Its amazing how Sam actually showed knowledge. And the moment there is something about Chelsea in the questions its like every braincell he has dies instantly.
I’m convinced that if they turned off his mic when Chelsea came on then his whole reputation would be different. He actually has a lot of good takes when they don’t involve his own team.
@@sethbrand9009No he doesn’t, he’s an absolute brain dead clown.
He’s dumb…with Chelsea stuff
But he's completely right about Drogba? Drogba has a better season in 09/10 than either of the other 2 thus had a better prime which was the question. If Drogba played for United and had the same career, he would be ranked easily top 5 in prem history
Couldn’t agree more. He is the most biased of the lot. Of course you’re gonna have some sort of bias, but i think the others are quite good at cutting it off at a point, except maybe dougie when Newcastle is in the conversation;) but Sam rambles soooooo much
Big shoutout to McCubs ever since the merger of the 2 channels. Has been popping off on every vid that he is in. Defo the leading candidate for the player of the season award at Football Daily currently!
Having a discussion with Sam on anything to do with Chelsea is completely pointless. Ty from AFTV levels of delusion.
I get it’s a bit of a character but it’s starting to become dry
Don't forget Rory Jennings levels of delusion - seems to be a Chelsea fan trait 😂
Definitely, not sure how old he is either but I'd question if he was actually old enough to understand football properly when Drogba played 😂
I feel the same way ab Joe tbh. Absolutely delusional United fan
@@punados867 sorry mate but that's absolute nonsense, joe is the other way, he gives the majority of united players shit because he knows he will end up on skysports
I got to agree with Mikey in the first one, Torres at his peak was a beast. It's a close battle with Van Persie though but I prefer Torres.
Very true! Torres was literally number 3 in the Ballon d'Or in 2008 behind Ronaldo and Messi. No contesto imo. (And arguing in favor of Drogba was bonkers 😂)
not taking the piss, but what peak?
Torres was at his peak for a very short period of time, slightly overrated in that aspect
Love that team talk has become a regular thing
@@xBenjamin18agreed. If anything i think among the 3, Torres is the most overrated and i will definitely sell him. Toss up between Drogba and Van Persie as they are pretty different players. I will personally start Van Persie because he is more capable of spectacular getting something out of nothing. In a desperate situation where maybe the opposition park the bus and u need a goal in the last 10 mins, I will put Drogba on as he is more capable bringing other players in and possibly scoring when the opp packs 11 players in their own box
Sam will predict Chelsea to win the league this season if he gets a chance
Man would choose Chelsea to win last season if he could
You're discussion on players primes and how long they lasted vs how high the peak was has me thinking. An interesting variation on Start/Bench/Sell that could be fun is Game/Season/Career. Which player would you want to play for your team for a single game/final, for a whole season, and a whole career. (Here's my take: Drogba for a final, Torres for a season, and RVP for a career.)
@@xBenjamin18he said which player would you want to play for your team for a career, not which player HAD the better career
Game/season/career is a great shout
Drogba for career, consistent team player and no major injuries.
@@titofernandez1500not taking drogba for finals is so wrong
Team talk is undoubtedly my favourite Football show on YT Keep the great work lads 🙂
As long as there's no sam
Torres peak was the highest, regardless of careers etc, he just simply was the best striker in the world at his peak. Mikey the only one to understand the question
Suarez was 3 seasons, not 2. His last season at Liverpool, treble at Barca, then the 60 goals.
Torres was nominated for the Ballon d'Or in 2008, he came in THIRD behind Ronaldo and Messi. Come on guys that was a no brainer! Love the other 2 but no contest
It is close tho, drogba in 09/10 was immense and van persie in 2012 also.
As obnoxious as it is sometimes, I have to applaud Sam's often delusional positivity for Chelsea. Not many fans stay as positive for their clubs as he does when they go through such turbulation.
Agreed. He's not nearly as delusional as a lot of people make him out to be. People forget how lethal Drogba was in his prime. No one wanted to face him.
Nah Sam’s absolute Chelsea delusion is starting to annoy me now.
Agreed that why he came last though 😂
Bottom just for saying season 09 / 010
@@MjP. bottom for having deluded opinions
Ruins show
I see Sam on a video and immediately skip
He’s done very respectable job at Utd so far. Top 3 and a cup in his first season is arguably as good as he could’ve done. His signings are up for debate though…only time will tell with them
Jose was better. But at that time, fans wants Mourinho out. Ten Hag never was and never will be on JM level.
Explain what’s respectable about getting us slapped 7-0 by Liverpool, 4-1 by Watford, 5-1 against City and having a goal difference against Brighton of 10-2 in 4 games.
@@lnfusedLol Watford game was managed by OLE. Champions league qualification was the goal. Look where Brighton and Liverpool playing - in Europa league
With no Striker last season as well…all other top 4 had top Strikers.
We need to sort out ownership situation and club structure…Ten Hag needs the backing
@@FOOTIATOR My mistake. Was it Ole when Ten Hag got us slapped 4-0 by Brentford and was it Ole who let City put 6 past us? All while letting them win a treble? Who was that then.
this Torres man won everything just not PL and at his Peak the best N 9 in the world just because he didnt win PL they put him 3rd im not even Liverpool fan just watching Torres growing up was magical
He was only elite for a couple of years though, dropped off massively when he joined Chelsea
@@xBenjamin18 yeah but the question was peak form not the entire career
Drogba is only eulogised thanks to nostalgia and his record in finals, he’s got a worse goals to game ratio than Lukaku and that guy’s a) not been in the Prem for as long and b) memed on aggressively
Torres' PEAK is clear of RVP and Drogba is easily last of these three. Fernando made class defenders look silly. Also the question isn't around cups/medals its about who was better!
Torres had pace which made him deadly, compared to RVP who didn’t have that pace so had to be more clever and overall a better footballer
@@xBenjamin18 Robin couldn’t finish the way Torres could, his right foot was basically there for decoration
@@testadalord01432 RvP is the only player in PL history to score 37+ goals with each foot. Source: OptaJoe.
@@testadalord01432what Torress better finisher? He missed open nets RVP has better finishing and scoring better goals.
When people say "most non-penalty goals by a midfeilder" Dele Ali scored 17 no penalty goals in 16-17. Does he not exist cause he hasn't played well in a while?
they might be considering dele as a second striker
Joe’s face when Sam said Brighton would finish above Liverpool 😂
Zac loving the debate so much he has to put his thing down and continue hosting
Ten Haag has done a good job, imagine any other manager coming into United with the Glazers in charge with soo many under performers
You guys really need to have a Liverpool representative on these shows cuz all I hear is opinions from other fans I’d so wanna be on wanna these debates and present my case about Liverpool in these debates because I feel Liverpool don’t get talked about enough, I feel like Chelsea and Man Utd only get spoken about cuz there’s Chelsea and Utd fans in the video.
Best show on FD atm with Sunday vibes, so entertaining
26:20 is going to age like wine or milk for Dougie as well as everyone else lol especially for Joe saying they're the best team in the nation which is a *bold* claim
Joe makes an appearance, he will probably swerve all the shows for this week when they get pumped by bayern.
Thanks for the upload guys. Much appreciated. So happy to see this. Love it ❤
Team Talk is the best show on FB daily..... Honestly I feel like you guys are much more knowledgeable about footballer than most other youtubers. Since you guys know football as well as your numbers❤❤❤❤
Torres at his prime would beat all 3… pace, dribbling and finishing all still while being physically dominant on the ball
Entire argument against him is based on trophy winning. Isn’t that more down to the squad and investment
Torres at his peak would be a dream signing for any of the other top teams
But Torres at his prime sold for prime money. It's not release, it's sell after all.
Shoutout to Mikey for possibly being the only person left who thinks we'll stay up! 🤣Brave shout after that Arsenal performance! Also spot on about Torres. The only striker that genuinely terrified me when he was at his best.
Everton will probably stay up. IMO they look better than they did last season and actually have some firepower upfornt. They just miss too many chances and concede too many goals, which will be balanced out over the course of the season. They are better than Bournemouth, Luton (I know the've lost but still), Sheffield United and Burnley. I am more confident of them staying up then I was last season. Their competition this year is deffinitely weaker
Torres was Def #1 if we’re talking at their PEAK
Bruno's best season where he was amazing, he scored 18 goals, 9 of them were pens! Ode last season got 15 non pen goals last year 🤷🏼♂️
One thing I despise about the Ten Hag debate is when people compare his process to Arteta forgetting that Arsenal was Arteta’s first job.
Their timeline’s cannot be compared
Arsenal squad Arteta took over was so much worse as well
@@jodaco3869And spent less than Burnley in his first window
arsenal squad was worse but the situation ten haag inherited was more difficult than anything arteta has experienced at arsenal
@@jose56789-bthe only thing different is that the board is not inline with the manager or club other than that player wise arsenal where in a worse position
I mean, United’s board/owners don’t even give a shit if he succeeds, happy with getting 4th every year. Hard to compete when your own club is basically against you
I know it’s what you’re all thinking… Comfortability is a word!
Definition: “Synonym of comfortableness (“the quality or state of being comfortable or relaxed”)”
What Torres did to prime vidic makes him such an under rated bauler
Defo the best or tied with RVP at their prime
Torres only had 3 good seasons
@@yowhaatsup its called prime for a reason
Here we go again, Torres scored something like 3 in 15 v Vidic. It’s a myth that Torres destroyed Vidic Every time
@@deenuk125a player's prime only lasts 2 seasons?
Underrated shout for Peps successor at City is Marcelo Gallardo. I also wouldn’t rule out Vincent Kompany
honestly appreciate sam’s positivity about chelsea a lot even if it is a bit delusional. much prefer it to the majority of the fan base who have been so impatient and expecting immediate success from a group of young players who have barely played together.
Sorry but Bruno's peak hasn't just been longer than odegaards, it's also been at a higher level.
"What were you doing in Thailand, man? 👀"
💀💀💀
I think people keep forgetting that over the first 40 games of their PL careers among ETH, Pep, Arteta, and Klopp, only Guardiola has ETH beat (with a 4-point margin).. He's doing an A+ job
Klopp had to play midfielders in defence thanks to injuries in his first 7 months, United are only missing Luke Shaw and Wan-Bissaka and they’re still trash rn
@@testadalord01432and Varane and malacia and not having Sancho and Antony or amrabat or mount
29:06 Joe's reaction to Sam's brighton take😂😂😂😂
Start - Van Persie
Bench - Torres
Sell - Drogba
I agree with what Joe is saying about Vam Persie. But when ever theres a Chelsea player in the mix Sam always always puts them above the rest not matter who is there. Could say its bias from him but i think its delusional
Bald man saying Benzema won CL single-handedly is Rory Jennings level of delusion. Bruh he was very good that season but Courtois made game-winning saves in QF, SF, and Final, and Rodrygo's super sub goals heroics were crucial to their CL triumph.
Drogba is the most disrespected man in football I swear down we talking peak seasons here
All comps
Drogba 09/10
44 games 37 goals 16 assists EPL and FA cup double
RVP 11/12
48 games 37 goals 13 assists no trophies
Torres 07/08
46 games 33 goals 5 assists no trophies
Best goal to game ratio equal best goals overall and most assists and was the only guy to win a trophy in his best statistical season winning the golden boot and scoring a winner in a cup final. Give me facts to say Torres and RVP had a better peak season without scraping the bottom of the barrel 😂😂😂
Torres was top 3 in Ballon d’or behind Ronaldo and Messi during his peak he’s the better all round striker
Better all round striker? Torres may have had the slightly better peak but no way was he a better all rounder than RVP
I would love to see De Zerbi at Dortmund. I believe he can get BVB back to their glory days like under klopp
Brighton would never let him go
Should start doing a poll so we can vote on who had the best opinions
Sam’s ability to drop down levels in debating skills when Chelsea are involved is startling
You ask for Pep Guardiola and the Glazer say we have Pep Guardiola at home. That's Eric Ten Hag.
People are just blindly saying “Liverpool defensively are weak”, but they are currently tied for 2nd least goals against at 4. That’s one behind city. Stop yapping about an idea that is only on social media
Torres at his peak was the best striker in the world. Finished behind only Messi and Ronaldo in the balon dor in 2008. The Chelsea fan picked Drogba and the United fan picked van persie. Defo some bias in there
5:55
RVP in 2011/12 his last season as Arsenal: 48 games 37 goals and 13 assists all comps
Drogba in 09/10: 44 games 37 goals and 16 assists
I don't think there's much to choose between them. But reducing who was the best to tiny statistical margins like 35 vs 36 goals for example is peak stupidity. Football is way more complex than that. Like if RVP had scored 2 extra goals in a 5-0 win over Norwich would have suddenly be a better player than Drogba?
@@bengreenbank my comment was directed towards the question about stats on goal contributions
Before I watch it, thanks guys I bloody love these. They look so much fun. Big love
Zac and Sam have a bad reputation because they are incapable of speaking about Chelsea objectively and without bias
Torres at his peak was a better all around striker.
The only answer to the first question is Torres, RVP, Drogba. Peak Torres was literally unstoppable
Sam’s Ten Hag take was really well put.
Love this show, but if you're gonna have Sam on here please don't have any questions that involve Chelsea and/or Chelsea players, his bias is annoying
Mccubbin is the best analyst at FD. Yes, better than Pat.
The fact that Sam has a job on a football channel should make everyone realise their dreams are achievable
28:05 that was perfectly delivered and very funny joke, props to you sir
The idea that the job Ten Hag had to do can be compared to any other job in world football is a laugh btw. He came into a squad that needed a complete rebuild, with several huge controversies from the players to the owners and is in the most scrutinised job ever and is now having to deal with 12 injuries/absent players, a ruined dressing room and incompetence on every level from the club. The fact he even get Champions league football, never mind a trophy, is incredibly impressive to me.
Don't get me wrong, he's not been perfect, but given the job he had to do, I think hes done fantastic.
People dont watch full football matches, especially the internet addicts. Look at the stats and look at the games, united are already the best counterpressing team in the world since Jan 2023. Their problem is their press during settled posession and also their personnel not being upto mark. For example, Casemiro who was one of their best player last season, has been their worst player this season. But hey, he scored 2 goals against bayern so internet addicts wont care about that. United is on upward trajectory, almost all their underlying stats are better than even their prime years under Ole and Mourinho, and its still just 1 season into his tenure. It took Klopp, 1.5 season to get here, Arteta 2 seasons to get to this level, I am actually really impressed by Ten Hag so far. If the board listens to interner fan opinions and sack Ten Hag as well, I promise you United will not get another manager of this level for quite some time
Ten Hag is doing a GREAT job avoiding getting sacked.
Drogba could barely score 20 league goals. All this chat about big game player. Yes he was. But he didn't turn up for most other games. Sam's on copium.
I’m actually so convinced that Sam doesn’t actually know what he’s gonna say before he starts talking. His sentences run on for miles and he just waterboards you with “you can’t deny”, “so your telling me”, and whatever else comes flying out lol
I’ll say it every week, Joe is 100% a secret Arsenal fan.
I must be going crazy because I think Fernándes as of now has shown a higher level compared to Odegaard. The numbers Bruno has shown since the start have been the best a midfielder has shown behind KDB. Maybe Odegaard can surpass him but right now I don’t see any numbers proving otherwise
Even Maddisons numbers blow Odegaard out the water
@@karabomafa5609 exactly
You guys need to fix the criteria for the questions! It has nothing to do with longevity and trophies, it's start bench sell, it's players at their best!
What’s Dougie’s issue with Liverpool? 😅

I don't understand why managers would even be convinced to join United.
put some respect on Torres name.
The disrespect to Torres man, he was third in the balon d or, won ever major title
I love this format, highlight of the week
Great intro Zack ❤
I think Spurs midfield has ok depth (Bentancour is a game changer if 100%), up top is looking better by the game, depth at the back IS DANGEROUS. CB options are very alarming. Dier is a a non-option.
nothing beats blind Chelsea bias/delusion from Sam and the comments crying out for Pat to be on Team Talk just to school him
The 1st question was... Who's the best player at their peak? Not the trophy they won. It's like these guys were babies when Torres was at his peak. Individually, Torres was a beast. He can dribble, play others in, and score incredible goals. I couldn't believe they actually compared Drogba to Torres.
Mcubin 100% right!
On Ten Hag, I think most of the criticisms of him are fair, the only one I disagree with is criticizing him on the money spent on a player. You can talk about the quality of player, but Eric isn't the guy at the negotiating table.
Ten Hag has done as good a job as possible with a broken and dysfunctional club. You don't chastise a guy with a broken car for not making it all the way to the destination
There are many problems with the club of course but to act as though he’s the perfect manager and has done as good as anyone else possible could, that is nuts to me. It was him who lost 7-0 to Liverpool and then didn’t bench a single player for the next game. He is the one who forced Ronaldo out the door, he’s the one who bullshits like he breathes, he’s broken around 10 negative Manchester United records in history this season and we’re only 5 games in. Can’t stand the bloke, fraud brought in to demand nothing from the Glazers as per his track record. He’s also pushed out all 3 top earners to save them money. Ronaldo 700k, De Gea 375k, now it’s Sancho 350k, after this it will be Casemiro. He has also replaced 23 sold players with 9. Most of which are absolutely lacklustre. He’s also a nonce obsessed with academy players which is also music to the Glazers’ ears. He’s the perfect signing for them. Demands nothing. Spends nothing. Not hard to see why he was picked by them. Sure as shit wasn’t winning the Dutch league and getting slapped in the Champions League by Spurs.
If that guy has the opportunity to replace a tyre and instead puts flames down the side then you can ask questions.
@@lnfused I'm not saying he's perfect. Far from it. But in a better environment his mistakes would not be exposed so quickly and would not have such grave effects
@@he_football Yeah that’s reasonable. The way I read it I was under the impression you thought he was the shining light being held back by everything else except himself.
@@lnfused He is a good manager no doubt. But imagine him at city and pep at united. They both make mistakes they're both human. But whose mistakes would shine brighter? Idk that's just the way I see it
These guys could be talking about anything & Sam would somehow find a way to make it a conversation about Chelsea.
My fav YT strand!
The Bruno fascination is real. He has put up crazy numbers but he also gives the ball away 8/10 times and goes missing in big games.
The numbers, as they say in the vid, are distorted because the guy takes every penalty, corner and freekick.
Btw, if he was a deadball specialist his numbers would be insane playing for a team like Utd
Fair play to Sam, normally I think he... doesnt come across well, this episode he really held his own
No manager can do much better. Not even Pep could do much better. The hierarchy at the top is almost against the manager. They dont really help much. I think if we could get better scouts, better acquisitions teams, and then a hierarchy that actually supports the manager and not the players, we'd do A LOT better. I look forward to the glazers selling.
Exactly that no point in changing managers when the base of the club is rotten
Drogba has the best trophy cabinet overall but played in a better team than the other two; Torres hit the highest career peak being a regular contributor to those dominant spain teams winning 3 tournaments in a row; RVP is the most talented by far of the 3 and had the highest individual performance peak; but has the least career achievements being in generally poorer teams aside from when he won United the title. I think based on their careers following very similar sorts of peaks and valleys; you can’t really separate them, it’s almost like they’re the same player in terms of their impacts on the history of world football. Personally RVP was my favorite to watch.
Torres has a better trophy cabinet than Drogba
I'm convinced mccubbin doesn't know what technical ability means. To say Bruno is not as technically sound as Bruno is insane
Take a chill pill, drogba only missed 6games in that 29goal'season. Van Persie only played 31+ games in 2seasons out of 20+seasons.
34:12 Sam's laugh is sending me 😭
Dougie listing Frank over Howe with respect to managers doing great jobs is very on brand 😂
whats going on with Messi Shirt, Everyone Wearing Them?
One question into the video and Sam already has his blue tinted glasses on😂 man said Drogba was the best because he played in the best team of the 3
seriously, Sam's inability to be unbiased is really annoying
He's done very well under the circumstances. Its the same start as last season and that was corrected.
The whole club has catastrophic problems in every single area, i believe only Pep or Jurgen would have the gravitas to straighten up the footballing front any better.
Trust me if they sack Ten Hag and beg De Zerbi to take the job it'll kill his reputation in under a season.
“City don’t hire hotheads”….. yes because Pep Guardiola is always so calm and collected on the touchline, never controversial at all 😂😂
Bruno is a good player , he is a creative machine , however I think he is part of the problem at united. I’ve seen him give up multiple times when games aren’t going his way and he his actions on the pitch are not those of a leader, quite the opposite actually.
Bruno is not part of the problem
29:00 “made six changes at old trafford and still battered you bro” 😂
Odegaard > Bruno > Maddison.
Only right answer
Nah either Bruno or Odegaard first is fine. Madisson is definitely a step below.
"Yeah, they wont sound flat in April" LOLLL
love these Vids!
People don’t realise how much not taking pens hinders your goal tally, drogba looses about 5 goals a season cos lampard took them and he still had that incredible goal scoring season
RVP had 109 G/A in 101 games from 09/10-11/12. Those are Haaland numbers in far worse teams and don’t even account for his all around impact.
If that stat is true that’s insane
“What were you doing over there??”
The cheeky smile 😂
