Loved what you did with the rear lights and license plate. Presently ride a triumph street triple and wanting that cafe racer look at a reasonable price so been eye balling the Royal Enfield
Nice work Joy and partner. I’d also recommend replacing the stock levers with reach adjustable ones - much nicer shape and they come in black. Tec Bike Parts ones have the right design to accomodate the clutch switch.
Glad to see you back Joy. Your bike looks awesome!!! I esp like the rear brake light, very nice..We just switched out the brake & clutch levers with black levers and a new exhaust system on ours.
Good to see the reassurance I can mount a center-stand. The salesman didn't know 4sure but at my first service the factory rep just happened to be visiting and he said it can be fit. I like to go sit on my old CX500 on the stand in a landing-area to watch the river go by leaning back on my carry-box with my feet up on the bars and would like to do the same with the GT. Then when it's time to leave I just fire 'er up, put it in gear and a little body-"English" takes me off the stand and I ride away. It's sort of a "signature" with me as well as the "flying dismount which keeps me on the left peg so I'm high-enough to clear the box with my right-leg. Then I'm right where I need to be to put it up on the stand. I'm loving the Enfield so-far. 3yrs unlimited-miles + the road-service speaks 2me of a company which has faith in what they're selling. When I got my unexpected financial windfall ( just precisely covering all costs including the sales-tax, first service, registration &c.) I got the last one in-stock late 2021 and saved a couple hundred$$ over the next allotment price. When I was told they had one I got it insured B4 I ever even saw the bike. I'm feeling really good about this decision. The folks at Gateway BMW have a nice "culture". Kudos to Royal Enfield! I like your mods---looks great! Keep it rubber-side down!
The bike looks and sounds great. Your elegant fix for the rear hoop that sticks out past the seat is the first thing I would do. I hate the way it looks from the factory. Super job on that! All the other mods look good as well. My only other thought is not to paint the wheels black. I think the silver matches the pipes really well and makes the bike look "lighter"...but I know lots of other folks would disagree as black wheels seem to be the popular choice these days. Anyway...hope you enjoy the bike and thanks for all your posts. Color me...Subscribed.
Very helpful. Have not received an answer from Germany yet. Can you explain what "Extension" Left or Right, or what they refer to as "Cultivation" means for the bar end turning lights? Thanks much.
No I don’t. It’s a GoPro Hero 7 Black with the mic adapter that I use to plug in a gaming mic. Use 3M Velcro to attach the mic adapter to the helmet. Hope this helps!
Very nice! I like your taste. I really like the rear end treatment and the turn signals. Creative and classy! As I've gotten older, I realized I needed to downsize my ride. I sold my VTX 1300, now I'm looking at lighter, more nimble bikes. I really do like the Conti GT, in BRG, so now I'm looking for one. Is there a place where you've documented your upgrades? Sure would appreciate it. Thanks.
Fellow GT 650 owner - I purchased the same side mount license plate bracket from Dime City but the mounting hole was much larger in diameter than the actual axle nut....how were you able to correct this? It looks like you have a custom nut adapter on the axle nut.
Nice! When putting higher flow pipes on a bike, I would definitely put a high flow D&A air filter on it as well; sure the pipes sound good, but why not get better throttle response and that wonderful intake sound as well? No need for flashing the ECU or anything, just put the new filter and bracket on, let the bike run from cold to warm running temp; approximately 15 minutes WITHOUT revving, then go for a gentle run and voilá; done! Just makes the in-breath be as efficient as the out-breath!
Great video. I just dropped my handlebars, same as you. The original config had a connecting piece between the grip mount and the triple tree. Did you use an extended connector between the grip mount and the triple tree? If not, have you had any issues with grips moving since moving lower?
Saw your first video on this Bike. Thanks for the update. I'm thinking of getting one of these. It looks great! Also, you've driven the bikes I've had! TU250x, Buell Lightning (I had xb9sx).

Isn’t the vertical license plate mount illegal? I love what you did by the way I got a Conti myself and about to do some mods to it in Massachusetts so I think the vertical license plate won’t be an option for me

You might be able to lower them more, it would require removing the upper triple tree. But they might end up being too low and the cables might not even allow them to be pushed down further. From what we’ve read, the ECM will adjust so we left the fuel map as is.
