  • Welp we made a spacer for more transfer timing and raised the exhaust port and widen it to 32mm not the conventional shape we tried something different this time. The piston window turned out pretty good that little gap can be fixed so easy not worried about it

    Usually younger "tuners" are atrocious to watch work on engines. This is amazing, knowledgeable, well explained video, very scientific methods. Keep it up

    I've never taken the fiberglass wrap off the magneto coil to see how well it's made/coated.....But had some clear 2 part epoxy laying around, so I coated over the wrap that's zip tied on & everywhere on the coil where moisture could get in. Made sure to coat the wire solder joints good, so they wouldn't corrode or break from vibration. Used a whole 25 cents worth of H ⚓ F epoxy. So it wasn't a waste of $$$
    I dunno how much it helped but it didn't hurt anything. I leave my bike outdoors 4 seasons under a tarp & the coil has been working since 2020.
    Not sure the average coil life span but have seen several people needing to replace them so....🤷‍♂️

      Wow man that’s actually great information might try it I was only going to do it on the backside to help it have metal to metal contact in the case itself

      @@keeganhache6667 Have you ever had any coils go bad after like 1 year ? I'm not sure the exact number but seen several videos & people on forums mentioning that their coil went bad after only 6 months or a yr. Then mention upgrading from the 3 wire to a 2 wire, etc...Saying the 3 wire is junk & that's why it only lasted 6 mos... I got the 3 wire coil & it's 3 yrs old so.....I rarely use my kill button, I heard that makes em go bad but dunno how much truth there is to it. Supposedly the kill switch shorts it out to stop the spark & makes heat but the coil is already hot from being mounted to the engine. 🤷‍♂️

      @@keeganhache6667 OH yeah had I been thinking I would have looked over the ignition coil/cdi box, to see how well it was sealed up & expoxy coat it, if it didn't look well sealed.

    Another TIP is small Boost port, and if you do a third transfer you can skirt the piston instead of cutting a hole in the piston, Ive had Great results , just something else to try on the next cylinder 👽👍🏻

    About the only main thing I seen in the 2 stroke tuners handbook of importance besides squish, was rounding the edges on ports with a file after porting 🆚 leaving everything having a sharp edge....So its smoother flowing, like on the piston window, u can round the edges of the window to direct flow into it. Same with ports, round ex port roof & sides. Many round the pistion skirt lip on intake side & round the intake floor so flow is going over a smooth curve & directed downward unti case instead of over a sharp edge. Same with porting the case they'll round down the sharp endge in the case where it's flowing up into the transfer ports. There's a few good moped case porting videos .

    • @keeganhache6667
      @keeganhache6667  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yup it’s always good to sand down edges after porting the cylinder

      @2strokecarbtuningportingin187 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Flow case porting is bum information your compressing gasses not liquid. If you have a step a impedance in the intake port yea that's helpful. Or a impedance in exhaust exit sure. Butt a step in a out flow say like tranfers to cyl your doing nothing but lowering crank case pressure wasting time and effort. You won't find a single video showing power gains factual power gains on case porting with the exception of a case Reed motor with a inflow impedance. Just stating proven facts

    Hey I like your videos, I just started watching. Can you take the cylinder to a machine shop and get the top shaved? At TDC the piston is waaaAAAy too low in the bore. At the same time I do not know what you run for fuel so keep compression in mind when doing so. Also if you end up in a situation where you have “too much” compression there is a product called VP Octanium and it works great and can be bought at Walmart and auto parts stores for 22 bucks, or even Summit Racing will send it to you, but do not use any other store bought octane booster as it does not work. Keep experimenting and keep learning!

      @@keeganhache6667 only doing NHRA prostock motorcycle engines. Kinda tired of them nowadays. Good job on making vids. Tip on window making you can drill your 4 corners and have perfect radius,s. Filter out the bum information in the comments. All that directional case port matching and angled comments are comical. Especially vids saying crank rotation. Case flow port matching. Super simple point people miss your compressing gasses not liquid. Keep doing exactly what your doing you'll find out first hand who's information is factual. I don't write great so don't take my responses wrong. Basically don't fall for bum information. A rough intake port better for atomizing the gas? Now that is the first time i have heard of that? Until learning about 2 strokes, i have always thought polishing the ports for smoother air flow was the way to go??

    • @keeganhache6667
      @keeganhache6667  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Nope only do that in the Exhaust this is not a fuel injected car engine the intake port needs to be textured

  • @passenger6735
    @passenger6735 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Surely for the low velocity gases you need a larger port to 'coax' the gases out, similar to valve size on a four stroke. With that in mind is your port upside down? I am not an engine tuner by the way.

    • @keeganhache6667
      @keeganhache6667  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      No see the issue on a 2 stroke motor is if there’s to much port area at low rpm’s the motor can’t flow the gases properly it’s like putting a 4inch exhaust on a Honda civic it can’t use the velocity you need a smaller port at low rpm
