🇨🇦👋 This post wasn't what I had expected based on its title. I thought the piglets were on their way to the butcher! Didn't think too far ahead....it was obviously too early for the butcher. I had been anticipating their move to the pasture. I used to fantasize about having a hobby farm. After watching your posts Pete for the past few months, I realize just how unprepared I am to realistically run any kind of livestock operation. I'm a first responder. I'd willingly give up my hectic days for yours. At the end of your day, you've been productive and accomplished something that makes a difference. Your post's are a welcomed distraction.👍👍👍👍👍
Don't sell yourself short! As a first responder, what you do is also important and productive. You help people and save lives! I understand why you want a quieter life, but be proud of what you are doing now. Thank you for your service!
Great video. It's amazing how many folks don't know about picking the pigs up by the hind legs. On our farm, we put rails about 8 inches from the floor and wall to keep the snow from being able to lay longer pigs. Many pigs saved from being squeezed to death.
another great video, thanks Pete! I can´t wait to see those cute piglets run out in the pasture and graze in the shadows....it really looks like a heavenly place for pigs! :D
Supernaturally like turn into ghost piglets or become clairvoyant piglets or ghost busters piglets 😆😆😆 I am just messing with you I understand what you mean by the way I like your name God love the animals because I am crazy about animals too but I don't eat them though .😥
I am switching to vegan products only too 🐁 I feel very good because I feel so much cleaner and pure 🐓 Soylent gives me so so so so much nutrients as well 🦃!
You got some fine looking pigs there Mr. Pete! Also you are my hero. You don't go in for the fancy and expensive. You make good use of what you have on hand and it works just as good. I learned a long time ago that there's a lot of money and a long way between what looks pretty and what works! 🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖😊
Farrowing rails along at least one wall would help give the little guys room to escape mum lying down, Just a thought, they do work. Nice looking pigs, I'm 72 been involved with pigs since I was three years old.
Nice to see someone else using a dog transport kennel for pigs. I use mine to pick them up from my breeder and let them use it for housing until they are ready for something bigger. Great videos and some good looking pigs. Keep up the great work.
Hey Pete i love when your out mowing your fields and I love to mowing with my sickle mower and restore them. You are a good teacher to I had a small farm with 5 cows and a few chickens.
Ha enjoyed the video when u said hog heaven I thought you were going to kill them glad u did not. I think it would be cool to have pigs for pets u could call them bacon, pork chops, and sausage take care and have a blessed week
Give Pigs Credit Where Credit Is Do! I loved working on that family PIC Multiplier as a Nursery Manager...PIGS ARE AWESOME....Love all your videos !! Keep'm coming!!!
Pete - visited my Brother and his family over the Fourth. My nephew showed me is project calf - a small black angus. He named it "Doc", because of you and your videos. I thought that was awesome and would share it. Keep up the good work!
Always great to see pigs in the forest. When you remove the sides of the pen, please get some good shots of the area so that in December you can do a Before and After comparison of the area.
My Dad always told me the most perfect voltage tester was a kid with wet fingers. Now I find out they make a tester!?!? Oh well, those finger burns went away long time ago!
Fantastic video. You put so much work and passion in all your viedos you are a great person and hard working. Greeting from a.small organic farmer in the south pacific islands.
I can't believe how calm your sows are, with piglets being in there, I've seen them come over there stalls try to protect them. I use to work on my uncles sow farm when i was young, and lovef it. When you get older, you sure do miss things you did growing up. Nice looking group of pigs.
I got stopped by cops 4 times in 40 miles on the 4th of July. I knew I had a headlight out. It just happened when I pulled in to the grocery store. My shoe was wet from the rain and as I was parking it slipped off the brake pedal and I banged the yellow pole. The shop is waiting for the replacement to get here to get it fixed. But if they were handing out awards for who got stopped the most on Independence Day, I’d be the winner! No tickets, they each said they were just letting me know. Where’s my award? I like the pig shelter. It looks great! We’re there two sore backs later that night? Lifting pigs is hard work.
Hello Peter & Tanya. Thanks so much for being as gentle, as you can be, with transporting the piglets to their new home. Their a beautiful animal. Take care of those hornet bites. Be well.
New subscriber here, spent the last week binge watching your vids. Enjoy the content and lm looking forward to many new videos. Thanks for sharing. I like how you are keeping the small farm life going. Great equipment too, it’s nice to see the older equipment continue to work the ground.
build a wall that is about 4 inches above ground , when a pig sleeps they tend to sleep on top of there young. when you build it it helps protect the pigs from getting crushed , the piglets can crawl under and be able not to be crushed by mom. also put it about 5 inches away from the outer wall. check out other pig farmers to see what I'm talking about
Fantastic video. You put so much work and passion in all your videos you are a great person and hard working. Greeting from a small organic farmer in the south pacific islands.
I too worked for the City of Brantford Parks Dept in the summer in 1981, 82, 83. The Stihl had a shoulder harness and boy that think could whip up stones that became missles!
OMG! Congratulations brownie! They are adorable looks like they are all wearing little spotted diapers! Thanks for your videos, I was raised on a pig farm in NJ, brings back some great memories!💖
That was the best joke I’ve heard in a long time, and it really meant something personal to me. If we ever meet at the farmers market I’ve got some salty jokes for you 😂
Have you considered putting in a pig rail to help keep Mama from rolling on her babies? We even use a pig rail in our kennels to keep those moms from rolling on their puppies. Thanks for another awesome video.
When you name your animals and then send them to be butchered I get sad especially the pigs. I am impressed how you’ve taken a small piece of land and made the most of it. good 👍 work
Pete, thank you for another interesting video - I’m looking forward to seeing how the piglets progress in the future. I caught the “Safety Sam” comment and I respect your freedom of choice. You obviously have plenty of experience and know what’s safe and what isn’t - unfortunately there are a lot of well-intentioned rules about everything these days, which makes it feel like we live in a “nanny state.”
man their colours are gorgeous, morons think pigs are stupid & filthy when in fact they are very hygienic (if kept in the right environment) & intelligent creatures. I used to work on a pig farm during my summer holidays when I was a kid, I loved it especially when they had their litters. such gorgeous animals.
For anyone using the same weed whacker blade, I recommend putting the blade upside-down so the blade bevel angle is \_______/ instead of /______\. The amount of blades I go through is a 10th. My guess is that it can skip across something instead catching, pulling down, and snapping.
finisher pigs, you do such a great job...I commented prior about raising pigs, I was a Nursery Manager Raised steady on hand about 4,000, Hard work...but def worth it, them 32 unique sounds pigs make, and how smart they actually are, I am sure they appreciate you!
Oh my gosh, TWELVE?! That’s not good, I’d consider that a home run! Holy cow. I’d def give her another shot and see if she keeps hitting big numbers. Maybe put together a safe zone for the piglets to flee big mama and stay safe.
It will be a kick to know how many comments you get about mistreating the piglets by grabbing their back legs to move them. That is how it is done. Thanks for another impressive video. Have a blessed day.
O my, watching you chop those "T" post down made me think of how much they cost now days. They are crazy expensive here in Indiana. You would think they were made of wood or something. :)
I occasionally put out videos to haven't in a few years kinda lost interest but this channel gives me new inspiration. You are your family farm are awesome 👌 I actually prefer to watch you videos opposed to a lot of other stuff
Love all your videos! I was an international student at SUNY Broome Community College for a year. Fun to hear you talk about ares near by . Greetings from Sweden!
Love pigs! Poor Hilary standing looking up looking for more wasp! Boy I don't like hornet or wasp stings. Looking forward to seeing the pigs on pasture video
If you have a water softener, collect the brine from the regeneration cycle and water the fence area with it, those weeds will not grow there for a good long while! it works on gravel driveways as well!
I can’t help but smile whenever I see the piglets. Takes me back to my childhood.
You are a hard working man. After watching you work, I have to take a nap.
😂😂😂 this was hilarious… I needed this comment
You ladies and gents deserve medals , you work so hard and I've learned a lot from watching your excellent channel. All the best from the uk

Enjoyed! My favorite part was you showing us the old posts from before you were born. I’m nostalgic also!
Great video. It's amazing how many folks don't know about picking the pigs up by the hind legs.
On our farm, we put rails about 8 inches from the floor and wall to keep the snow from being able to lay longer pigs. Many pigs saved from being squeezed to death.
Watching you do your farm work with the animals really brings back memories when I was a young lad. There was always something to do.
The only one

My Dad always told me the most perfect voltage tester was a kid with wet fingers. Now I find out they make a tester!?!? Oh well, those finger burns went away long time ago!
Pitch fork with a plastic handle. Create a bridge between the wire and the post and listen for the spark
That’s funny, my father-in-law would tell the grandkids that same thing.
Ywrcrdjeeu
My dad always told me to stick my tongue on it 😂
My word! That's sounds horrifying to this city girl!!
Thanks love all your working adventures and the humor you bring.

A very nice pig enclosure Pete. They are going to love it there.

Best thing you don't have to chase them all day... Kool having pigs thanks for sharing your video...

i’m on that good kush and alcohol
Jajajajaja
Uncle kept pigs. They did not smell very good at all. Later meetings with different pigs and habitats....still smell awful. Not stupid by any means.
I got a good laugh when that last piglet was hiding on you😂
For anyone using the same weed whacker blade, I recommend putting the blade upside-down so the blade bevel angle is \_______/ instead of /______\. The amount of blades I go through is a 10th. My guess is that it can skip across something instead catching, pulling down, and snapping.

I use a widia blade for a brush cutter that cuts anything, including thin trees and bushes. I recommend relieving the engine and hands. Take Care.
I can't wait to watch the follow up! Please post again in a few days!
You seem to be a handy man Pete. Build crate on wheels for moving the pigs :) Save your body from some of the hard work. Keep it up
Brownie is such a great looking sow, her colors are nice.
finisher pigs, you do such a great job...I commented prior about raising pigs, I was a Nursery Manager Raised steady on hand about 4,000, Hard work...but def worth it, them 32 unique sounds pigs make, and how smart they actually are, I am sure they appreciate you!
Stihl rules the farm.
Excellent vid as usual Pete!
Oh my gosh, TWELVE?! That’s not good, I’d consider that a home run! Holy cow. I’d def give her another shot and see if she keeps hitting big numbers. Maybe put together a safe zone for the piglets to flee big mama and stay safe.
I remember the days . Oh I loved holding them. Our pig pen near our woods were we played
Take us back to the pigpen often so we can see how they eat the vegetation please.
I had to slow down the playback speed to read your message to Safety Sam ---- ha ha ha ha haha ha! Those were the quietest piglets I've ever seen!
Man do I enjoy the piglet videos. Run! Run! Run! Thanks for the video Pete.
It will be a kick to know how many comments you get about mistreating the piglets by grabbing their back legs to move them. That is how it is done. Thanks for another impressive video. Have a blessed day.
I've certainly gotten that comment before. I don't know how else I'd carry them.
O my, watching you chop those "T" post down made me think of how much they cost now days. They are crazy expensive here in Indiana. You would think they were made of wood or something. :)

I'd love to hang out in that pig barn with those little cuties! I love piglets!!
Love all your videos!
I was an international student at SUNY Broome Community College for a year. Fun to hear you talk about ares near by .
Greetings from Sweden!
Cutting .5 rebar x 20 ' into 5' sections makes for great electric fence post and cuts down on costs. Saves the tpost for hard fencing.
That ticket joke was cute.
Love pigs! Poor Hilary standing looking up looking for more wasp! Boy I don't like hornet or wasp stings. Looking forward to seeing the pigs on pasture video
I like that old post, I have cedar posts that were made in the 1920's that are still solid. History is important to me.
Good video, my job on the farm was working with the pigs 🐖
Looks great! These pigs have a nice life. Great video and content, I will be back.👍
You need to have bars around the outside of the pen so when the sow lays down the little ones have a place to go
If you have a water softener, collect the brine from the regeneration cycle and water the fence area with it, those weeds will not grow there for a good long while!
it works on gravel driveways as well!
New subscriber from Texas. Like watching. Not a bunch of unnecessary yammering. So interesting.
Great video once again thanks Pete. Got to get myself some pigs. I think you need a big trolley for you dog/pig transporter they looked heavy.
I love the Safety Sam comment. It was quick. I had to rewatch it a few times and be quick on the pause button!
very good info on the pigs. You have a great place to fatten them up.
This family is so blessed.
Thanks for all the content you put out. I sure enjoy it!
You really brought home the bacon in this video Pete! I'm sorry to be such a ham.
I really love Run Run Run! Great Video.> Thanks for Sharing. Get rid of the WASPS!!
Greeting from Taiwan! Your vedio is awesome!!
Look forward to your videos! Good job
Awesome! I wish I had a place to raise hogs. Thanks!
That's the calmest litter of pigs I have ever seen.
