- In today's video, I'll be building a custom Jazzmaster HH Guitar, with inspiration from a Fender Blacktop Jaguar offset guitar.
I'll build the jazzmaster with a Squier Deluxe Jazzmaster candy apple red body, Epiphone les paul humbuckers, 1999 Squier Stratocaster neck and a wiring loom from James' home of tone.
Lets see how the jazzmaster turns out, I guess its a cheaper alternative to a Squier Jagmaster which have recently jumped up to over £400 now!
Big thank you to Neil 'Cosh' for selling me the Squier deluxe jazzmaster body and extra guitar parts!

Man, i got to build a Jazzmaster. I've been wanting to build a jaguar forever, though. Maybe I'll have both one day!😊
Thanks for sharing your videos with us, it's much appreciated! Rock on, bro!🤘
Yes both and a Jagmaster 🤣🤣 no worries at all 🎸🤘😎💯
Oh damn she is looking sweet !!love the black and red combo, was never a red fan, but with all the chrome it looks great. I have the 25th anniversary Harley Benton jazz master with the hard tail setup fast becoming a fav guitar of mine.
Candy apple red always pops 👌 them Harley Benton Jazzmasters are nice, I need to try the latest version.
That Jazzmaster looks and sounds so good. You did a great job
Yeah she looks great, needs a few more tweaks. Thank you very much 🤘
Darn, you did better than I expected
Did he 🤣
By the way Rob we use to do conversing .im'mmmmback. Good to see you back.
Thanks bro 👌💯
Nice job.
Bridge position in particular sounds great with the distortion 👌
Thank you, needs a little more tinkering with 😄
Yeah the bridge with distortion really opened it up 👌
Your Built reminds me of Lee Ranaldo's Jazzblaster with the two cover humbuckers and no rhythm circuit. Sweet guitar!!
Yes love his jazzblaster 👌
thanks, i needed to know how to wire my HH jaguar and this helped me a lot. beautiful jazzmaster btw
Awesome, glad the video helped, thanks 😎🤘
Pretty darn cool.
It's getting there 👌
Sounds superb 👌🏻 well done 👏
Thanks 🤘😃
When I watch you demo the guitars at the end there’s this band from Australa that are still going but where around in the 90s I think you’d enjoy . Check magic dirt and a song called redhead you’d love the main riff
Awesome I'll check them out 🤘🎸
That looks great! Me being primarily a Les Paul player I love the Humbuckers and hardtail! The red, black and chrome! That red is shiny awesome! Tweak a bit-get some 9's on it and rock out! The only thing I would do different is top wrap the strings. MotorFNhead!!🤘
She's turned out great candy apple red always pops 👌
Definitely more beef with the Gibson setup 👌
@@theguitarmanifesto ...and the Robster neck rocks onward!!

This is a great video mate, really enjoyed it. She looks great!! I thought she sounded pretty good to be honest 👍🏻
Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Oh she still sounded great 🤣👌
Badass! Cheers.
Heck yeah 🤘😎
Hey mate hope alls good loving the channel . I’m a sparky by trade and I’ve done a few mods more pick up changes not so much neck adjustments. Any way I recently put fender jay mascis pick ups in a jay mascis jazzmaster and when testing before the strings went on there was more humm or buzz than usual but as soon as I put the strings on it went away I’m assuming the strings earthed the tremolo or some other component. This video reminded me of this . I hope you are doin great jazzmasters and nirvana forever
I'm all good thank you!
To be honest I rarely come across that, could be a lack of grounding wires hard to say. I wouldn't worry if it's fine with strings on 💯👌
@@theguitarmanifesto i think i had one years ago and same as soon as strings went on all good
It's probably the covers dude. If they are made from brass it will totally kill the tone. Could also be the pot values. Hell, it could be anything 😂. I have to say the jazzmaster looks awesome, great job 🎸🎸🎸
A mixture of both, I've put a new wiring loom now with 500k pots and a more suited capacitor. It's a beast now 👍
Right on dude!
dig the vibe of the guitar man
Awesome thank you 🤘👌
That is a beauty. Great colour combo. I really want to fit humbuckers to my VM Jazzmaster. I did buy some adapter pickup surrounds for it. Any tips for fitting humbuckers to a Jazzmaster 🎸🎵
She turned out looking great 👌 easy enough transplant, I'm guessing ditching the rhythm circuit? I've made a few videos modding Jagmasters which is the same HH setup. Check em out
@theguitarmanifesto thanking you. I'll go check them out. I may try and find a HH pickguard for it. Then I'll just removed the pickguard and leave the original electronics on it as they're all a bit crackly.
Try turning the pots up and down really quick, that usually sorts out the crackling, same with the switches etc.
Cosh said that was a earpliamz HH Jazzmaster pickguard .
