When I was a kid, I initially thought it was weird that Shadow Meta Knight was called “???” in Radish Ruins, but then I realized: it’s because _Kirby himself_ realizes this can’t possibly be the Meta Knight he knows, because he _doesn’t throw you a sword before the battle._ He could replicate everything else about Meta Knight, but not his sense of honor.

I remember doing kirby amazing mirror speedruns when I was a little kid. Even before I knew what speed running is. This was my first Nintendo game I got from game boy and this really does have a special place in my heart. Great to see it again.
I just found the charger to my game boy advance so I can finally play this again!! Watching this because I never could figure out where to go as a kid, still haven’t.
I vividly remember this game! I always thought the Missile powerup was the dopest thing ever :D I must have sold it at some point because I don't have it any more :(
Fun fact: The stars wait before launching since the game is focused on multiplayer It actually instantly launches if everyone's on, the prolonged pause is so that others can jump on
OMG, after playing kirby games for over 25 years, i just realized kirby gets the green hat when geting the sword power up cause of Link, ive always wandered why the hat, i thought it was cause of robin hood or something lol.
this is the problem with the GDQ channel rebroadcasting and doing smaller marathons over the course of the year. Email notifications used to mean so much more before they did all that! Now the GDQs always sneak up on me.
I’m pretty sure the reason Kirby waits a while on the star before flying off is because the game was originally made to be multiplayer. So, it takes a while for it to go off since it’s waiting for other players to hop on.
For more reasons than you may realize. This game was made by Flagship, the same team that made Squeak Squad. A lot of this soundtrack was directly ported to Squeak Squad, and some of the enemies introduced here return unchanged in Squeak Squad.
I've been stuck going across the same 4 levels for ages in this game. Even using the map, there are a bunch of paths I just have no idea how to travel across.
I personally liked Amazing Mirror more than KSS (snes), which means it was the best at the time of its release. KSS was great, but it was too easy. KSSU then came out and beat Amazing Mirror.
2:15 It's kinda silly, but the reason is so other Kirbies can join and jump on the warp star as well.
Thank you
What a beautiful game, I love the backgrounds so much.

Kirby & the Amazing Wheel
Kirby & the Amazing Stone
Kirby & the Amazing Double-Star
@@NastyLittleBagginses underrated comment right there
Banger comment, sir
seriously though, those three powerups are soooo broken (in good ways)
All time favorite Kirby game, also my first Kirby game
Same here!

Are you sure it isn’t Dark Mind, the final boss of the game? I was sure one of them would be Dark Mind, the final boss of the game.
I really shouldn't have written Kirby off for his floaty jump - this game looks satisfyingly chunky and dynamic.

9:30 Moley really threw that fight, huh?

I loved this game as a kid and I still love it today, but only just now did I realize that it really IS basically a Kirby Metroidvania. Crazy!
the reason the warp stars don't go off for 5-ish seconds is in case a different kirby were to try to get on.
I vividly remember this game! I always thought the Missile powerup was the dopest thing ever :D I must have sold it at some point because I don't have it any more :(
First and best kirby game from childhood. Thank you for the dose of nostalgia.
30:15 nice
I read this comment before I saw it, then when I saw it I instantly knew what this was about
nice
nice
noice
I loved watching this live. Such an amazing event
i love the guy with the puns so wholesome lol
Nice!
btw that second blipper at 5:11 almost ruined the entire run D:
i never knew golem could give two abilities! The more ya know, also speedrunners amaze the hell out of me
squirtkipfan01 yeah but it only happens when they do that action.
I’m pretty sure golem can actually yield 3 abilities: Stone when stationary, Fight when attacking, Wheel when rolling
Makes me realize how many kirby enemies are eyeball based
Fun fact:
The stars wait before launching since the game is focused on multiplayer
It actually instantly launches if everyone's on, the prolonged pause is so that others can jump on
Saw the counter after the final boss
nice >;)
Can't wait till tasbot

Jr Verse It’s all over Twitter and twitch how did you not notice

Calvanyan Maybe he uses those sites once in a blue moon... just like me. Oh well, it's not like I can't watch them on TH-cam at my own pace.
Am I the only one who watches Kirby for the music?
I love the strings part of Peppermint Palace I'm sure there's an OST somewhere
Glad to see my favorite Kirby game ever streamed 😁😁
I was disappointed that no one donated to make a sonic reference but it happened at the end :3
30:16 Nice number on the counter there
Spent dozens of hours with this game as a kid and only ever beat 6 outta 8 bosses hahah. So many good memories though!
IIRC this is the final Kirby game Sakurai worked on directly before leaving Hal and forming Sora.
airirde

That's a lot of puns...
My favorite Kirby Game!
Brings back some memories
Best Kirby game.
thanks sgrunt
Agdq 2019 woooh
*sick* run
I mean *pun
Kinda reminds me stylistically of Kirby Squeak Squad
Kirby Squeak Squad is actually a bit of a sequel to Amazing Mirror, hence why it reuses some of the sprites.
For more reasons than you may realize. This game was made by Flagship, the same team that made Squeak Squad. A lot of this soundtrack was directly ported to Squeak Squad, and some of the enemies introduced here return unchanged in Squeak Squad.
They used the same game engine for Kirby Nightmare in Dream Land, Kirby and the Amazing Mirror and Kirby Squeak Squad :)
Kirby on the way to cake:
I've been stuck going across the same 4 levels for ages in this game. Even using the map, there are a bunch of paths I just have no idea how to travel across.
God do I love agdq.

Nice Run :-)
“Oops”
yay!
All those switches and you didn't even get a yump *one time?*
69, nice
i see you are an intelectual as well
epic
Who is that guy? I never seen him before. Who is Meta Knight?
Nope, never heard of him, he showed up in this game and never showed up again. What a strange unimportant character
Gg
Poyo
Heya
He looks like smg4
i thought kirby was for girls due to the pink color xD
