images of Claire's memories. One of them, is a projected image of Claire as a little kid, standing before a young man, who appeared to be sat down with his head lowered, and a bottle of what you may assume as alcohol. Still don't get what I'm trying to say? Just take a moment, and let that image sink in. A man, probably intoxicated, accompanied by a little girl. Want some red flag? There was a dialogue from Claire's brother at the very first mission of her traversing episode, that just seemed off putting. Almost sounded something like an intoxicated person would say. This is a dark conclusion, if you finally get what I'm implying with my elaboration, but I sure hope I end up being wrong and that I just overthink and misinterpret the situation on Claire's traversing episode.
I kinda see it yeah. It would have to be something worse than just killing someone for her dad to react the way he did. And if it went the direction I'm suspecting, it's possible Claire could've repressed those particular unpleasant memories as she was young,
I should really give this one another try. I liked it well enough but when Monster Hunter Rise dropped (which I still play regularity these days) GE3 went waaaaaaay to the back of my game collection.
I actually own MH Rise I'm just trying to unlock all the post game monsters from World first. Which mean I gotta grind the guiding lands to get that MR100 so I can fight Ruiner Nergigante again lol
@@weaponsci I got World but never got into it (Drives my buddy crazy lol). GE 3 while I wasn’t hardcore with it was kind of an intro drug for me because I was looking for fun games on the Switch. GE being a lot more newb friendly let me dip my toes into the Hunter genre which let me dive right into the deep end when Rise came out. So I do give it credit to best, I got over a thousand hours into Rise between the Switch and PC and never would’ve tried it if it weren’t for GE3.
They made Resonance Ops for GE2RB, which they made 4 year into the series and then they made GE3. Could be wrong. Oh and God Eater Resonance Ops is on mobile.
About what is the in-universe money currency, I believe that they are called "Fc" or "Fenrir credits". Whenver you go to the Terminal in any GE game, you see this exact currency being stated as money. We don't really know how much of a value these Fc has since there are no hits of what can you buy IRL with 1 Fc. That being said, my best guess is that Fc are like digital money. I don't think dollars and euros (or really any IRL country's currency) exists in the GE universe because the whole aragami breakthrough in the 2050s caused the whole society and world economics to completely crash during that period of time.
I know its been a year but did u ever have pans for a code vein video like this? You have code vein vids on your channel but nothing like a review. Unless i missed anything..
Honestly I'm cool with blood rage being replaced with accel triggers. A lot of later missions in 2RB were either survival mission gauntlets or packed full with multiple Aragami in a small area. I think this was done intentionally to balance the game for blood rage, and it just ended up making the game needlessly tedious as it came to an end.
I like the game because i'm a fan of the series but even fighting Hannibal or Caligola and all the other aragami feels like you are fighting stupid things. Until you get to the ashborn ofcourse. The music kicks in you, feel pumped, aaaand.. yeah it's dead after a 3 minutes fight minus the time to reach the location or kill the aragami for enabling him to spawn.. Wow. Don't get me wrong, the endgame content it's always cool since you get to fight 2-3 or more of them. But after GER and GE2 it feels like they toned down the overall aragami for no reason. In GER the aragami where so strong that even a Vajra was able to oneshot you if you didn't shield up his lightining attack. Not talking about how much feels good to fight a Dyaus Pita after some training in it!
I think they did that on purpose. GE3 was their first non-handheld game so they probably anticipated newcomers would play it first and nerfed the Aragami accordingly.
I think its more so the fact that combat is so much faster, the aragami are instantly less threatening. Of course ash aragami not included in that. Like, shit, imagine fighting Ra in resurrection without using bullets...
I didn't notice it until much later that GE3 was coded by Marvelous studio and not by Shift nor Bandai Namco. Thus, the GE frenzy combat aspect was toned down unlike the previous games.
i feel sorry for cannon after you help her to her mission so she can improve in ge1 then in ge2 she still miss fire and help her again but still after you her she still missfire 🤣🤣 and send me away.
I picked this game up after playing the studio's other game, Daemon X Machina, and wasn't disappointed. It feels a lot like that game fused with monster hunter and both have to a lot to sink your teeth into in terms of customization and build variety. Good video, good game.
I absolutely love this game but GE3 has a lot of problems... From the gutted Skills making offensive and defensive skills feel worthless, to the gutted NPC system, to the janky controls that desperately needed updating (seriously God Eater, R1 isn't the only button on the controller)... Also, why do I need to hold sprint in order to move around the hub at a bearable speed? Who thought was a good idea?! I REALLY hope we get a God Eater 4 in the future that irons out the kinks, because this series still has serious potential and personally I have no interest in Souls-like games so the Code Vein spinoff did absolutely nothing for me.
Imagine dual wielding. Now imagine wanting to STOP dual wielding. You know a game's implementation of dual wielding is cringe when you can combine the two weapons into one. Hell, cringe isn't strong enough of a term to describe my feelings for it. Disgusting doesn't even cover it. The more I watch this video, the more I think God Eater 1 is the game to try. Better story, better Dual Blades, skills don't suck ass, followers can be ignored...
Honestly, I don't buy that "burst version deterred people from buying the game" Considering Monster Hunter had decades of people buying an "incomplete version" and then buying the "ultimate version" But maybe people will buy stuff because it's brand X Which is what I believe since MH Iceborne sucks dick.
3 may have been good, but it sucks in quite a lot of things The game became like a general fast paced action RPG The NPC party member sucks in comparison to 1 and 2 like their AI just isn't as good Weapons, what the hell have they done, the guns basically became useless the bullet customisation sucks even though it's one of the things that made GE fun even the aragami bullets no longer exists only the burst effect from it Clothing also looks awful, there's only a few that actually looks decent that's not just a reskin of the base one or more tapes Aragami I'll admit is the one thing they did kinda right, but where the hell did the arc arrabants I thought rage burst made it canon they're apart of the aragami ecosystem now even my boi the Orochi and C. Orochi got removed Weapon upgrades, it is nice that's it's kinda easier to upgrade not but the skills is nerfed to hell their max being reduced to half is stupid and a ton of the compound ones got removed also what the hell is the ray gun that's just a piss gun with how pathetic it is. Overall God Eater 3 is extremely bad in comparison to the previous ones, the game is nice to play when you don't want the slow paced 2 and 1 Yes I'm still salty they removed the Blast Gun and my beloved reinforced and Kurogane/Shirogane sets
I am two years late to the party BUT OH BOI this is my fave review of my fave game franchise (not the best, just my fave). Your jokes cracked me up. Best review. Despite the low number on views and subs this video is of equal level of many highup youtubes (and even better than many out there). Editing and commentary chef's kiss. Edit: The Soma jokes. I was weak. The sus on Hugo whether he'd live or nah cause of a certain pattern? (He is like the anime moms with side ponytails who go rip before the show even starts up) I felt Phym comments? I live The clothes. I PAIN (hard oof also finished the game with the base fit)
I wish they'd put 1 and 2 on switch. Although if steam deck supports them that would be just as good too. For the minute if you want to play those on the go you'll need a Vita.
@@weaponsci haha, I still have my old vita and have both resurrection and 2, but I mostly played the first game than the second. The first game's story is my favorite, and my personal god arc build is the Blood Surge, Raging Lore and Asbestine Tower +
One thing I really like about this game is-- hold on, spoilers... ...is how despite Gadolin being kind of the main antagonist, he's absolutely _not happy_ that he had to make the choices he did. When Phym decides to volunteer as Odin's pilot, he was basically like "I'm sorry, little one" and gave her as much time as she could to come to terms with her decision. He didn't just tell her to fuck off and get in the EVA. By the end, Gadolin decides to own up to his atrocities and take responsibility for the horrors he took part in. I 100% bet he and Director Schicksal would be beer buddies if they met.
Your username is sending me lol. But yeah he wasn't really evil. Or rather his "evil" was very realistic. He had hard choices that he knew would hurt innocents regardless and picked what he believed to be the lesser of two evils. Though at least he owned up to it, because s lot of people don't even do that

"The waifu, the other waifu, The mission waifu, the waifu that's in charge of everything and brimming with ara ara energy."
I forgot the to add:
The optional (Who are we kidding you're gonna pick anyway.) The badass super monster killer waifu now with jiggle physics and mama bear power.
So... Basically my character? Lol
@@weaponsci Well anyone who picked female but sure lets go with that. XD
Then I'm not even half way through her goodbye letter and I am fully invested in raining hellfire down on the battlefield to get her back with all the force of a speed runner on crack...
cinnamon rolls are scary creatures O_O
i just finished playing the story. And i found your video, this is an awesome review. I never bored listening to you for 1 1/2 hours
I mainly play monster hunter, and GE3 was my first god eater game. And I loved it! Now I really want to play 1 and 2 to see how they hold up
Opposite. Played GE first and then went to MHW
I played GE PSP as an teen, and finished GE Burst few hours ago, story chapters are so good.
i know it's late to reply but ge 1 and 2 is better than ge3
My favorite weapon in GE3 was the 2 blades that become a glaive.
Im actually playing rage burst 2 rn got any advice for me im at diff 4 rn
@@hyperlance8732 at difficulty 4 skills aren't terribly crucial just yet. You're usually going to collect lots of abandoned arcs just by playing missions and farming other things anyway.
Sadly, the explanation for why AGEs are treated like ass is in an online japanese-language story in the GE official fan club. I google translated it so I was able to know the big picture.
Character novels right? Just found out about that myself. Really wish something like that was just in the game from the get go, or at least included in one of the patches.
[spoilers]
As it is now, the way AGEs are treated feels kinda forced.
"Asharagami is in burst mode!"
My character: *Runs to the other side of the map.*
I see. That's still a lot of candy.
@@weaponsci Absolutely.
I just started this game and your videos are by far the most entertaining and best I've seen so far! Subscribed! It's hard to believe you don't have more
20:29, the apply + bonuses only is also in god eater resurrection, i dont remember whether it was in 2/2RB, but its definitely in R
When Hugo, did that thing with that Blue thing.
NGL I was pretty sweaty too.
Blade:
Follow-up (lvl 10 max)
11th hour (lvl 10 max)
Gun:
Oracle (lvl 10 max) (for impulse edge BA)
Health (lvl 10 max) (I'm no JG, sorry)
Shield:
Stamina (lvl 10 max)
Endurance (lvl 5) (I feel safe with 12 endurance)
Calm breather (lvl 5 max)
Also, just to simply summarize how I identify everyone in GE3:
The OP silent MC *(your character/luca pennyworth)*
The childhood bff/brother figure *(Hugo)*
The waifu that kinda looks like Sabre from Fate *(Claire)*
The other waifu that kinda looks like Hancock from One Piece *(Lulu)*
The cinnamon roll that kinda looks like a little girl version of Soma *(Phym)*
The goofball *(Zeke)*
The Oddball *(Keith)*
The Lone Wolf *(Neal)*
The comedian *(Ricardo)*
The sweetheart operator *(Amy)*
The mommy Commander *(Hilda)*
That ONE guy who's old enough to be MC's dad *(Ein/totally not Soma)*
i live to do just guards
I do just guards to live.
Doing the certification missions level 30+ made me see the importance of JG cause those fellas hit ridiculously hard.
god eater 3 is like bayonetta 3, both are highly rendered, but very confusing.
you know if we see a god eater 4 I want us to return to the god eater 1 cast like we are playing the protag from that once more and maybe we are recruiting a lot of the cast from 1 and 3.
Maybe the protag is going through new growth that makes them something more akin to the Aragmi much like lindow went through but its on a far deeper level. I think it be a neat idea, plus it be nice to see what is fucking happening to cradle
For DLC we could have the code vein cast come in to help connect the two games,
For a Code Vein/God Eater crossover to work there'd probably have to be some time travel involved because I believe CV takes place long before GE1.
Wouldn't surprise me at all tbh. Or you find out Phym has the protagonist's dna or something so you're actually related after all lol.
I know I'm late to this, but it's basically they inject the cells first then the bias factor into you.
If you live congrats you're a slave. If you die oopsies. I think it's similar to God Eater aptitude tests but I've never played the first two unfortunately
How did i manage to sit through this entire vid...
I have to say that GE2 is my second favorite game of all time (after Final Fantasy X) but GE3 is probably the best entry in the series
Also "All I know" is my favorite song in the God Eater Franchise
So from my understanding, the Burst editions in GE is like the G/Ultimate editions in Monster Hunter?
Actually in GE 1&2 you could install an abandoned GA with a bonus and get the increased base stats W/O having to install the skill the same way you do in GE3. I did it all the time when I wanted to boost my weapons and I didn't like the skill.
may i ask why does at 24:52 there is a red line? is that a skill that shows enemy moves? will some pls confirm this?
It's a marker to show where that enemy is going to dash next.
@@weaponsci is it a skill that I have to attach to my character?
I've played this game for a long time and this is what I've discovered:
1. Just guard is super easy due to the 60fps....but on 30 fps,it's a bit difficult
2. They introduced the ray gun. In a nutshell,it's even more broken.
3. The Ashbourne are all easy aragami's, excluding it's burst mode.
4. The scythe has the most broken burst art in the game, where it passes through armours to deal impactful damage.
5. The fastest weapon to traverse in the game is the short blade due to its dual mid air dive
6. Your character is John Wick
Hilda's outfit is extremely professional i must say
I'm really sad that they change the custom bullet system, I really enjoyed 1 and 2 bullets system.
the apply + bonus was present in both resurrection and rage burst. i been binging the god eater series and been making my way up to 3. i wonder if they added it sometime after 3 had released....🤔
Interesting. I guess I never realized until 3.
Nah 3 is the newest, I haven't heard anything about a new game yet. Though they say Code Vein takes place in the same world as GE.
@@weaponsci I've wondered about that. I could've sworn that huge building with the melted hole from God eater was also shown in code vein. 🤔
it'd be so funny if after all this stuff it's revealed in god eater 4 that Ain and Soma are in fact NOT the same person and he just happens to have a lot in common with him
you gave the hammer a cold shoulder on ge2? well me too until i found out that once an aragami is cnocked down the hammer can stunlock it to death if you can hit the right spot, life mistake
Are you familiar about Certification Missions on God Eater 3? As I progresses, the difficulty of the following aragami as it progresses, there is a chance that it will one shot you whether ashborn or not.
Yeah I did a few of them
Amazing review man
Still no expansion.
In hindsight I feel like such a clown saying that now 🤡
I feel like what would be awesome is PVP or at least a battle in the story where u fight another age. It'd be pretty cool imo
And yes Buster Blade got nerfed so much.
you can say that god eater 3 is for beginner friendly, because 1 - 2 is the og
Their OST are miles better too
Dromi haunts my nightmares too
tbf, AGEs do actually use the most primitive (and by extension the most intensively mutagenic) bias factor in their creation, practically as dangerous as what was put into Soma.
Me here a year later tryna look for guides and all, but also, theres a yukata outfit for the female AGEs
Guys i think we should watch for devour attacks
In codd vein your buddy also gets smoked
what do you do when an aragami bites and tries to eat you?!
you eat it back XD
So il you cover Code vein or the app game ? this was great video
I have all 3 games but not ending 1 yet....XD
I might do Code Vein eventually. Don't plan on covering the mobile games though. None of them are in English anyways.
Currently at story 60 in gr2 (psp), how did god eaters became slaves?!
(I forgot what point in the story mission 60 is, so I'm omitting the second name in case you're not there yet.)
P73 while powerful, was very unstable.
@@weaponsci oohhhhhh, thanks for enlighting me, i already figured out whos the other P73 bias, its that psycho
And if it went the direction I'm suspecting, it's possible Claire could've repressed those particular unpleasant memories as she was young,
Dromi is just an edgy pickle... change my mind
He's a frozen pickle.
If Monster Hunter has Picklejho, God Eater now has its Edgy Pickle. Seems legit.
Thank you for the info and i subed
my problem with god eater 3 it felt like god eater 1 redone version....they didn't kill shio 2.0 yet....etc etc....
Fun fact: Code Vein & God Eater exist in the same universe
it's unconfirmed but it sure as hell seems to be the case the secret of the outside world is way too iconic to just be a cheeky reference
I just finished the game, it was long and filled with BS... But Phym's smile made it worth it.
They made Resonance Ops for GE2RB, which they made 4 year into the series and then they made GE3. Could be wrong. Oh and God Eater Resonance Ops is on mobile.
I heard it was shutting down this year. Too bad it never got an English release.
@@weaponsci i agree. I didn't know about it until i read about it online. It would be nice if it was in English.
I can't play the other 2 since it's not available on switch
Aight, after watching this review. I'll buy god eater 3.
Have fun!
@@weaponsci after finishing the game, it leave a deep God eater shape hole in my heart. Hoping for God Eater 4 or rage burst dlc.
I don't think dollars and euros (or really any IRL country's currency) exists in the GE universe because the whole aragami breakthrough in the 2050s caused the whole society and world economics to completely crash during that period of time.
autoguard is pretty busted in this game I can just walk through attacks and my towershield just blocks them for me lmao
Was god Eater 2 peek?
The whole trilogy was tbh.
Claire is still best girl.
If you say so...
Nah lulu
I know its been a year but did u ever have pans for a code vein video like this? You have code vein vids on your channel but nothing like a review. Unless i missed anything..
Won't make any promises, but yes an eventual review is on my mind.
i did not like god eater 3 they nerfed the bloodrage its now tie up to burst. it was the combat feature that i like, shredding through aragami's.
I'm semi-new but maybe they did it to make grinds less painful since there's no more ticket system?
RIP Canon
HEY DO CODE VEIN PLEASE
i feel sorry for cannon after you help her to her mission so she can improve in ge1 then in ge2 she still miss fire and help her again but still after you her she still missfire 🤣🤣 and send me away.
Ignore def scythe is how I played the game😂 found this late
sucks that the saviors of humanity being treated like trash
West Fenrir do be trippin
Somaballs
Imagine dual wielding. Now imagine wanting to STOP dual wielding.
You know a game's implementation of dual wielding is cringe when you can combine the two weapons into one. Hell, cringe isn't strong enough of a term to describe my feelings for it. Disgusting doesn't even cover it.
The more I watch this video, the more I think God Eater 1 is the game to try. Better story, better Dual Blades, skills don't suck ass, followers can be ignored...
It doesn't have dual blades. And while I think you are cringe, I generally advise trying out resurrection. It is based.
Honestly, I don't buy that "burst version deterred people from buying the game"
Considering Monster Hunter had decades of people buying an "incomplete version" and then buying the "ultimate version"
But maybe people will buy stuff because it's brand X
Which is what I believe since MH Iceborne sucks dick.
It did happen. Close to release of 3 people said exactly that.
3 may have been good, but it sucks in quite a lot of things
The game became like a general fast paced action RPG
The NPC party member sucks in comparison to 1 and 2 like their AI just isn't as good
Weapons, what the hell have they done, the guns basically became useless the bullet customisation sucks even though it's one of the things that made GE fun even the aragami bullets no longer exists only the burst effect from it
Clothing also looks awful, there's only a few that actually looks decent that's not just a reskin of the base one or more tapes
Aragami I'll admit is the one thing they did kinda right, but where the hell did the arc arrabants I thought rage burst made it canon they're apart of the aragami ecosystem now even my boi the Orochi and C. Orochi got removed
Weapon upgrades, it is nice that's it's kinda easier to upgrade not but the skills is nerfed to hell their max being reduced to half is stupid and a ton of the compound ones got removed also what the hell is the ray gun that's just a piss gun with how pathetic it is.
Overall God Eater 3 is extremely bad in comparison to the previous ones, the game is nice to play when you don't want the slow paced 2 and 1
Yes I'm still salty they removed the Blast Gun and my beloved reinforced and Kurogane/Shirogane sets
God Eater 3 has the worst story and characters in all the god eater main games.
try play
Plz don’t bring up a masterpiece like kingdom hearts on a game like this that’s like talking about elder scrolls and comparing it to ffxiv
Kingdom Hearts is wild tho, but to each their own
I am two years late to the party BUT OH BOI this is my fave review of my fave game franchise (not the best, just my fave). Your jokes cracked me up. Best review. I bought a Switch this passed Christmas just for the switch port of this game lol
