When has Colin Farrell ever NOT used his Irish accent? My son cracks up, whenever "SWAT" comes on, because there is a locker room scene between him and Jeremy Renner, where Farrell's Irish brogue is so detectable, that my kid says he's expecting him to yell, "They'll send ya back to the shire!" LOL
@@appetizingly The Aladdin remake wasn't bad (in fact, it was surprisingly half-decent), but I mean interesting in the sense that The Gentlemen is an original film and not a shameless cash grab remake.
I saw it three times in the cinema. To me it's the perfect film for a lad's night out and it's honestly one of the best films I've seen in quite a while. I'm shocked that more people aren't talking about it
Darragh Hynes i just watched it today. personally i would rather have a movie from the track suit guy and his boys’ perspective and i was disappointed they only showed their moves once
Just saw The Gentleman, honestly it was one of the best films I’ve seen in a while. I thought it was a funny, intriguing film with great memorable characters and I can’t wait to see it again.
I went into this movie knowing nothing about and left knowing it was one of my absolute favorites of all time. I kept thinking to myself while I was watching it "damn I love this movie". Everyone is incredible in this. It's absolutely hilarious. Even the wardrobe is fantastic.
"no amount of money on God's green earth can amount to somebody putting their hands on my wife" i lost my shit! thought about how much i love my wife. funny thing is, I'm not even married.
This movie was awesome. Funny, fast, loud, offensive. Perfect. I have to see it again. I laughed through so many lines, as did my buddy, that we missed at least 10%. A true must-see.
This video was posted so early in the morning, the night-mode on my phone wore off midway through the video, and Jeremy became so bright and pale I expect him to sparkle in the sunshine.
Charlie Hunnam in the Gentlemen was the best supporting actor ive liked in a really long time. Was fun to see Collin Farrell give another master performance after FantasticBeasts The entire theatre was laughing almost throughout the flick Cant wait to watch it again.
This movie was simply amazing. I laughed so much and enjoyed everything about it. Colin Ferrell was so funny. Matthew and Charlie were spectacular!! I cant wait to see it again!!
I liked the movie where his then wife Madona was slapped around and raped as a political message on class systems...but that's going to upset feminists of 2002.
Guy Ritchie Can Do No Wrong!!! Snatch, Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, RocknRolla, Man from U.N.C.L.E., Sherlock Holmes, King Arthur. All are good time, fun ride, action packed, quick witted smart movies.
@@Farfaramir it had potential. He should have focused more on the Arthur as a poor hustler who grew up in a brothel and rose up to be king instead of have so much fantasy elements.
“Guy Ritchie I’m hoping he’ll capture the magic of snatch”...That’s the movie” lol 😂 I almost fell off the couch 3 seconds into the vid....nice! Snatch is Def his best flick imo
Sherlock Holmes was my favourite Guy Ritchie film! I loved all of the sound effects when the scene slowed down in time with Sherlock’s explanation. It was so cool when I first watched it as I’d never experienced a movie like that before.
It might just be one of my favourite films. I haven’t had that in a long time where I would walk out of the cinema and the film would follow me home. I couldn’t stop thinking about it and I had to watch it twice. Not for clarity, but enjoyment and details. It’s a bit of a high class lock stock and that’s already one of my favourites anyway! And the music!!!
No shit, that was the most entertaining and relevant sponsor message I've ever heard. I hate headphones that drop out of my ears and I HAVE headphones with the annoying wire...also a new years resolution to run more that I may or may not be winning at (ask my wheezing carcass tomorrow).
"play a game with me Raymond"... Great return to form from Guy Ritchie. Now we need a sequel to Rocknrolla.. just get that amazing cast back together already!!
Well guess i know what im watching next. Jeremy your the ONLY movie reviewer i listen too and i thoroughly enjoy watching your reviews. Your videos are short, sweet, and too the point with no bullshit lol. Thank you good sir.
You are one of the most entertaining personalities on TH-cam. I actually get excited when I see you've made a video. It's awesome You also give great, wholesome reviews to movies. You don't speak in a negative tone towards movies you dont necessarily like. You give facts to qualify your statement, and for me, that's pretty rare in a lot of youtubers. Keep doin you Jeremy Jahns. Keep doin you.
I now own a pair of Raycons solely because of you sponsorship plug from this review. By far one the best tech purchases I have made in recent years. I love your channel, and frankly I love you. Keep doing what you're doing brother. You're the best at reviewing movies.
Lock stock and two smoking barrel is still the best Guy Richie flick for me. Just the pooker scene when the song hits in the back " I wanna be your Dogg" is unparalleled.
Put this on and really just expected a run of the mill action flick to fill Quarantine time, but my lord was pleasantly surprised. This shit ended and I was smiling from ear to ear. I don't think I've been this engaged in a movie in years. Didn't touch my phone once.
This and Knives Out made my head hurt as a writer. I can only hope to write lines as good as this film. You can almost hear the whip crack in the background of the conversations. First Guy Ritchie movie for me, and I can definitely say I'm a convert. I found myself involuntarily smiling the whole movie cause it's just so well-done. Can't stress that you should go see this enough.
Kevtuff he stopped at season 3 because season 3 is easily the most bored I’ve ever been during a great show but after that it’s one of the best shows ever made
Collin Farrell talking in his glorious Irish accent was definitely worth the price of admission alone.
Have you seen "In Bruges"?
The scene where he takes on the chavs in the chip shop is hilarious.
Colin farrell is a scene stealing thief in this film and we love him for it
Loved Collin Farrell since his Bullseye era.
Oh! So THIS is why Guy Ritchie did Aladdin, to fund actually interesting movies.
You can't argue that it didn't work. Aladdin made over a billion dollars.
@@MrChaotic4 My point exactly. Whatever pays the bills, I guess...
Except that the vast majority of people really enjoyed Aladdin and it's actually a pretty good film.
@@appetizingly The Aladdin remake wasn't bad (in fact, it was surprisingly half-decent), but I mean interesting in the sense that The Gentlemen is an original film and not a shameless cash grab remake.
@@justinriley Oh, yeah, I can definitely agree with that.
Quote of the movie “it’s not a coincidence. There’s fuckery afoot”
Absolutely loved this movie. Paid to see it twice and don’t regret it
Haven't seen the movie so I read this in Daniel Craig's voice from Knives Out
dude I wanna go see the movie just because of this line now! I love Guy Ritchie movies anyways so
@@sivad1025 same here! 😂
"PrettyFastforafatfucker" - Quote I use far too often that gets me in trouble. No it's not from the gentlemen, but is from THE Guy Ritchie film, imo.
Oh Mcdonald had a farm, EIEIO 😂😂😂
This was one of the only movies that I’ve wanted to go see again immediately. This was one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time
Yes! Definitely has rewatchability
Yes

Lord Teletubby Dipsy :* I don’t think it did. It made 4 times it’s budget.
I love it when brown says “what how much do I lift” “you couldn’t lift a wheel of cheese you c**t” hahaha
Does anyone else absolutely love the Guy Ritchie “Sherlock Holmes”? Or is it just me?
I liked them..first one was better than sequel imo. Id watch a third one though.
A lot of what i liked about them is about robert downey jr and jude law. but yes its a movie I liked
The shots and cuts in Game of Shadows is out of this world!! Guy Ritchie is a beast of film making
They were ok, but I wish Ritchie would have kept going in the same vein as Snatch
Yeah, I did. Never really understood the hate. I never thought they were masterpieces, but they were super fun and the cast was great.
All I’m saying is... “Asian 007. riscense to kir”, is the line of the year
OMG laughed so hard in the theater XD
Lol yeah that made me laugh
Love that line but for me it was "alright phuck calm the phu-ck down"
This movie kicks so much ass I love it
Plenty of Americans know about how great Snatch is, but they never talk about “Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrells”
He said return to form. Both it and Snatch are examples of the form he is referring to.
At least as good as snatch... maybe better
I liked snatch but Lock stock i wasnt a fan of. It had this weird yellowish color palet that i couldn't get over
After all these years, Lock, Stock is still his best film and it is kind of sad actually...
I prefer 'Snatch'. It felt more refined.
The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is a great Guy Ritchie flick. One of my favorites!
Didn't even know that was a damn Guy Ritchie film. What a great f****** flick
That movie never gets talked about but I loved it.
And so is the Sherlock Holmes duology!
@@ThePreciseClimber Yeah! That as well!
Same
"We've lost gorgeous George", still one of the funniest lines from snatch.
"Well where'd you lose him? He aint a set of a fucking car keys is he?" most quotable movie of all time hands down
pHaZe017 "shhhh your gunna av to repeat that."
"In the words of the virgin Mary... Come again?"
"And it's not as if he's incon-f*cking-spicuous now is it"
Tiago Machado I’ve genuinely got this embroidered on a t shirt 😂
Although crime films may be Guy Ritchie's specialty, I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel to his 'The Man From U.N.C.L.E.'.
Couldn't agree more!!!! That movie is criminally underrated.
Peter Frank it’s unlikely though
That movie didn’t work at box office
But it will be really good to see a sequel
U.N.C.L.E II can be a Netflix movie.
Recently rewatched this gem and it holds up. It's developed sort of an underground following.
Now they're all famous so if they did a sequel, people would definitely watch it
"where's he from"
"Posh part of Croydon"
"Drop the rope, there is no posh part of Croydon"
@Jmc Well... it was. Once. 😂
It's comparative, innit?
"His name is Phuc....but its spelled with a PH so it sounds like Phuc"
"Please!"
"Alright Phuc...calm the phuc down"
isn't it... "down"
@@lukewilliam3601 Ahh shit. Good eye
