you got good brand insetya oops spelled it wrong my still working for years
Griffith did nothing wrong
8bitDo is "Congratulations to us! now make us richer!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Every anniversary product ever.
I'm not surprised the metal controllers are wired. Bluetooth would be challenged to connect through a metal chassis.
Keep in mind that the metal can interfere with the signaling so wired is best for controllers like this. For the price, you can see that a quality metal shell like this can cost $70 alone. $100, while expensive, is probably a reasonable price for this. Unfortunately.
I bought the $7.15 one. The budget isn't there for $71 this week
If anything the marketing is fun.
If your gaming buddy buys you one of those, your basically their 2P for life.
I plan on doing a mini PC retro game rig. For sure will have a retro controller to go with it.
Hotwheels are metal, but still cheap
Let's see how good these are
I miss the days when gold looked less like bronze. If I were to shell a hundo, I'd probably opt for the 'silver' one
Btw, those Insignia chargers and battery backs are legit. I had one for my Xbox One S, and it lasted for the whole time I owned that system. Well, up until I sold it and used the money towards the Xbox Series X.
Happy birthday 8bitDo! 🎉🥳👍
I still rock the nes30 on occasion. Since it works on my Retron 5, Switch and Laptop I got use to the size.
And darn the Ambernic crew. I need to order that new RG40XX tomorrow.
Why can't 8bitdo make a SNES Pro wired controller with a SNES connection to play on a real SNES?
It's not profitable. How many snes are alive at this point? how many people buy snes clones? it's all about money but is understandable.
I like the Pro 2 feeling(I was happy to finally get a GOOD 3rd party XBox controller). I wasn't interested in the Neo one because I wanted it to match the og one and I remember they didn't use microswitches in the joystick or something.
I’ve loved everything 8bitdo I’ve ever bought.
Only had one dud wt 8bitdo. Purple switch pro controller I was using on my pc. D pad was wonky. Gave it to my daughter and she loves it for her switch. I’ve bought 10 8bitdo controllers over the yrs.
i want to see a the ultimate Bluetooth in baige with red BAYX black analogs and triggers like KK3PRO with dmg-01 theme .
Man I wish I could have gotten the crystal purple Pro 2 Hall Effect version. I have the original version and love it, but having improved version of the sticks that will last much longer makes me wish I could trade in the original one for the upgrade.
Yeah I caved and ordered the gold version back when you posted this video. I received it today and this thing is pretty sweet! I wish I would’ve ordered the silver one as well before they sold out.
I’ve had that insignia battery pack/charger for over 2 years and the batteries are still going strong! Def. happy with it!
7/11 11th anniversary interesting, unfortunately wired kinda sucks i like displaying my controllers. Im staring at a spot on my desk right now where i could have a hanging hook, but this is a bad time to purchase for me, vacation season + school season half way here.
I just got the ultimate for the switch. It is a sweet controller.
8bitdo ships pretty quick. I wanted two PCE controllers for my Analogue Pocket. I ordered one from amazon to start and about a week later, ordered from 8bitdo. I got the 8bitdo one a few days before the one from Amazon. They were backordered on Amazon with delivery date between 2-3 weeks at the time.
I managed to grab one of the 7$ mystery boxes. Hopefully it is worth it
Some thing are fun to look at and you think, not gonna pay for that, but cool to see.
Does the Neo Geo controller work as soon as you plug it into the PS classic or do I have to... download this,..update that,... unzip this,... flash that,.. reconfigure this,..etc😊.. 'always enjoy your videos!!
Does anyone have any experience of which 8BitDo controllers work well with the RetroFreak usb?
Gold and silver? cool...just not for 100. Never knew about those mystery boxes. Now thats very very cool
I just beat smb on a nes on a 27 sony crt with nes wired controller. Input latency 0 😂
Guess that’s why it’s wired, Bluetooth won’t work through metal. 🤷🏾♂️
If people waste over $100 on non existent digital clothes and guns for for a single character in a single game that isn't even guaranteed to be usable for as long as they "own" the game, why wouldn't a gaming company assume those same people are willing to spend $99 on a ridiculous corded controller?
If most gaming idiots were financially smarter and had more self control companies wouldn't dream of charging so much for something like this.
🤦♂️ When a company celebrates being around for 11 years they're supposed to be creating a bunch of value for all the customers that kept their company alive for 11 years, not do everything to take advantage of them and floss them for all the money.
It's not hard to see why people would rather buy something comparable from a cheaper source these days.🤷♂️
The metal controller looks cool, and I like playing wired, but I do *not* want a permanently attached cable. I already have USB-C to A cables plugged in a bunch of places and can easily swap between controllers. If the cable doesn't detach I gotta unplug stuff to make room and plug this in every time, seems like a huge hassle. A few hard tugs and the cable can turn to junk with a permanently attached cable, too. Lots of wired Xbox 360 controllers broke that way. I've already bought new controllers kinda recently, but I'll tell some friends about the sale.
Ah man, I wanted one of those metal controllers.
Just realized this video was 11 days ago. I really missed out on those metal ones by many days
I was hoping for a Wireless Smoke Black SN30 Pro.
If they made them in the ugly Purple and Green, then certainly they could have done Smoke Black.
One thing I've learned, is the whole "Limited Edition" is a gimmick. They almost always have tons in stock.
More power to people wasting money, won't be me this time around...Lol
yeah is kind of weird they didnt make that one in smoke black. With the anniversary stuff 8bitdo does it usually is actually limited... but from the past times they have done this they announced how many were produced, this time I am not sure... the limited edition anniversary stuff has always sold out from them... this time I think these may take a while to sell out or maybe they wont sell out at all?
It's hard to take seriously a metal controller with rubber dome switches. If everything in it was optical, or at least dustproof mechanical switches, it would be something special, but rubber will degrade faster than plastic ever will.
Not related to this video, but do the Nintendo re-pro bluetooth controllers work with any console that has bluetooth capabilities?
Consoles are pretty strict on which controllers they allow to work. You usually have to pretend to be a controller specific to that console at minimum, via the firmware or an adapter. You can expect them all to work on the console they say they will and also PC, maybe modded older consoles also, but nothing recent. PS3 and Xbox 360 can both be modded to improve third party controller support, for example, and then anything with an XInput mode tends to work like it would on PC on those modded consoles. PS4/PS5 and Xbox One or later have strict checks on the controller and even if you get one working, it may shut off after a few minutes if it doesn't think it's legit. This is a hot topic in the DIY arcade controller community. The current workaround that GP2040-CE firmware uses to get them working on those modern MSFT/Sony consoles is to use an extra dongle that pretends to be one of the authorized official arcade sticks or racing wheels, you plug it into the controller and then the controller plugs into the console as normal and can pass the checks. Even if you go that route, PS5 and Xbox Series need different dongles from each other, so you *still* can't just have one setup that always works with everything. Switch has very lax security compared to the other two because they allowed the Pokken controller made for the Wii U to work, so controllers can just pretend to be a Pokken controller in their firmware, and there's no fancy check on that.
I think all current consoles support plugging in a USB keyboard, but that won't help you in most games.
Their black X box (ps2 looking) wired controller is their best for me, mainly because it works and I used for my Neo Geo mvs consolized. Their original one that looks like the one in this picture doesn't work for it, I also have problem playing SF games with it, cause I use HP with R button, and HK with R2, and it's a little uncomfortable, other than that it ain't bad, I use the Snes one for every else but SF, specially Ryujinx in my PC.
If you got both the gold and silver for that price I would say that it would be more reasonable but $100 is far too much for what you get.
Anybody got their ultimate 2C yet?
Lootboxes are cool now?
Why can't they make third party controllers all multiplatform.
We all know the consoles out.
LOL Analogue aluminum BS and now this ? HAHA
That shows how they have no respect for the customers
LOL, this aged like milk.
Sold out metal controller. Wow.....
What was 8bitdo making 11 years ago?
They were making the original N30 controllers I believe, with the diamond layout for the buttons, then the pro version that was slimmer and had the rounded corners like a dogbone nes controller.
Their first controller was an Apple II Kickstarter
Metal guy here, zinc aka galvanized mild steel.
Alright, rock on!🤘
😂
Nobody is talking about these and they are sold out already
$99 yeah, nah. 8bitdo trippin lately
I am all over that retro keyboard. 8BitDo is the best.
Dude woot has the Famicon edition for $70. Just bought one a few weeks ago and it’s great! I love the clicking but also love how it’s not overbearing and annoyingly loud. I’ve been using the 2.4ghz usb on my tablet and everything works perfectly, including volume nob (on Samsung galaxy tab).
I have both the NES and Famicom keyboards with cases. I'm planning on buying the C64 one soonish.
I got the $13 one and only got two. I bought it like 5 minutes after the post. Wtf.
What?
@@donmcron3334 idk it's weird. I bought the one that was $13 after shipping and got two items. But now I've got a second package coming I guess? The post said 4-6 items is what ur supposed to receive depending on stock. The first two items didn't even have any tracking or anything. Just got delivered randomly.
I would consider purchasing the metal controllers if it included BOTH the silver and gold ones for $99 but for one? Pass.
I am excited about this. Thanks for showing this. I love 8BitDo controllers.
But it's 8BitDo not dough :P The world will end if you say dough. /s
Its dough dude. Stop trippin
@@soundsonline796 It's not a pizza lol
@@SirRandallDoesStuff It's the same "do" at the end of the word "Nintendo" which their designs are mostly inspired from. That's my interpretation anyway. I don't know if they've officially said anywhere how you say it but it makes more sense to me to say it like "dough" because of that. "nin-ten" and "8-bit" are even the same amount of syllables.
Sold out? Lame. Pass.
