    How can you shift a mindset? This is one of the few countries in Europe I’ve noticed that not only dislikes technology but also takes pride in maintaining methods from 30 years ago. Additionally, taking risks is viewed negatively, and they tend to avoid it altogether.

      100% agree. Older generations are too proud to the point they are borderline arrogant to admit they make mistakes too. I currently work in a setting where they implement an "Uhralt" rules that doesnt really match with the technology that they have right now. And if you try not to follow it (because it doesn't make sense at all to follow it), you'll get called out and scolded. And if you try to explain and make an agument, you'll just accept defeat if they say "they've always done it for a very long time, it worked and there's no need to change that now." It's really embarassing and frustrating so you just kind of go with the flow to have your peace.

      @ sadly the engineers don’t have the power to decide. It’s the overtop Head of this machinery, who take all the decisions… and they are so intelligent as a Larve of a fruit fly 🪰. If you don’t believe me, just take a look to the diesel-gate. Instead of putting those engineers to work and redefine the future of the cars, they put all those brains to design a car who can fool everyone. Germany has to fall… dinosaurs don’t last long on this earth.

    I moved here 8 years back and a significant amount of basic research in computer science in medical imaging was going on and there was a lot of investment. Unfortunately it never translated into real world with a lot of initiatives just dying out.
    I moved here from France and I noticed the huge discrepancy in basic things like accepting credit cards or the network coverage or the kinds of mobile phone plans that were available. Everything looked ancient compared to France. There is a lot of potential in digitalization within Germany, but because of a lack of forward-thinking leadership within Germany has really hurt country.
    And it is getting exacerbated by the fact that everybody thinks only about migrants and not about building opportunities for startups or innovation.

    Honestly, it’s hard to be hopeful about Germany. From a policy POV, change takes such an incredibly long time. Culturally, the situation is even more hopeless. They pride themselves on being very resistant to change and innovation and they have intelligent-sounding reasons for that. Intelligent as it may sound , fearing change leads to a declining economy and society.

    30 year ago I moved from Canada to Germany as a software developer. Boy do I now regret it severely. Germany has become a dinosaur. This risk averse mindset is rooted very deeply here. Even their automotive industry is now in serious decline. Germans showed just how idiotic they were when they shut down their nuclear power stations right in the midst of an energy crisis. No amount of AI is going to change the mess Germany put themselves into.

    • @kinngrimm
      @kinngrimm หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      The nuclear energy exit was decided due to the melt down in Japan, quite a while before the energy crisis. Looking at investments and price developments in the energy sector this was still the right thing to do even though many seem not realise it yet.
      As germanys economy is not based just on a few huge companies but as long as i can think on supporting small to mid sized companies, it might be regretable when some of the behemoths of german economy go down under, but it wont be the end of german economy. I would go even so far they had it comming, getting themselves extinct because they kept certain technologies at bay. One of the biggest issues i still see and not just in germany is the influence of lobbyists, especially those from oil/petro chem and automotiv as they often enough don't want to inovate but churn out units without having to invest into innovation. That mentatility is bases of what you call dinosaurs and i don't mind them getting hit by an astroid.
      As a software developer myself, i see our branch still florishing here as much still needs to be done, the job though is quite different depending where and for whom you end up working for. Saying Germany has become a dinosaur might be your opinion, but is hardly factual. There are ups and downs for all nations in a range of areas and often development is not linear.

    I live in Germany and have done for close to a decade. I also own a tech company based in UK & working with people worldwide, employ people, invest in AI services etc (although AI is not our main source of revenue).
    Honestly - AI has zero change of propping up Germany's economy. Zero. I laughed when i saw this title pop up. If anything it will take from it. For a start nobody would ever base a tech company here. Restrictions are insane and mindset on data just gets in the way of even basic solutions (like even sharing data between doctors on different floors of a hospital is a problem). US and China will rule the AI race - 100%.
    There's a lot of enthusiastic people in Berlin in the tech scene but very little of substance there. Germany is largely a nation of digital grannies, too paranoid to implement change. Not to say they don't do a lot of things right here ...they do. But tech and tech talent is all largerly imported and I don't see that changing. Literally a decade behind in everything to do with tech here. It's like visiting a museum living here.
    All they will do here is blow a load of taxes on trying to skill up a non-digital workforce through traditional qualifications. That simply won't work.

    Too many Germans do not have the mindset to grasp AI and how to integrate advanced AI into industrial processes. One problem will be the resistance to allow AI and advanced robotics to revolutionize the labor market to avoid the social shock waves. But any reluctance and hesitation to accept the transformational pain will make thing only worse. Complacency and immunity to change will break the spine of Germany's manufacturing industry. The most important factors to be a winner in the age of AI are risk taking willingness and speed, speed, speed. Both factors are not the strength of Germans and there is very little time left to adjust before the manufacturing industry in Germany will crumble. The main focus of this video to art is completely pointless.

    Most people don't realize that these technologies are NOT Artificial Intelligence. Instead, they're algorithms that learn from data, which will enable another level of automation, leading to increased productivity, accompanied by inevitable disruption to jobs. As such, there are literally hundreds of useful applications, including in Graphic Design, but automating the creative artistic process, by mimicking existing examples isn't one of them! 👎

    THE ONLY thing that will save Germany's economy, is the same thing that saved China's economy back in the 80s and the same thing that saved the U. S. economy back in 2009 which was QE2, which is to say that Germany will also soon have to accept the reality of what I call the Equity Spending (ES) process that also serves as an explanatory narrative on quantitative easing (QE) and/or deficit spending. This is to say that Germany, as well as every other sovereign nation, will soon have to accept the fact that Germany can also electronically generate their currency/monies in order to meet federal expenditures without any real negative consequences, and without the need to have even one cent of federal tax revenue $s being involved which ES reality/process is exactly how the U. S. and China meet federal expenditures.
    My full name is Oscar Dean Windham, and I am the most censored, the most suppressed scrivener/author in the entire world because I comment publicly about the fact that we, here in the U. S., do indeed now routinely electronically generate we the peoples' $s in order to keep our federal government's lights on, so to speak.

      "without any negative effects", tell the poor people that who struggle with cost of living and wage inflation keeping no where near. Typical wanna be economist....

    • @oscarwindham6016
      @oscarwindham6016 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@devilsolution9781 Just so you know, being an economics professional is about the creation of $s/wealth whereas being a financial expert is about the management of that wealth, and while I am neither, but instead I am a scrivener/author who has been studying this new/old federal financial paradigm called quantitative easing (QE) and/or deficit spending, or what I more appropriately, in my opinion, call the reality of the Equity Spending (ES) process, and with these many years of study, I have become an expert on the process of electronically generating $s which process is not "formally" taught in any college or university anywhere in the world. We are in fact talking about virgin waters that have never before been navigated by the masses, but instead, for the last 6,000 years, mol, this creation of money "from the zero source" has always been the exclusive domain of the few elitists that have always been in control of this information. Currently, out of the approximately 8 billion people we have on this planet, the number of individuals fluent in this subject is in the hundreds or at most the thousands which is why so many, such as yourself, are so woefully misinformed, and these people are doing everything possible to keep the masses from becoming knowledgeable about what I call the reality of the Equity Spending process. As for inflation, look up the Office of Price Administration (OPA) system of price controls that was very effectively used, here in the U. S. back during WW2 when it came to being able to tamp down the inflation causing greed/avarice of corporate America of that era. Despite the great success of the OPA system of price controls, it was done away with shortly after the war by that era's corrupt, incompetent Congress, just like we have today, over the objections of President Truman. As for government spending causing inflation by increasing the "money supply", that is just another lie that is very easily proven to be a lie by common sense and simple logic. It goes like this; the money supply is increased every second of every day, 365 days a year every time there is a financial transaction that involved a profit which obviously means that the money supply is continuously being increased by the TRILLIONS every day, automatically, and it then becomes obvious that government spending, even excessive government spending is really just a drop in the bucket, so to speak, when it comes to increasing the money supply and it has nothing to do with inflation, other that being the trigger for the greed/avarice of the now global conglomerate "Big Corporate Business" entities which includes Big Oil. Anyway, you need to wise up a bit, and a good starting point would be for you to watch video (9) on the TH-cam channel - Equity Spending - that is not my channel, but these nine videos are, and video (9) will dispel a lot of your misconceptions about the cause for inflation and the like. Finally, still think I'm an economist wanna be?
