EDIT: Also, the current version of No More Room in Hell wasn't actually made by the original creators, ever since they were bought out by Torn Banner.
the water physics and glass breaking physics in nmrih are built in features of the source engine, while in nmrih 2, they are using unreal. Which doesn't have built in glass or water physics. Also the reason stuff like the K button, kid zombies, and certain weapons sprinting animations are missing is because a major dev left the project to work for another game company and all things they had worked on were removed from the game. I'm not sure if this was because of a contract the dev made with the devs or something, but that's why this early access build is more unfinished than the previous test builds.

@@TerraEight yeah they released a unworking game with tons of problems instead of releasing a pretty much finished product the old developers made. torn banner is r3tarded 🤣
I feel like a big part of the issue is that as slick and easy as Unreal Engine is to work with, it can't really hold a candle to Source unless a dev really goes all out with it, which most devs don't.
The thing that pisses me off the most is if they would just get rid of the open world extraction based approach they made and just bring back the good old scenario based gameplay we all know and love this would actually be a good fucking game.
As far I can see, the second is meant to be more casual than the first one, I do remember quite a lot of complains regarding the difficulty in the first game. Another thing is the combat on the first one can be quite janky sometimes
Funny thing is, as someone who played 2, I'd say the game wants to be even harder, zombies die slower, you have less combat stamina, they can pounce on you (even normal ones), and the inclusion of red eyes ones who are very hard to kill with melee
I think the original nmrih, is not at all hard if played by full 8 player server, BUT it is a very confusing game if you don't understand the mechanics and the objective of each map, so most of the time 6 player just roam the map not understanding wtf is the objective or how to get to it and the 2 people actually doing the objective
The only thing the developer need to do is polish what's already exist in nmrih 1, and fix the annoying buggy melee, and give more gun variations and more consistent ammo that's available for each gun that spawn, so you don't get 40 5.56 ammo while there is no m16 in the whole map
@@23lief86 I think they want to push people into grouping more by making zombies challenging and your character weaker. I've tried to clear some secondary objectives by myself and found it to be nail-biting at times, despite being quite good at NmriH 1 and action games in general. Not against the idea itself but they melee is so janky right now (among other things) that it doesn't give the satisfaction of pushing through a challenge, more like walking through a mud
Finished product Vs Unfinished product. Also have to remember that NMRIH1 is a half-life two mod, its not a standalone engine. I got high hopes for NMRIH2 but NMRIH1 will always have a special place for me. Lets see how it evolves and then do a comparison ;)
People seem to glaze over the most important thing is that - If the first impression is awful people won't stick around. Cepheus protocol is a good example of a game that while it has flaws it's been keeping a good playerbase because the first impressions were good. This game seems to be laughably undercooked and missing so many basic QOL features that it makes you wonder if this is how they wanted to ship it or did they accidentally put the QA build up instead.

give the game a year or two and it'll probably be a solid zombie game it's no where near 1.0 yet ! probably won't be better, but at the very least on par
I mean to be fair, the 2nd game isnt done yet. This is like comparing a built mansion to a house with just a foundation. Will this game turn put good? Idk, but some like it some dont. Personally as someone who loves the first game, played it yesterday on custom maps, i think the 2nd one has potential in stepping in a new direction, but the execution needs to be solid. Not there yet, but cyberpunk, no mans sky, and silent hill 2 remake proves that games not doing well at the start doesnt mean thats it. It just means the devs should be sinking alot of time fixing them.
Im so tired of people complaining about a alpha game, like nmrih had like 20 years to get updates and still being worked on yet this game just came out and people are shitting… like wait dude

Crazy they want 30 bucks for the shitshow that is NMRIH2
Feel like a casual tactical zombie game now, i cant feel any authentic the first one give out on the 2nd one.
i ain't gonna turned into a zombie!
Cover me I gotta heal! *destroys a piece of clothing with scissors * nyyygghh!....
So NMRIH 2 is pretty much the walking dead when it come to turning into a zombie
@@glibchubik4090 That's interesting to hear.
That definitely makes the experience annoying, I hope they change that in the future
I was waiting for this comparation thanks
1:09 Bieber 😥😥
quite a few of these features come basegame with the source engine so it was easier for them to implement it
People seem to forget this, acting like the OG game was made from scratch or something
Wait until Mike Litoris hears about this
Finished product Vs Unfinished product. Also have to remember that NMRIH1 is a half-life two mod, its not a standalone engine. I got high hopes for NMRIH2 but NMRIH1 will always have a special place for me. Lets see how it evolves and then do a comparison ;)
But first impressions are always the most important too.
@@joemancool i was thinking the same. payday 3 is in that exact situation where people were excited on launch, tried it and realized it needed way more time in the oven. then they left. pd3 is actually in a pretty decent state now. but the players arent coming back.. but everyone loves a good comeback story. i hope we'll see some more of those..
I know the game is total fucking dogshit and a full priced game but it's okay it might become good in 2 years or 3 :)
Optimists like you are whats wrong with today's gamers. Happy to be fed the most rotten of shit and letting people take your money while they shit down your throat and EVENTUALLY give out the game they promised people back when they announced it.
Isnt NMRiH 2 works on unreal engine?
How dare you force yourself into my home and sit on my face
No wayyyy ive been waiting for this game to come out 😢
the one which makes you cry the most
Does this have Zombie sharks?
Nope
Crawling zombie in sewer
CDDA/CBN have zombie sharks, tho
It's still VERY RAW, but I like the concept of the game, it has potential.
Like most source mods/games, love was put in, timeless, and can be enjoy at anytime. Source community is still as creatively and wacky as ever.
Well to be fair they were already using half life 1 engine (Like cry of fear did), while the new one is more from the ground up. Working on a big project like this will probably take time to get just right

Where’s my god damn Suicide button, Bruce?!
This could be one of the greatest games of all ,time will tell.
Funny is the first one is free and second we need buy for "support" then
I played the 2nd game and it was good may have some bugs but they will fix it. It just takes time.
how many f times do the modern games fail to implement water physics
NMRiH2 zombies look like blue skinned regular humans bruh
It’s in a rough state, really hoping them improve it because I do want to try the game out. I loved NMRIH.
Idk if its just me i swear it went from its own to into a B4B clone. I think its the just graphics to me personally but idk.
I still have hopes for NMIH2 updates down the coming months or even years sure it could be a lot better when released for sure, but NMRIH1 it is still an amazing masterpiece and I will play it always. I’ll support the idea of NMRIH2 so that it can become a better game later on.
I seriously can’t believe that they turned an amazing L4D esque game into the most generic extraction shooter.
2 is in very early access…BUT that does not excuse a single goddamn thing
More like water effects.
5:56 I hate how long it takes to reload this gun the first time
No more room in hell 2? More Like No More Room in Alpha
Lots of improvements, but sadly lots of simplifications made to the NMRiH’s base mechanics. Fortunately this game’s still quite fresh, let’s just hope they add things on the way
Im not going to watch this untill the game is out of early access LMAO!
honestly i wished they stay n the first game and just adding a little more of weapons and maps instead of going too far
They did the rockstar remaster
NMRiH 2 looks and feels like straight liquid ass.
the orignal seems better in every way in my opinion. part 2 seems to be dumb down to target larger player base. long live NMRIH Original
1st game is better. Thank you for watching
give the game a year or two and it'll probably be a solid zombie game
it's no where near 1.0 yet !
probably won't be better, but at the very least on par
The difference of the source engine was what gave life to the 1,unreal engine a equals back 4 bloo
I know the game's still in EA, hopefully they improve their animations & back to hardcore root like the first one (?) not like the casual version of nmrih, but idk let's see I never preordered games anyway. Also, I wanna see Zombie kids lmao, they're the most fun & chaotic addition from the first game.
Why is it not on source 2
The source engine wins again baby
3:02 developer played tarkov
No puedo creer que estaba entre ese y dead island 2, de la que me salvé
Jesus christ, why's everyone hating the new sequel of the game lol
Because it was in development for around 10 or so years and came out with only barebones mechanics and none of what made the original fun/unique?
So is there no traditional infection in the early access?
First of all, it's way too early for a comparison and second, I don't even have to watch it to give a proper answer! How can you compare a 2011 game with source engine to 2024 one with UE 4 ??? The clear winner is under development! x)
it reminded me l4d and b4b situation
It's only released for few days, if they will listen to the players, this game will get better than now
Yeah? Actually, NMRIH 2 has been developed over 10 years, and the release date was delayed 3 times... so it could be a better game... and important point is the change of developers..
Shut up.
Isn’t this game still in like early access or something like that?
