      80 in a shifter cart isn't hard to do. Hell non shifter 212 you can get up to 80 with say a 36/17 tooth setup on 12" tall tires.
      This particular setup if they wanted to and had the balls to do it, i am positive they could get up to 150 easily in say a half mile scenario.

    How you guys don't get busted by the cops is beyond me. We used to be able to do that sort of stuff 35 years ago but these days neighbours might as well be an extension of the local cops. Love your work guys. Back in the day, we used to cut the gearbox of old motorcycle engines and use a single cylinder Villiers 2 stroke engine. Weld a sprocket where the clutch used to live with a centrifugal clutch on the motor crankshaft. So many hours of fun..and never any cops around.

      @Austin Friedner
      Whether or not that cart is more stable then the 670 tractor at those speeds that roll cage would not hold up to a rollover they should be in full safety gear. Testing is where your worst accidents happen Ask any race car driver that's ever gotten into a bad accident, safety gear saves. That being said those guys definitely know how to rip it up😀

    Isaac you are right the Ducarti will win an overall top speed run, but the cross car would kick its butt in a street race or overall agility race. the Ducarti is just a stupid fast Dragcart and that’s why it is so badass. keep up the good work guys I hope one day me and my son could show just how much you have inspired us to be gearheads and still be respectable people in our community that doesn’t happen too often with the things we decide to have fun on...usually it’s a bad crowd you are respectable people thank you for that

      Off road tires allows more top speed, because there is less friction on the road. If you replace the tire with slick or radial, it will be worse. It can allow more traction, but creates more friction.

    • @VA-ng2ve

      Cross cart will run out of steam due to the gearing. It's geared way too low. Ducarti has shown it can do over 100 and get up to speed very quickly. Also less weight to deal with?
      Unless they put some taller tires on it, it has 0 chance.

    Get the Shifter situation addressed asap! So many ideals and avenues for that task.
    Since it looks like an on / off road version of a formula race car as it is (low wide and quick handling with minimal tubular frame construction) maybe some taller wide tires are in order( they dont have to be slicks), with yellow lettering on the sidewall for the race look. Maybe even take it to the next level by fabricating a chin splitter, I think its called or front air dam, and then fab up a rear spoiler like a F1 race car too. The Formula Rally Cross Over! hahaha but for really it think shifting and tire size are the main issues.

      I agree it needs tank protection and also needs roll protection over the steering 4-6 inches in the clear really you need the full roll cage the way most rail sand buggies and most of the 4 cyl carts are doing. and some chicken wire in key locations for keeping your hands inside . these things are supposed to be upside down. Plastic needs metal. the way it is now when that things upside down you will break the wheel and probably your hands. My sister had an odessy and i'm sure it wasn't half as fast as that 750 but it got the rubber side up often. In fact that wus part of the fun because you were safe when it happened and the vehicle seldom took damage cus the small engine kept the speed down as long as you had the harness tight. edit
      HaHa ha I see that during the time that past you had already done the full rollcage. Now your safe from everything but cliffs and pickup trucks but the driver is supposed to miss them. I know your michanic don't want to hear this but get a motor cycle mechanic for a buddy so you can borrow his carb vacuum gage set do you can balance them carbs or get one to do it and let him take a test drive. its like the back pressure extractor issue those carbs are balanced and jetted for a certain length pipe and collector, Besides its just more pleasent if that is humming in your ears not screaming. I really like the suspension setup Looks great. btw its not a gokart they have solid axels. have FUN!!!!!!!!!!

    This thing is cool, don't get me wrong. But there are several things you guys need to take into account with safety when dealing with a home built machine that does almost 90mph. Your roll bar is not high/forward enough. Flip it over and your domes are going to be ground to pulp by asphalt. Not to mention your main hoop is like 6 pieces welded together. Please get new helmets, they do age and need to be replaced every few years. Im sure you can get some brand to sponsor you or something. I'm glad you're adding front brakes. I'm not trying to gripe, I just want to make sure one of you doesn't end up dead because of this thing. 🤘

    Just remember these are Kart tires they use are not suitable for that kind of speed or heat (and typically don't have warning indicators) like specific race/road ones.
    Just be safe and remember to use the correct equipment if building anything (also check with manufacturers if you don't know)
