International Rally Championship (PC, 1997)

Something special for today... 🙂
This is a gameplay from the International Rally Championship, a PC game from 1997. It is an old(er) game, I've got since 1998 in my small collection of old PC games. This is the european version.
It's an arcade rally racing game, mostly similar to the Sega Rally series. 🚗 It was made by Europress and is a sequel to Magnetic Fields/Europess' 1996 Rally Championship. The interesting thing about this game is, that it doesn't have cockpit (inside) view and you have to refill the rally cars fuel tank, if you want to finish the race.
The graphics are excellent for the time and very crisp, colorfull. 👌 Really a joy to play, especially, because it is fast. And the music is fantastic! Worth to check it out.
This game is also known as Tommi Mäkinen Rally in some European countries.

Great video! Any issues to run on modern systems? I saw other videos and it was more pixaleted and worse framerate than yours...

Sorry for the late reply. To run this game on modern (Windows*) systems, you just need to use dgvooodoo. Also for working music, you need to have a CD/DVD-ROM/RW drive (external USB CD/DVD drive is good too), so that the audio is playing from the CD.
* With Proton, Lutris etc. it should work on Linux too, however I didn't try.

I have an impossible question: is it possible to play this game with modern steering wheel like Logitech G25 or newer?

I would like to help, but sadly I cannot tell you anything usefull. I never had a steering wheel. Maybe look at PCGamingWiki (PCGW) website, maybe there is a usefull information in that regards.
