- 🇹🇭 Thai Street Food in Bangkok: • Thai Street Food Tour!...
👕 T-shirts: store.migratio...
HONG KONG - Today we’re going on an ultimate Hong Kong street food tour to eat some of the best foods you don’t want to miss. From breakfast to beef brisket noodles to fiery razor clams, we’re eating the tastiest and most iconic street foods. Let’s go!
Huge thank you to Virginia for helping me arrange this Hong Kong food tour. Check out her videos @hongkongfoodtours and her food tours: humidwithachan...
Here's everything we did on this Hong Kong street food tour:
Sing Heung Yuen (maps.app.goo.g...) - This dai pong dong, or Hong Kong street food stall is famous for their tomato macaroni, and that’s exactly what we came to try. They also have a very unique story of how it became so popular.
Total price - 93 HKD ($11.89)
Sister Wah Beef Brisket (maps.app.goo.g...) - One of the great Hong Kong dishes to try is brisket noodles, and you’ll be just as passionate as everyone else when you taste them. Price - 110 HKD ($14.07) per bowl
Street Food Snacks - In addition to full Hong Kong meals on this ultimate street food tour, we also did a little rapid fire snacking on five of the must eat Hong Kong street foods.
1. Stinky tofu
2. Fried intestines
3. Pineapple bun
4. Curry fish balls
5. Egg waffle
Hing Kee Restaurant (maps.app.goo.g...) - If you love to eat claypot rice, you can’t miss Hing Kee, the most popular claypot rice in Hong Kong. It was an honor to get into the kitchen and see how they make 30 claypots of rice all at the same time with different ingredients and toppings. You also can’t miss their oyster omelets, which just about everyone orders.
Oi Man Dai Pai Dong - A Dai Pai Dong is a street food stall in Hong Kong and there are only a handful of them left. Oi Man Dai Pai Dong is perhaps the most well known of all street food stalls serving classic Hong Kong and Cantonese Chinese food. You’re in for some amazing wok hei and fiery dishes. I loved the black bean sauce razor clams and the fried potatoes and beef.
Total price - 445 HKD ($56.90)

Why you gotta do Sonny like that? We the people know the truth.
@@MrAlwaysRight and the truth being?
Sonny would actually probably appreciate this comment.
mark is wearing lipstick for you in this video!
I love Virginia's vibe, knowledge and enthusiasm. She describes flavors in a very complex way for a variety of dishes and I couldn't see a better match up than her and Mark for a Hong Kong series.

Virginia is AWESOME. She’s so energetic and knowledgeable. You had such a great, friendly dynamic together.
Another awesome, hunger inducing episode Mark! I've seen Virginia on with Sonny Side and a few other food You Tubers. She is so knowledgeable, has a ton of energy, and very pretty smile of course. You can tell she loves her job and that is so important in everyone's life. Thanks for having and filming her eat with you. On most of the other YT shows they don't show her much. You're a great guy Mark.
I love Virginia she's so down to earth just a great collaboration. Well done x
It's great to see Mark back to HK. Virginia already getting good business with all these food tour cast. I'm already marking down Sing Heung Yuen, Oi Man Sang, Hing Kee Claypot Rice, & Sister Wah Beef Brisket Noodles for my meals when I return to HK by the end of the year.
Virginia is a great guide - great compliment to Mark and Ying's video
I love Mark Wiens for his authenticity and his dedication to bring global food culture to us! Love every video!! Love how he eats sooooo much and still in shape. If only … i can be like that too! 😂
Thanks
Really awesome video and great collaboration with Virginia. I’ve been a fan of hers since she collaborated with Sonny. Love her personality. I hope one of these days I’ll be able to head back to Hong Kong and book a tour with her.
I just moved here to HK and I'm absolutely loving the food!!
Virginia is so knowledgable and eloquent. I definitely prefer this much slower pace content. :)

Great to see ya in HK. Always enjoy your videos. Hong Kong is one of my favorite cities in Asia after Bangkok. That donut burger looks epic!
Thank you very much!
Mark Wiens, been watching your videos for about two years and I enjoy them. I mostly watch them while I'm eating. You have a great personality.
Great video of the famous and delicious places to eat while in Hong Kong 🇭🇰… thank you Mark and your guide Virginia she was so knowledgeable and sweet… I hope to visit there one day.. my son lives in Thailand and I’m going to visit him this August and I think we will make a trip to Hong Kong.. thank you and safe travels 🙏🏼
Having lived in Hong Kong for many years the Dai Pai Dong food is still amongst the best you can get
curious will be travelling to hk and I see all the travel vlogs feature chopsticks , as a foreigner my skills arent great so do most spots have forks and spoon or should I just take a travel kit (which is fine cause I get locals are more accustomed to chopsticks maybe )
I got goosebumps when I saw you at the Central Rama IX store last Sunday doing VLOG. I'm the only one in my family who knows you and I try to explain to my family what an incredible person you are!. One thing comes to mind. I need to take a photo with you, but I can't because you're doing your job.
Still my lucky Sunday :D
Love you!
Was that you inside of the restaurant? No problem, next time we can definitely take a photo. Thank you very much krub!

Love your Asia street food videos Mark!! Absolutely lovely co-host. She's very good at explaining all the origins of the food. Great to see that you enjoyed the food with you instead of staying in the background 🥰🥰
Such a great video! Virginia is awesome! I had the most amazing time with her in HK also!
This was a great spotlight on Hong Kong eats. I especially loved Mark's take on the claypot chef at Hing Kee. It really did look and sound like he was playing a "musical instrument" comprised of cymbals.
the host wasssss amazingggg indeeed! love her energy nd love for food
Another great video from the nicest man on youtube. Thank you Mark
He is a special food reviewer & does phenomenal content each week. He spoils us honestly lol

In ever country you go to.I see you as a person that how will try different dishes from the big city to the small town .why you can feel respect from the chef you know this is the right thing place for eat.
Virginia seems to be on every fodd channel all of a sudden! Always a good thing to have an expert share the knowledge with Mark and the rest of us!
🙂In my view the atmosphere is much better when people have a food in silent but wandering about the streets of world we can see of many food styles and it all reflect the time we live. Thank you Mark, I love food.😋🥰
Very interesting Hong Kong food tour.
Everything looked Delicious. The razor clams were new to me but I am definitely going to make this recipe.
Thank You Mark for this awesome tasty Hong Kong food tour.
One of a Kind !!!!
I am amazed with this guy. Always positive, never dislikes any food.
Even the left-over food from a trash can?
Wow Hong Kong is seriously a paradise for foodies! Each and every meal displayed in this episode is significantly special. All the chefs are so fantastic however the clay pot chef & the chef handling multi fiery woks is phenomenal food techs. Virginia is such a ray of sunshine so informative & bubbly which makes her a awesome guide. All cuisines looks amazing but the noodle soup, fried intestines, fish balls, clay pots, & stir fried gravitates to my cravings the most. Omgoodness!! 40min long upload was such a treat for me way to start a day. Thanks Mark for such iconic documentaries on international food & culture. You're the best!! Safe travels & blessings always to you & your family!! So anticipating on your weekend upload. Cheers my friend!! 🍚🥘🍲🍛🍡🍻🥠
So glad you enjoyed this video and the delicious food in Hong Kong. Hope you have a fantastic day as well!
Mark, your passion for life inspires me. God bless you.
Watching you since 2009. Thank you bringing such delicious cuisines from round the globe time and again.
Mark is a special food reviewer he does such phenomenal consistent work and provides exceptional quality content weekly.
Thank you very much!
I'm not surprised that a dish that mainly contains beef and potato can taste great. In my country, Sweden, one of the most beloved dishes is biff/beef Rydberg which consists of high quality meat (ideally fillet/beef tenderloin) cut in cubes, potatoes cut in cubes, fried onions, salt and pepper (often served with raw egg yolk). It's a delicious dish when made properly by a good chef using the right ingredients.
Love watching Virginia, she is great! Glad you had her in ur videos.
Seafood tour ???? Yes, please ...making some seafood dinner tonight for sure after watching this video ...Mark's videos are truly an inspiration...cheers from Canada! 🇨🇦♥️🦀🦐
Loved Virginia’s explanation
I'm visiting hk this July. Thank you for the heads-up Mark. Now I don't need to think about food destinations.
Mark Wiens described the fire wok chef as "taking cooking to an athlete level", I agree, the chef was cooking quickly, non stop using a large wok and big flames while cooking. A super athlete cook who makes very delicious food.
Love the video and all of the delicious food. Makes me want to go back to HK again. It was really nice seeing you and Ying in person. It made my vacation unforgettable. Thank you for all your videos and inspiration!!
Always watching your blog before I go to bed every night to put me to sleep. The reason why, it makes me hungry just watching. I enjoyed and love all your blogs.❤❤❤
That claypot rice looks legendary!
I miss HK so much. We lived there several years (Im Irish, wife Hong Kongese) and I dream of when we can move back,.
Absolute experience of a lifetime to be able to guide Mark and Ying. AND YES! They’re the nicest YTers I’ve ever met! The absolute nicest.
I like the back story to how the first dish was created. It reminded me of mulligatawny soup:
Indian meals are traditionally served all at once, the containers placed in the center of the table, family-style.
During the British Raj in India, between 1858 and 1947, the British Officers and soldiers refused to alter their way of dining, which usually included a soup course.
There wasn’t really an Indian soup, so the servants would water down one of their favorite dishes, milagu tannir, which translates to “pepper water” in Tamil, a southern Indian dialect. The pronunciation gradually then became mulligatawny, as it’s known today.
They took it back to Britain, where it’s fairly common and sold in stores to this day.
There is then the famous story about chicken tikka masala, created in Glasgow when a patron in an Indian restaurant in the 1970s asked for some 'gravy' to go with his chicken tikka, and so a masala sauce was added. It is now one of the most popular Indian dishes in the UK.
Very cool, I agree, the backstory of each dish makes it even more special, that keeps us traveling for food. Both very cool stories you shared!
I'm just saying...what a combination. 😉 Can't wait to visit. Chef orange shirt IS amazing!
Excellent choice of all the famous street food in HK Virginia is a great host.
I have to say yr videos editing is on another level ! Now I have to add this wonderful meals into my June's trip eating list ! THX !

thank u mark for always sharing these amazing videos with us
Goodness Virginia hosting both Sonny and Mark in quick succession (I presume) in HK 😂
good marketing.
Indeed 😂😂
She is definitely a amazing addition.
Mikey Chen collaborated with her years ago
This happens at least once a year with these channels. Are the Food Ranger and then Luke Martin going to be in HK next? I'm not the biggest fan when creators piggy back. There was a point when everyone was in Uzbekistan for over a month in TH-cam time.
I just love the beautiful ways of how you do you videos keep it
Watching Mark's food vlogs during my day off is the best feeling ever 👍
Enjoyed the tour Mark your guide was very helpful the food looks yummy 😋 thanks for sharing 👍
The restaurant offering clay pots was my favorite! Also the noodle soup house. Thank you! It looked so tasty. Clay pots have always been my favorite go to! And Soups! You’re amazing Mark
Chinese pineapple buns are literally the BEST thing ever especially the ones with the fillings inside. OMGGGG, I wish we could make those here in Muuurrica!!!

Omg! I’m always so hungry when I see your videos. I really miss HK! I lived there from 88-89 during the Beijing uprising. I always regret not going to the night markets. The food in Hong Kong is amazing. Ty Mark I always enjoy your content. A fan from San Diego. 🫶🏻
Wow! 10.5M subscribers :) It was less than a million when I first followed you. All the best and hugs to Micah and Ying :)
Hong Kong! Let's goooo
Thank you for all of your beautiful videos! God bless you 🙏
Great work Mark, truely showing different type of great street food in our hometown, truely respect! One thing I want to point out, as an true Hong Kong food lover, we absoulutely avoid 龍津美食 for curry fishball or any snack from them, especially you are so close to 通達食店 at that moment, there are tons of choice beside 龍津美食.
Virginia is legit local food tour guide. Hong Kong local approved!
VIRGINIA WITH THE G.O.A.T!!!!
Hong Kong Kowloow Hong-Kong. Foods paradise. Cheers Mark

Virginia the best 🎉 I remember she hosted Strictly Dumpling years ago
Hong Kong is food lovers paradise
Virginia has been very busy recently. Great video. I can't wait to go back to Hong Kong. I really miss claypot rice.
Virginia is amazing. Great episode.
Dove c'è da scroccare, ci sei sempre tu in prima linea!!
Morto di fame!!!
Sembra che non hai mai visto grazia di Dio!!
As your guide mentioned, there have been a lot of changes over the years, particularly since Hong Kong's governance was handed back to China.
I was a kid when we lived in Kowloon in the late '70's, and I have vivid memories of what we used to call 'Stinky's market', a collection of street vendors and outdoor eating, with plenty of unique dishes unlike anywhere else in the world. It was common to see fresh octopus grilling in the street, and many other great dishes. Lots of memories from that time.
Virginia is GORGEOUS!
Thanks for putting in the price on your dishes :) great vid!
