I like Smucker's Natural: nothing but peanuts and salt. No hydrogenated anything and no sugar or other sweeteners. Very robust peanut flavor and texture. You'll have to mix the peanut oil into the butter when you open it, but that's no big deal; I microwave it for a minute to ease the stirring, and I use a fork.
Smucker's Natural is my favorite as well. I tried the organic version of Smucker's Natural and found it excellent but not quite as good as the non-organic version. I get my Natural peanut butter weeks before I need it and store it upside down until I open it. That way the peanut solids are not stuck on the bottom; I also warm it slightly in the microwave. I've considered making a paint can size sabot to hold the peanut butter jar and ask a hardware shop to mix it in the paint shaker. No idea if it would actually work.
Yeah they really gave Smucker's the short shaft here. Yes Goober is awful, hell even as a kid when I finally pestered my mom enough to buy it because it looked amazing, it was terrible. In general Jif is my favorite but if I eat a spoonful of peanut butter (ik im weird) then I prefer Skippy because it’s more artificial and less intense.
This is interesting. I settled on Jif decades ago and have stuck with it, more or less, for the last 30-35 years. At least I know I’m not alone in my preference for it. I eat peanut butter daily; it’s my favorite food. I would’ve starved to death as a child were it not for peanut butter. It’s the only thing I liked to eat.
Everyone in my house agrees that Skippy Natural (yes you do have to either stir it or turn it upside down for an hour to drain the oil off) is the best of the brands we've tried. I never really liked Jif. I like peanut butter with jelly or jam of course, but also with cheese and pickles on bread or an English muffin for a savory snack!
Jif is the best tasting brand. They were right about that. I buy the Jif natural which is not 100% pure peanuts and salt but it is a little better and it tastes great. Publix and other higher end grocery chains do sell straight pureed peanuts flavored with just a little salt. Sometimes the texture just doesn't work. I recommend Jif natural and you don't have the oil separation like you have with Smuckers.
Jif is made in Lexington, KY. It's the largest peanut butter producing facility in the world. When you drive by their plant during production hours, the whole street smells like roasted peanuts. Heaven! :)
I've made Pete Pan for 41yrs and my Father for 32 before me. We did numerous blind taste panels at work and most of what has been shown in this video was far less palatable then Pete Pan. Also there a few company's that can claim they use peanuts within a hundred miles radius of the plant. Peter Pan gives you the freshest peanuts available, most times their processed the same day they get delivered.
Fun fact, in Europe peanut butter is known but not as ubiquitous as in the US. Also the combination of jelly and peanut butter isn't something that is done. The review on Crazy Richard is on point. Some jars all you have to do is stir a little other times you have to stir more and sometime there is still hard child but mostly at the bottom. But it’s not so bad that you wouldn’t buy. The peanut is the best in my opinion.
Alton Brown made good at teaching on a video how to make it from scratch, since my state is a peanut producer, we have 2 pounds of raw peanuts for 2 bucks. I love peanut butter, I eat it everyday. I tried Aldi's Peanut Delight Creamy, it is fantastic, great Peanut flavor. I have tried most of the brands and they are bland. The Peanut Delight brand also contains molasses. When you open the jar and smell it, you immediately get a peanut fragrance!
I buy peanut butter for a food pantry to give away. Probably Aldi is selling Peanut Delight as a loss leader - it undercuts everyone else’s around here - but it’s almost always the cheapest I can get. I haven’t tried it myself but I’m glad it seems to be good as well.

@@theresesouthworth227 I lived down the street from the Everett plant years ago. And it was the only peanut butter in my grandmother’s fridge when I was young. So there’s definitely some nostalgia involved, but it’s great peanut butter too.
Years ago I tried a variety of peanut butters. My personal favorite was the peanut butter that was ground and bottled while I waited. However, finding stores that offered that service was difficult. Of the commercial peanut butters, Jif Low-Sodium Natural Creamy Peanut Butter with its added sugar, molasses, salt, and palm oil was the best tasting and the easiest to find in the stores.
I grind mine in the FM Nutrition Center. Nothin’ but nut. I sometimes salt it after I spread it. My favorite. Jif is what I use in cookies as recommended by Cooks Illustrated. Always use their recipe which uses added ground peanuts. Everyone’s very favorite.
@TDH I love the taste of Laura Scudders but you're not supposed to drain off the oil, you're supposed to mix it up. Whether natural peanut oil is good for you or not I'm not sure, would have to look it up.
Raised on Skippy, but switched to Jif and for some reason it gave me a headache every time I ate it. Been on Peter Pan for years and I love it ! Great smoothness and tastes great !
I can't believe Jif would give you headaches, never heard of any peanut butter giving people headaches. Try it one more time and let us know the result!
I noticed that they didn't include Smucker's Natural peanut butter. Just nuts and a little salt. Great stuff. But you do have to stir the oil back in! But hopefully no one is so lazy that they can't do that.
Smuckers Natural smooth has been my favorite for decades. I don’t mind stirring. I just pour it into a mixing bowl and mix it thoroughly with my mixer then return it to the jar. An alternate way of mixing is the food processor. Either way you mix it you get the same smooth peanut butter with no additives.
Well I have bought Peter Pan and Skippy through the years and also Jiff. Teddy is good because it's all natural no hydrogenated oils just nuts and a little salt. Thought after you stir it you store in the refrigerator. You take it out and it becomes hard.I discovered a peanut butter that I get at Price Rite it's all just peanuts and a little salt. Some oil on top you stir it once and you don't have to put it in the refrigerator. I love it because it's natural
Trader Joe's crunchy style, (blue label). Pure peanuts in their own peanut oil without a lot of stabilizers. Store the jar on it's head for a few days before opening and you don't need to stir in the separated peanut oil.
At our local Winco we have a peanut grinding machine loaded with peanuts. You push the button, the peanuts get ground up, and chunky peanut butter comes out the bottom. Just peanuts and salt--the way peanut butter should be.

@@jimp6542 commonly used black brands are brands like Peter Pan, Skippy, and honestly Great Value/Equivalent. Brands that tend to taste more like peanuts rather than a bunch of sugar with a hint of peanut. But my original comment was meant to focus on not just this video but a lot of their videos. They ranked places like Church's and Raising Cane's low on their fried chicken list, but some how bland as hell KFC was high on list.
Costco's Kierland organic 2 pack. You have to stir it, but it's just the peanuts and salt. A lot of it! Added hydrogenated oils and sugars aren't my taste.

I think Walmart brand peanut butter is Skippy peanut butter. Years ago they had a recall covering contaminated jars. The recall covered Skippy and Walmart.
I was a Skippy/crunchy person most of my life but moved to Brazil. I searched for years here for something that was mostly peanuts and no sugar without luck PLUS the stuff on the shelf here was (is) extremely expensive. One day, frustrated and desperate (I REALLY like PB) I went to the market and bought a vacuum sealed package with 5kg of slightly roasted peanuts. Heck - those 5kg cost the same as the tiny jars of PB on the grocery store shelf. I tried grinding it in my powerful blender but it was too dry. I bought an oil press to try to squeeze out peanut oil (no peanut oil on the market shelf here) to make grinding work better. Didn't work. I'm a big fan of roasted sesame oil so I tried about 3 tablespoons of oil, a pinch of salt to 4 cups of peanuts and VOILÀ!! Perfect PB. Now I regularly buy my 5kg packs of nuts, divie them up into approx. 4 cups bags which I freeze and use as needed. Seeing what JIF adds (molasses) I'm suddenly inspired to run over to the sugar mill and get some fresh blackstrap molasses to swap out the sesame oil.
I buy Jif myself, however… Laura Scudder’s creamy is amazing too, and it’s my suggestion if you wanna go organic.. Just peanuts and salt, and of course you have to mix it yourself.. It even has speckles of red skin in it, which is awesome..
There is a place in Virginia that makes a great peanut butter and some other peanut products. The name is Good Earth. There is no Sugar, smooth or chunky peanut butter jars that are highly recommended.

I'm in England. Most popular are the nearly pure makes flavoured ones we don't see much.
Adams and Laura Skudder are owned by Smuckers. They are my fav's.
No added sugar Jif has excellent flavor and when paired with one of Smucker's sugar free jams is a great low sugar treat for those needing to watch their sugar intake
Yessir
Noo ...it contains Palm oil
@@swiperightshow So - vitamin E, antioxidants - and Jif just tastes better - I'm more concerned with the no added sugar than the palm oil
Jif has always been my favorite peanut butter!
You have good taste.
"To me, peanut butter is the breakfast of champions." - Greg Louganis.
no Santa Cruz? Found that organic peanut butter last year and just love it.
...I truly find the store brand "Kroger"
perfectly seasoned and consistency and the last time I bought it is was $ 1.00 limit 10 jars
on sale from $1.50 compared to $ 2.79 plus for the brand names.. I also like the .99 cent store $ 1.00 brand..Most brand names are simply TOO SWEET seems like everything food wise you buy has sugar or a sweetner ....I dont know why they cant reduce the sugar content.I will also save them a lot of money and then maybe diabetics can eat them as well.
why? because sugar was so expensive a long time ago, that the world made sure to never have sugar expensive ever again
Yay! My fav is JIF--especially the Natural flavor--pure peanuts. Delish!!!😋
Here in Massachusetts one of our best brands of peanut butter is called teddy bear awesome flavor of peanut
The only peanut butter I ever buy. The absolute best.
I also prefer Teddie peanut butter
My daughter lived near their factory in Everett Mass. I buy it here on Long Island in stop and shop
@@theresesouthworth227 I lived down the street from the Everett plant years ago. And it was the only peanut butter in my grandmother’s fridge when I was young. So there’s definitely some nostalgia involved, but it’s great peanut butter too.
@@aparz617 I used to live on West St in the village. Now 2 miles away in Medford.
GNC does and so Ingles groceries stores, but you will pay more.
My parents told me there are three things you should never buy off brand and they were peanutbutter, mayonnaise and toilet paper.
Life is too short for cheap toilet paper and beer in a can.
al saunders Cheap toilet paper is not something a person should ever have to use.
Your parents told you right.
I'm 94 and agree, Skippy, Hellmans and Charmin and don''t argue with us !
@@audreybooth9406 Ahhh! Those are my brands too!
Who else is eating peanut butter watching this?
100% me. I was playing a game and left to eat peanut butter
Am glad I found the answer to this dreadfully long ad. Jiff is my go to peanut butter. Now I can shut off the ladies voice.
Simply JIF’ Cuts the Sugar - Perfectly!
They just cut down every single brand for minor imperfections, but completely pander to JIF
If you wanted the best you'd buy Laura Scudders.
This is my favorite by far!
I like Smuckers but Laura Scudders is what a buy. I turn the jar upside down when I store it. The oils mix this way just fine.
@@evelynhyland2305 _I buy Smuckers, but have never even seen or heard of this 'Scudders' brand.. is it a west coast or Euro line?
@@ponyexpress2724 I don't know
Well I have bought Peter Pan and Skippy through the years and also Jiff.
I’m a Peter Pan man and I’ve tried them and always came back. I also love Goober Grape!
There both great
Jif has always been my favorite. Candy makers over a century ago knew about molasses and peanuts together.
Eat whatever peanut butter you like the best.
Trader Joe's crunchy style, (blue label). Pure peanuts in their own peanut oil without a lot of stabilizers. Store the jar on it's head for a few days before opening and you don't need to stir in the separated peanut oil.
You forgot Laura Scudders old fashioned peanut butter.
easily the best only peanuts
Laura Scudders and Adams are the same peanut butter, different label. It may be an east coast/west coast sort of deal.
Oh and TEDDY with FLUFF ....Sorry if your not from New England this stuff is Kick Ass
Skippy is WAY too sweet. It's like eating pure sugar!
At our local Winco we have a peanut grinding machine loaded with peanuts. You push the button, the peanuts get ground up, and chunky peanut butter comes out the bottom. Just peanuts and salt--the way peanut butter should be.
In another taste test, Peter Pan was ranked as one of the best !! I'm starting to think you are paid by the company's you promote !
or maybe subjective thinking is a thing
Lol this channel is racist as hell. Every topic they cover just paints commonly white brands way higher than brands commonly used by black people.
@@MrMisterJW Are you smoking crack, or are you seriously saying that this channel made by WHITE people, with a big WHITE audience, should pander to black people, just because some snowflake thinks that liking white brands over black brands is racist? Grow up.
@@MrMisterJW So what is black peanut butter? When I'm in the grocery store I don't see any.
When you give up on all those USA brands go for Kraft peanut butter. It's the best ever..
JIF does taste more like fresh peanuts! The best.
That’s wat I grew up on
Jif sugar free is amazing. I didn't think I would like it, but it tastes just like regular jif. I was amazed.
I mix Smucker's Organic Natural in my oatmeal every day of my life. I am surprised to not see it on the list.
Costco's Kierland organic 2 pack. You have to stir it, but it's just the peanuts and salt. A lot of it! Added hydrogenated oils and sugars aren't my taste.
thought I would try it once and that was enough. Worst tasting stuff I have ever run across.
Grew up with Planters and still like its rich flavor best of all. Now if only Costco would stock it.
I love the harsh review of the great value one 💀
I love Jiff natural creamy. The honey one is great too and will try the crunchy honey as recommended.
we use Jiff for as long as I can remember, love peanut butter
@TOM Thank you troll
Disregarding the relative healthfulness of the product (e.g. harmful added ingredients) makes these comparisons useless to the health conscious.
Planters is the best! It’s has really great peanut flavour !
I love Jif since my dad always brings it back from the US but I would never dare put jelly on ANY peanut butter
Try coconut oil and honey or molasses or even coconut sugar.
I buy Jif myself, however… Laura Scudder’s creamy is amazing too, and it’s my suggestion if you wanna go organic.. Just peanuts and salt, and of course you have to mix it yourself.. It even has speckles of red skin in it, which is awesome..
Everyone has different taste for us we like peter pan.
I’m dieting and building muscle I should stick to almond butter or pan peanut butter.
This was fun to listen to
Here in Ma I enjoy TEDDIE peanut butter which has no additives, just peanuts.
I live 2 miles away from the factory and on downwind days I can smell that delicious flavor.
@@bornagainbornagain6697 was a wonderful smell!
Let's hear it for TEDDY!!! New England's favorite for years. Just peanuts and salt. GREAT!!!
Jif has always been my favorite peanut butter. I won’t eat anything but Jif
There is a place in Virginia that makes a great peanut butter and some other peanut products.
The name is Good Earth. There is no Sugar, smooth or chunky peanut butter jars that are highly recommended.
This is the longest JIF commercial I've ever watched
Peanut Butter & Co I'd amazing. I also love Jif. I need a PB & Jelly sandwich now.
I was today years old when I learned there’s a Peter Pan peanut butter
I grew up on Skippy and commoditee peanut butter and Skippy was a treat!
So basically 99% of peanut butters out there have some horrible quality that makes them almost inedible.
Should be titled "Peanut Butter Brands Ranked from Worst to Least Worst, but they're almost all terrible" SMH

Yeah...my conclusion also. I think she should start her own company. Then we can do a review.
Actually , I like JIF...But I picked up the Walmart brand which has nothing added. No hydrogenated junk. I add my own honey. There ...I spoke for myself... :>)
I'm not a big peanut butter eater but Jif is what I've always purchased.
Wow I get Jif. Awesome that it came in first.☘️
