Ya know, instead of Ultra, they should've just made this shoot 90 fps with accustrike Mega Darts. As Walcom pointed out, no one but Nerf does Mega. Proprietary ammo achieved.
No kidding but there was knockoff accustrike megas... Actually came out before the real accustrike megas.

This thing would make such a fantastic HMG prop when painted.
As a bonus, you can actually take it apart to paint it properly, too!
I would have said it in this review but I'm already working on the select-fire Mega: but mag-fed mega reminds me of the HV Penetrator from FEAR.
This is more of a GPMG or a MMG then a HMG. HMGs are mounted, not hand held.

Anyone remember the good old days when nerf was number 1 and painted both sides and wasnt bad
Saves pennies. In batches of hundreds of thousands, that's millions of dollars saved.

it was intended to be its own seprate thing
elite 2.0 was intended to be a mix of modulus and alpha strike
and they booted accustrike because they didn't want to have to make those darts anymore because they were expensive
A nerf mag fed grenade launcher that is full auto would take over the world.
Would be a MASSIVE mag...
I can't even imagine mechanism require to cycle something with tail fins that requires like an 2 inches of tubing to seat/seal it.

It would probably have to be a belt fed. But yeah either way, something loosely based off the Mk.19 auto-launcher would be a dope nerf blaster.
@@WolfMan-nf4lv or something based off of the XM29 OICW, it was more or less a magazine fed grenade launcher with an underbarrel rifle
Imagine how many low-budget scifi movies would have repainted Motostrykes in them if this came out like a year after the Centurion.

It's weird how, in a time where competitors are innovating with blaster internals, Hasbro are finding ways to break mechanisms that they'd (just about) perfected years ago.
The Motostryke is a definite buy for me anyway. It's a very overdue blaster but better late than never. The only two concerns I have are obtaining extra clips for a reasonable price (Worker, do your thing) and finding pouches to hold said clips in.
Id say just buy the buzzbee mega mags theyll work and if yellows not your color you can just paint em

So, this is what happens if a Mastodon meets a Centurion, in a Stryfe shell
We use Mega in 40K LARP as Bolter ammo, normal Darts as Lasgunshots and Rival for Specialweapons like Plasma.

The motostryke looks really cool and I like it’s shell and for special mega rules make it seem very powerful for a base,ent war even with the goofy mag
It is a bit more powerful than normal, slow wind up time though.

I bought the motostryke at a target yesterday, there were so many 2.0 wardens and only 3 motostrykes left! so i got one and my mag release works. BEST NERF BLASTER I'VE EVER PURCHASED!
The rev up sound brings me back to the OG barricade
with mega its so easy to see the darts majestically fly into the air and hit with pin point accuracy

what i meant to say with mega it is so easy to see the darts fly every which way because their nerf darts and nerf don"t do accurate
They may not be accurate, but I do like how loud they whistle when they fly.
Ever since this blaster was launched, trying to find Tyrant mags for less than $30 has been impossible. Hopefully that 3D printed mag that Adrianna was talking about will be available soon.

That foregrip should have been a pump action for 5 rival rounds… that would be awesome. Nerf should make a double ammo line. Reskin blasters like the Demolisher, Dual-strike and make blasters with different types of ammo combinations. I would love to see an Aliens style pulse riffle that fires regular darts and loads Mega darts at the bottom; kind of like a rapidstrike and mega magnus combined.
Amazed we haven't seen much in the way of combo blasters since the Dual Strike...

My Motostryke mag release works normally. Shoots Accustrike Mega darts very well. Feels super nice in the hands. Not too noisy. Blaster itself doesn't feel too large, but the magazine seems gigantic compared to regular nerf dart mags.
I can't wait for a full auto with a 18 round mega drum 👍and maybe nerf will make it happen

I feel like pouches might be an issue for mega mags since there aren't really any magazine pouches for mags this big. Other nerf mags can at least take advantage of readily available surplus and tactical gear. .50 BMG magazine pouches might be an option but those are typically quite short since .50 BMG rifles usually have magazines with a low capacity

When Coop got his Motostryke, the trigger on his kept seizing up for some reason. I thought the same thing was going happen to yours but I guess that's not the case so maybe, I can think about getting this blaster again
My trigger seizes up if I'm using a centurion mag, I didn't check his video out but was he using the 6 dart mag or the 10?

I picked up a Motostryke, as well as another member of my squad. We haven't noticed anything wrong with the mag release spring, but we agreed on the rev trigger being too small and the magazine can sometimes be a tight fit into the mag well.
As for what can make this a better offering, I'd say one of two things: another magazine or a Mega dart rack. Mega has no exclusive accessories for it's tactical rails, and while its compatible with Elite rail accessories, many are mood point for size or usefulness on such a large platform. A Mega dart rack would also benefit other offerings integrating Mega with Elite, such as the Tri-Strike front barrel attachment (firing 4 Mega darts) or the Dual-Strike (fires 3 Elites and 3 Megas at the flick of a switch). Many Mega blasters would benefit from a dart rack when they don't have magazines to quickly refill their barrels.
Love seeing you rant about companies putting two mags in the box but I don’t see them ever doing it unfortunately. Hasbro hasn’t released this in the UK either.
I'm excited to see what the Mega Skystriker is going to be! Hopefully it uses mags

Unpopular theory: Accustrike Mega darts in a flywheeler like this might not improve accuracy like expected due the crush in the cage. Maybe some Mega Accufakes? Definitely sounds like a good topic and test for a future video.

The longer carry handle and the sights only being on top makes it mor g36 than the rapidstrike,but the front angling downward andthe huge mag detracts from that.

That fps range with mega is pretty good, Id imagine it can't be too hard to get it shooting at about 100fps (realistically all you actually need with mega). I have a 100fps rotofury and it is a beast at wars

Mega Magazine = Megazine. I like it. With the 3 round buzz bee mag, though, it looks like that would work for an easy Star Wars prop. Just paint the blaster and mag and you're done

returned mine the trigger was awful and didnt return all the way. first two shots from a full mag were hit or miss with misfires. plus the rev trigger would get stuck in the on position. a real let down. this was top of my list for 2020 blasters. maybe on sale Ill get it...
don't accustrikes not work well in flywheel blasters? just a thought for why they didn't have them with the Motostryke.
