    I just feel I'm getting less for my money with a break barrel, when I spend a lot on a springer, I want levers and loading ports, the process of loading makes it feel more special. In the immortal words of Nick " In my opinion " 😂

    That difficult choice i wanted skip, thats why i bought them all except the 57 an 90, those are still on my list. 😁 Some models i have in .177 and .22. My HW80K is in .25 and a beast.

    I'm in the 97K camp, I bought mine new in 2007 for $499 USD. Mine is marked Beeman on the back left side of the receiver. I've completely modded and tuned it several ways, it's currently shooting at 815 fps with a 8.48 QYS pellet. Extremely accurate. The 98 I would like to try someday, but I'm an under lever guy and .177 only cal.

    I have a 98 with TBT, had a 97 Venom tuned, both very good indeed, I prefer breakers but there is a drawback with breakers and that's scope selection. if you want high mag long scope for serious FT for e.g. you'll better make sure not too long or it'll go over the breach and especially if you want a sunshade on.
    Out of the box, the best gun is the TX200 IMO, getting a 90 soon though.
    If I ever went back to serious FT it would be a TX200 so as not the restrict scope selection.

    The 97 KT has a adjustable butpad 😁but that version is even more expensive as a 98 🤔 In my experience the hw97 is easier to shoot accurately than the hw98. I always get like 4 or 5 great shots and then a bit of a flyer. That does not happen to me with the 97. By the way both have TbT kits in them.

    • @rapalaron6348
      @rapalaron6348 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My 97KT did not come with an adj. butpad, but i know they where sold with adj.butpad for a while. I installed one myself but i could not get used to the plastic look so i bought a nice wooden stock instead. Only a matter of taste of coarse because the plastic stock did fit me like a glove. Cheers!

    I own a Hw77 and a Hw 97 , ive owned three 80's and tended to sell them to finance a Pcp? Picked up 95's 98's in shops and to me they've always felt a bit slim and light🤔 anyway ive special ordered a 20 calibre 80 so im either going to be really happy or totally upset with the new calibre 😂 it will be TBT'd of course.

    Id say the extra £70 quid pays for the nice stock, the 97 can get really expensive once ya start changing the stock from synthetic, nevermind if ya go laminate stock with silver finish😅 98 is a nice change from laminates, i even prefer the beech 98 over the special edition black laminate one they did

    Easy just buy a AA TX200 or a Prosport, I’ve got both as well as a LSD grey laminate HW98, and the rifle that shots just as well is the HW90K in a custom stock 500,it is so accurate.

    I remember when the 77 came out and all those crappy break barrels and tap-loaders could just go back to the farmyard. The breech-loading fixed barrel system is the standard for target shooting. Try both of them at 100 yards in still air. Are the bench-rest people using the 98? I didn’t think so. The 98 is a brilliant piece of marketing and nothing more. Break-barrels aren’t safer, plenty of people missing teeth and the pretty face they were born with because of the ‘safe’ break barrel. Taps, roller-breeches, trap and pop-ups are the ‘safe’ springers.

    • @buijs1967

      @@buijs1967 The 97 has a factory moderator specifically designed for it, The adjustable but pad can be easily bought on eBay. And the stock on a 97 with the higher cheek piece needs no adjustment. And a fixed barrel will always be more accurate that's just physics.
