@@smpdevelopments Lol. Instead of Aaron Taylor Johnson as the main bad guy, having Cruise play a villain in this movie, again. He probably turn it down cause he didn't get to do his own crazy stunts or something like that.
I think what spoiled the whole film was too many slightly over the top performances...Could have been a very good movie if the dialogue and story was taken more seriously..Sadly it isn't a compliment to stunt men eg he's been out for a year with a broken back, walks on set, doesn't prep or check anything, his criticisms and worry brushed aside....It's not great but he's a great watch and she's always good..
This movie kind of sucked, too much meandering with Emily and Ryan's characters, it was insufferable, they were written so poorly on the whole fling romance. A lot of their scenes just dragged on and the movie is a mess because of it. Metal Storm is cool though, and I liked the love letter tribute feel for all the stunt people out there. This movie however is not really good.
I loved that the movie knew fall well what it was and didn’t try to be anything other than that, simple plot, amazing action scenes. Ryan is hilarious and I hope they cast him in more action comedies.
There's a video where someone's watching Ryan Gosling movies and offers a spoonful of cereal to TV screen just as Ryan's character dramatically turns away, like he refused to eat it.
The theaters I go to have been showing a behind the scenes scene about a stunt done in the movie that set a world record. The record is for most barrel rolls in a vehicle. The record is now eight. They celebrate the actual stunt man who did this with recognition from Ryan Gosling. They did the stunt, didn't set the record, then did it again, since they had another car, and that one was the keeper.
I remember the theme song more than the show. "Cuz I'm the unknown stuntman that made Eastwood look so good." Fun fact: Apparently when the creator of the show was trying to sell it, he went into a pitch meeting and sold the whole concept with just the theme song.
I had the opportunity to see this a few weeks back and it was a lot of fun! If you like Leitch/Bullet Train then you will absolutely love this movie. If you didn't, you actually might still be able to!
I’m one of those 3 people. Thanks for letting me know before hand. If it’s something that happens in real life? Just show it. When you do a pov? It takes away its authenticity & what makes stunts cool. You know it’s just a camera that did the stunt. But showing the person do the stunt & the danger that comes with it, is what makes stuntmen so admirable. Like in a big budget movie, you never want to see, just the dash cam footage of one persons perspective in a massive car pile up. It just takes away from the whole picture, if that makes sense?
Meh. It was light entertainment at best. I didn't buy the love story. I could see them as friends, but not some intense love story. Blunt's girl boss was pretty silly. Frankly she didn't add anything but star power and blowing the budget. Some up and coming actress could have done the part for a fraction of the $$. There is really no relation to the old TV series except the names and the now co-lead is a stunt man.
On a related note, I recently rewatched the original "Star Wars" trilogy on VHS and remembered that the version of Episode IV that I have supposedly will never be available again, which is kind of cool in a twisted way 😁. Update: I saw "The Fall Guy" this week and it was just as entertaining as described in Jeremy's review - I also liked how during the end credits there were behind-the-scenes footage of Ryan Gosling's and others' stunt doubles filming their scenes.
I'd hate to advertise another channel here, but there's Corridor Crew and their series "Stuntmen React". They invite some notorious stuntmen and martial artists, breakdown famous stunt scenes from movies ranging from some really old stuff up to some fresh Marvel scenes. The amount of work that goes into making a captivating stunt and the sacrifice of these men and women, oftentimes people ending up in a hospital but they kept rolling and used that take in the film. These guys ain't playin'.

Ah Ryan Gosling, the romantic action comedy hero we didn’t deserve but desperately needed. Bringing that old school Hollywood magic and adventure. This one felt special to see in the movies.
Im sry but this movie was boring
too much talkin and not enough cool action
2/10
It's been a while since i've had this much fun watching a movie. I didn't want it to end.
"I'm never one to Kiss and Tell, but I've been seen with Farah." Yep I still remember the theme song from Fall Guy. great 80s fun but dumb show (like most of the great shows from the time, all about FUN). Too bad Hollywood forgot about that little word for the most part.
Thanks for always helping me chose what movies are worth seeing. Def options differ from one to the other but ur pretty spot on the reviews
Been waiting for this review! Very smooth with the sponsor.
Physical media is not dying, Jeremy. In fact, it's better than it's ever been right now 💿
The Rock will always be my favorite action movie, Nick Cage and Sean Connery are just too much fun together in it
Hey Jeremy, long time sub. Just checked you out at Total Wine. Didn't click for a few minutes, but was cool meeting you. Keep it real.

Dogshit. There you go, that’s the review
I know it was an ad, but thank you for giving my Ryan Gosling his flowers. 😍He’s my husband once I get these papers illegally notarized 😂
Marge Simpson: I gotta stop fantasying about Lee Majors
Jeremy, you have been so down right entertaining for so much of my life at this point and continue to do so
I'm surprise Tom Cruise was not the star of this movie. Lol.
Would have been better if he was
@@smpdevelopments Lol.
"Cuz I'm the unknown stuntman that makes Eastwood look so fine." The Fall Guy Song.
VHS again just like The First Omen?
I loved that the movie knew fall well what it was and didn’t try to be anything other than that, simple plot, amazing action scenes. Ryan is hilarious and I hope they cast him in more action comedies.
"He's so cool he doesn't even eat his cereal?"
What the hell does that even mean, dude?
Its an old meme reference where a spoonful of cereal is shopped into videos of Ryan Gosling turning away.
Jeremy grew up with The Fall Guy
He's not Chris.
@@aaron827 tell that to Zod's snapped neck
i love how ryan can navigagate movie genres so well. i mean should have a category for stuntwork at the oscars years ago
Sucks
I remember the theme song more than the show. "Cuz I'm the unknown stuntman that made Eastwood look so good." Fun fact: Apparently when the creator of the show was trying to sell it, he went into a pitch meeting and sold the whole concept with just the theme song.
Why haven’t you reviewed challengers
I had the opportunity to see this a few weeks back and it was a lot of fun! If you like Leitch/Bullet Train then you will absolutely love this movie. If you didn't, you actually might still be able to!
The last time I was this early, my girlfriend left me
I’m one of those 3 people.
Great movie! But we need a Metal Storm flick with Momoa! :D
Favorite action moment. Jeremy hitting the camera with his IRON FIST!
I love the credit scenes where they showed actual stunt people doing their work😊 also a throwback to older movies ❤

Stunt performers should be an Oscar category
Lee Majors was a cyborg in the '70s, the OG Fall Guy in the '80s, and was even Ash Williams's dad, Brock!
2:28 Those were my faves when I was an '80s kid in the '80s.
7:02 / 7:06 The Road Warrior, Die Hard, and 'Tango & Cash'. That's if we're sticking with straight-up action and not hybrid-genre moviefilms like 'The Terminator'.
Yeah... he was also on The Big Valley in the 60s.
