The ONLY reason they’re poor is because they face the most crippling sanctions in the world. Iran is highly educated with 60% of PHd students being women and has historically been a very wealthy land and empire.
The location has nothing to do with its misfortune. Historically and present.

True. But Alexander (and the Seleucids) really is an exception. No modern army has been able to keep its claws in places like Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, or Vietnam. And Netty thinks he can defeat this one? The stupidity and hubris is shocking. They'll pour molten gold down his throat like they did with General Crassus.

Fun fact : In extreme hot temperature like deserts in iran, u want to put on "warm" cloths much like extreme cold conditions, so u can prevent exchanging any heat with environment and exposure of skin to sun.
Sun rays is so intense that even slight exposure will burn ur skin, while locals skin have some level of immunity to it, an potential invading force from west will have a very hard time traversing the deserts.

He's also saying the Iranian people will fight against the invaders. That's simply false. The Iranian regime does not have popular support. In fact, Iranians hate the current regime and they would most likely team up with the invaders if the invaders were only interested in regime change and not, as you noticed, occupation.

These Iranians are highly educated people and they are turning away from Islam in record numbers. The Iranian youth want Western civilization and prosperity. One need only look how they dress and act. Just look at the 20-40 years old in downtown Tehran today. Compare them to the people walking around in downtown Tikrit when Sadam Hussein was in charge. Apples and oranges.

Dust storms are a real thing that is quite an experience. While headed to San Diego for my son's graduation from Marine boot camp, I got caught in one just south of Phoenix years ago. So bad that all I could do was get off the interstate and get a hotel room and wait it out. Thankfully hotels and other buildings in the area are equipped for filtering the air when these happen. Just another surprise expense that trip. Cannot imagine living with that as a common occurrence.

what people forget about Alexander the great is he only became the great after defeating the persians and claimnig himself as a persian king . he died in persia and became more persian than persians . All his greek generals took in persian culture and the persian system to life and government . Persians were there 2000yrs before the greeks were even invented.
mongols took so much persian culture and it can still be seen as today
The turks took everything persian and claim history started when they came into the picture of world history.
The Arabs dispise the fact there language comes from persian science . They showed them how to live a different way .The persians did more for islam than any other people . The only reason the Persians lost was because they had so many traitors switching sides and showing the enemie the way forward.
ww2 russia invaded the north and england invaded the south and took the persian railway to move american weapons to russia for the war and stole persian oil to run the war machine and make sure nazi germany didnt get a drop of oil. Russia raped and killed many people in tabriz and other norther cities . England shut down so many farms and food production dropped 80% and a massive starvation happened .
Iran i believe is the strongest country in the middle east and someway or another the sun will rise on Persia and they will regain superpower status in the modern world. They are the kind of people that never forget who did them dirty and who was there for them when no one else was. The world is changing .

Then look up the WWI stuff, too. The Great Game narrative is supposed to be for Iranians themselves to be reminded of (literally according to the government), rather than for non-Iranians to need to be reminded of it, though. Yes, it's strange that this channel has (according to you) taken the Iranian government's messages to Iranians, and parroted them to non-Iranians, because there's no need to do so at all. However, he has probably made an honest mistake. Iran was never really secluded from the "Western" world. The government only has a different message to its own people because the Westerners and Easterners are descended from different [great-]grandparents, who had different incentives to do different things, but were not intrinsically evil (duh), and they have kids who have some sort of cultural homogeneity and share a coherent perspective. It's not that they're spreading a conspiracy theory. It is only possible for multiple nations to establish diplomacy if they have this type of perspective which can be traced back in time. There is a reason why Israel calls the authorities in Iran before launching their missiles, to inform them exactly what their targets are. The nation-state "paradigm" was a dark age when there was really no real state, being a nation-state was a last resort which nobody chose, and then when Rome "created a monopoly on" having a state, it resulted in way too many things being a reference to Rome, like during WWI. People had no choice.

Moreover, the southern sea border encompasses an area known by different names, and it extends inland, sometimes for more than a kilometer, as intertidal mudflats, also referred to as muddy tidal flats or quick mud. The difficult part to follow the story is that the lines between the gulf and staging would allow for buildup of resources. I do agree that gorilla warfare will be effective, though claiming certain things would hinder difficulty is a bit narrow sighted on a holistic military approach. I do not want to see war, though being accurate from a multifaceted approach should be done, especially in such an explosive topic

I'm Persian. We will fight and die to protect Iran, but many of us will not fight and die to protect Khamenei so it really depends on what the invaders objectives are. If it is to occupy Iran, all Iranians will fight, if it is to topple Khamenei and IRGC to change the regime, only Shia militants will fight, and many will likely join up with the invaders.
It's a well-known saying that a country that has lost the support of its people, will not likely be able to succeed in war.
A famous Iranian cleric, Mohammad Taghi Akbarnejad, said just that during a recently publicized conversation.
In the last presidential election in Iran, nearly 80% of the population refused to vote in protest of Khamenei, because everyone knew the election would not be legitimate.
You can always see how comfortable the current regime is with the population based on the number of executions, and this past year there have been an extremely high number of executions, mainly for civil disobedience and being critical of the regime. Then you have morality police literally beating to death teenage girls and there are even rumors that they are also using grape. The people are very angry.
Me and my family live in the USA. If I was in Iran, or if my family was in Iran, I wouldn't dare to say this out of fear of death. People don't understand Persians. We are very educated and very smart and we want western freedoms and prosperity, and we are tired of our money being wasted away on foreign wars that mean nothing to us. Israel has never done anything to Iran yet Iranian regime is dedicated and has been dedicated to the annihilation of Israel since the Islamists stole the country.

I think it’s just cause now that humans have much easier ways to fight against each other like missiles and bombs, we look at the logistics like they’re impossible. In reality all it would take is conditioned and trained soldiers to invade on ground.

The USA or Israel wouldn’t have to deal with this problem. They could cripple their air and sea defences, gain air and sea superiority, and use bombardments to clear out an area they choose to drop in equipment to quickly erect a base, vehicles, troops, and engineers. One they establish themselves in a drop point, they build an airfield if they didn’t choose a drop point that has one already. Then it is game over because they now not only have air and sea superiority over the region, they have air defence, artillery, and rocket sites on the ground. There would be nothing Iran could do to stop this.

The REASON why? Any western country cannot help itself but try to "nation build" and that is ALWAYS our downfall. It's baked into our DNA, due to all the Imperialism that used to be practiced.

The biggest factor about Iran is the regime does NOT have public support. It's not like North Korea, where people have been brainwashed over several generations into believing their 'supreme leader' doesn't even need to use the bathroom. Iran is totally different. The majority of younger Iranians and women don't support the current regime. They want Western freedoms, they want to wear jeans and listen to rock music, they are fed up of the repressive regime. It's highly likely this group would join forces with any invading force if they thought it would result in the freedoms they yearn for. The Iranian regime is also very hostile towards the LGBTQ community as well. You've only got to glance back to the 2011 Arab spring uprising to see what happens to regimes that don't have public support.
