I'm 60, and it's hards to say how many100s of gallons of Jif peanut butter that I've ate in my life. One thing for sure, I've eaten more Jif, than any other food, in my entire life.
Hydyrogenated oils, palm oil, are the worst type of oils....my choice is Smucker's natural peanut butter...you do have to stir it but once you get the hang of it no problem just keep it in the fridge. I lay the jar on its side overnight and use a long handled wooden spoon (the handle part) to stir it...I find for me it's the easiest method...
Giving up Reese's? Between the stuff in the jar and peanut butter cups and candy bars, it is indeed a huge hella NOPE. I'd smile in my grave with a stomach full of the deadly goodness knowing I died eating what I like instead of playing the game of overpaying for so-called "organic" crap.
I'm 60 and I'm tired of over paying for everything! I recently started making my own so i know what's in my peanut butter. Although I can't make it last as long as commercial, I'll deal with it.
&mbg3871 All PB’s without Hydrogenated Oils and other ‘throw ins’ are decent. Skippy & Jif NATURAL versions are among those I recommend to my clients. Simply read the label.
Just aim for the All natural peanut butters without Hydrogenated oils... Ppl don't realize Hydrogenated oils=Trans fats, which we all know, Trans fats are horrible for your body... But a lot of food companies now try to disguise and hide the Trans fat content in foods...
And Elvis loved his peanut butter with bammars..dead at 40..nice guy hired me to work with for our 62 world..fair..back.beer was 1.00 for picker..with a salad bar and free chicjens over 10#..
My recent peanut butter buys have been so soupy you can practically pour it out of the jar. No texture! It's awful! Not just oil on top. Soupy top to bottom! Jiff AND Skippy!
I am poor I don’t care about the rubbish they put in it, just the cost. I can’t afford a pension so dying early will stop me having to live in a tent in L.A in my old age.
So who's number 1? lol Guess all peanut butter is toxic lol. Eat what you love. We need certain amounts fats and salt to stay alive. Just don't overdue it.
All Peanut Butters with Hydrogenated Oils are bad for you. The popular american brands of Skippy and Jif are good if you purchase the NATURAL version, which omits the Hydrogenated Oils, and is just Peanuts, Salt, Sugar. After reading these comments, it’s sad how UNBELIEVABLY SLOW some americans are.
If you are looking for a healthy peanut butter, I would even skip the "Natural" versions of Skippy and Jif. They both contain Palm Oil in addition to the added sugar. Real natural peanut butter should contain only peanuts and salt or if you don't want the added sodium, just peanuts.
I pretty much did know this but some don't and don't really seem to care sad but hope those that don't realize this See's this video and others to teach them thing's that they didn't know but Thanks for the update video for many to learn from them but
Skippy Crunchy or store brand (Roundy's or Kroger) (1). Creamy peanut butter is for wannabes. 1) The best PB to make PB cookies used to be the stuff made for the government commodities good stuffs programs.
Your take on saturated fats in this video is far from the truth. How can hydrogenated fat increase the saturated fats which in fact is not bad depending on the types of saturated fats. It's the unsaturated fats that quickly go rancid is far more harmful that saturated fats which stay stable if it is from say coconut oil.
A lot of these people dueing all these test are really not in physical bussiness of work. There are people out there working on cars and washing them and polishing them with wax for protection and sanding cars for prep painting and its not fair that you should really come on to all people work the same as anybody else?Iys really professional ignorance. Some of these people have actually start to lose use of their hands due to mussle cramp up????
This whole segment is bull$%*#! You have convinced me that I need to broaden my peanut butter horizons! It's not wise to screw around with an American staple. Shame on you!!!
My doctor warned me about this, just last week. I thought, maybe, just to cut way back on it, but this was the final nail in the coffin. I'm now off peanut butter for good.
@@philanderphillips2309, as this video pointed out, there's really no such thing. If it's low fat, they overcompensate with sugar and salt. No good can come from it. And I really trust my doctor. Since taking his advice, I've gone from 244 lbs to 185. High blood pressure to normal. With no drugs, just taking his advice. I'm 67, and as healthy as I could be.
@@markcollins2666 First things first, great job in reducing your weight. Second, Mashed is not always correct. Third, the video never said there were no healthy options, and if it did, it was ridiculously incorrect. Even the most popular brands in america, Skippy and Jif have NATURAL options, which are quite decent. But there seem to be quite a few GOOFS in this comment section that seem as though they need to be led, as opposed to doing self research and having two brain cells they can fire up to make smart decisions. Keep up with your weight loss journey and best of luck to you.
I made it to 67 years old . My mom always had : Jiff , Skippy or Peter Pan in the house.
I'll stick with my Jif, or Skippy, smooth or extra crunchy [whichever I'm in the mood for] at 70 y/o I'm not complaining.
I like the Skippy Natural. Good taste, and not too much cheap bullcrap added for its fairly low price. Organic raises the price to ridiculous.
Agreed

Peanut butter isn't supposed to be healthy its job is to taste great.
I agree. It would have been nice of them to recommend a brand we should purchase instead of only telling us only brands we should avoid.
You're not choosing Reese's PB for anything health related...
The only peanut butter I buy is from Trader Joe’s. It contains peanuts only.
Oh😀
Hydyrogenated oils, palm oil, are the worst type of oils....my choice is Smucker's natural peanut butter...you do have to stir it but once you get the hang of it no problem just keep it in the fridge. You do realize people know how to read ingredients label right?
No, not all people can or do. Read these comments and see how SLOW americans are.
I don't care what they say, I'm not giving up my Reese's peanut butter. I don't eat it often enough to worry about it being unhealthy.
AMEN Took the words right outta my mouth!
"I like natural peanut butter! The only ingredient...peanuts!!❤❤😂😮😅❤
I have tried a lot of brands but my choice is Jiff
Taste is everything. I have one or two pb&j sandwiches per month, but it has to be Jif Extra Crunchy.
Smucker's Natural Crunchy
We don’t care what anyone says, this household loves Skippy peanut butter.
I'm 60 and I'm tired of over paying for everything! I recently started making my own so i know what's in my peanut butter. Although I can't make it last as long as commercial, I'll deal with it.
Just make smaller batches of it. Then you won't have any that goes to waste.
That’s the most expensive way to eat peanut butter.
By “most unhealthy” you really mean “most delicious”.
Exactly! How many people out there eat peanut butter 3 times a day?
@@jlandon6028 even if you do, unless you're using a ridiculous amount it's not enough to do much harm.
They aren't calories. They're Flavor Units!
Reese's is a ripoff. It just tastes like any other PB. I always believed it would be special if they were going to sell jars of it
i cant watch the rest of this video, its depressing..
Try Teddies! I love it! Peanuts/Nuts!!😊
JIF ALL THE WAY
Be safe make your own
That might actually be fun!
@@jlandon6028it is. And easy, too.
Really, avoid hydrogenated peanut butter duh! Read labels. Or roast & grind your own.
We would like some suggestions on what to buy.
Going by your video - no Pb is healthy. They are all going to kill you..... The end! 😂
This comment section is unbearably slow. STAY AWAY from PB’s with Hydrogenated Oils. Also those with Honey.
No recommendation of one we SH0ULD buy?
Smuckers all natural…it’s just peanuts
no

My favorite is Teddie Super Chunky Unsalted Peanut Butter -- just one ingredient, peanuts -- and lots of crunchy peanut chunks!
Peanut Butter and Company White chocolate peanut butter is my go to.

I buy Kroger brand honey roasted peanut butter not the crunchy… am 82 don’t think it hurts me, been using it for years!
Thanks for telling us which not to get, but it would have been nice if there was some information on what are the better choices.
Folks, just read the nutrition facts and ingredients list.
I give up! I'm going to grind peanuts and add some honey to make my own peanut butter!
Another one who seems a bit slow. You can’t purchase a healthy brand? Did you not understand the video?
My recent peanut butter buys have been so soupy you can practically pour it out of the jar. No texture! It's awful! Not just oil on top. Soupy top to bottom! Jiff AND Skippy!
"Just like lower sodium lunch meat! It's only about 20% less! Lunch meat is a once a week meal with lettuce, tomato, mayo or mustard!!" 😮😢😂😅❤

Skippy and Jif NATURAL are decent brands and don’t hurt your pocket.
Amen brother, had to leave California to survive😢
Which natural peanut butter purveyor do you represent?
thanks, i"ll listed that into my to-eat lists

Only Skippy because that's what Annette ate.
