Efectivamente, era un juego muy adelantado a su época. Además, el control era muy preciso y guardaba una fidelidad casi absoluta con los campeonatos de rallies.
I must have spent weeks of my life playing this back in the day, bought it in a three pack for £20 that had Star Trek: TNG, PGA Golf 97, and Network Q Rally, and that's pretty much all I played for months and months lol this really takes me back

My first car/racing game. Never been big on rally even back then but it had me hooked for a few years. Mum snapped the CD when she busted me playing at 1am on a school night. Keyboard racer, too. Inwould gave been 9-10 in '98 when I got it.
Oh how far we have come. I remember this game very well, it was my first Rally game back in the day and I was hooked. Now I play Dirt Rally 2.0 with a sim wheel and VR headset. It's unbelievable how far we have come in my lifetime... Unbelievable.
I was 11 when i played this finally found a video on here all about it. Great memories. Thanks for posting. I'm sure it was this game that had a really random glitch. You had to be inside the car and slowly turn the car to the right side of the track. once at the side keep the power floored and keep turning right. It would skid out and fully face the hedge but then suddenly speed up and you would finish the race in a few seconds.

i recently picked up wrcg because i remember playing this game as a kid, and it was incredible, the amount of hours i played, missing this game made me discover how good the new wrcg games are, no matter if it's from ea or ktc.
If you hadn't have a PC yet but you owned a CD player, you could listen to the game's soundrack with that because all the in-game music was in audio CD format on the disc 😎

+Unai Caballero Había uno en concreto de casi 20 minutos de duración, siendo el más largo sin lugar a dudas. Además, poco después fue distribuida una expansión que ofrecía unos 10 circuitos adicionales que podían ser disputados en los diferentes modos de juego que ofrecía el título. ¡Ah! Y si no te has pasado a echar un vistazo a la lista de reproducción correspondiente al torneo de rallies del canal, te animo a hacerlo porque utilizamos este mismo juego para la causa. ¡Un saludo!
I first played thid great game in a 486 pc and had to play it in low graphics. In high graphics it had frame drops. As soon as i bought a Pentium2 i really enjoyed it to the fullest 🙂

Those guys at the "Magnetic Fields" knew how to create a rally program. This and the following 2 titles of the "Rally Championship" series are timeless classics for now; best rally games for sim fans: Network A RAC Rally; International Rally Championship; Mobil1 Rally I'm glad that I could own these legends. :)
I loved this game. It was the first game I ever played when I was 5. It was so dificult for me and I always ended up crashing into the fence and my car's wheels turned upside. I tried so hard to win and I finally won many after hours of practice I also loved to hear the cars description his voice was funny to me even thought I didn't understand english now I can and I still love it.
It takes me back to Windows 95~98, around 1998~1999, bought this with a magazine in a pack that was sold here in Brazil. Played it for hours n hours... This one, LBA2, Captain Claw, SimCity 2000, Theme Park, Theme Hospital, Sanitarium, GTA1, AOE Rise of Rome... :DDD

This game is almost 30 years old and still remains one of the best, if not the best rally game ever. I still have the cd, but unfortunately i can't run it on my pc
Creo recordar que es CD de modo mixto. Por un lado se encuentra la estructura de datos y, por otro, las pistas de música correspondientes al juego. Pero todo ello en el mismo disco, no existe uno extra que albergue las pistas de audio.
This is IMHO one of the best Rally games ever created. With the possible exception of Richard Burns it knocks the WRC series and to some extent Dirt out of the ring. The stages were long and realistic, based on real mapping data from the Ordnance Survey. It was as much of a challenge to keep your car unbroken enough to actually avoid early retirement as to get round the track. Sadly last time I tried to run this, even the updated version was incompatible with modern hardware and Windows 10. I remain in hope that one day someone will make a rally simulation that is as realistic and engaging as this title was.
I remember getting this for PC and my PC just not being up to it, a couple of upgrades later and I hammered this for days on end, loved the continuous track not circuits. This and NASCAR Racing might look like cat sick now but very special place in my memories.

I still have this rally champiionship game I still play even today in 2014! i first played it in 1998 I was 20 then great features here fun to play and to replays to the rain levels and snow stages were my favorite and luv the codriver yelling Hard left!!!! Hard right!!! fun stuff!! And that music from the selection screen was so relaxing and my favorite as well!!Plus If your looking for a real thrill do the Arcade mode :-P

Por ejemplo, recuerdo que además de llamarse "Network Q RAC Rally Championship" también se le conocía como "International Rally Championship" o "Mobil 1 Rally Championship". This was my first racing game back when I was the tender age of 5, :D. I fondly remember my Dad and Uncle setting up the steering wheel and pedals and us all trying to beat each other's times in the Championship mode. Good times. Anyone know how to get the music tracks working in-game? They don't seem to work for me in DOSBox and would like to hear them while racing occasionally for nostalgia.
The music works perfectly in DOSBox, but you need to mount the game folder (mount C C:\Games\Network for example) and the CD-ROM drive (mount D E:\ -t cdrom). Try to do this and remember to install the game through DOSBox.
Oh, didn't know I had to run the install.exe through DOSBox, thanks. I've just tried and gotten an error in the DOSBox command prompt, "Illegal write to 11a89150, CD:IP 4d4d: 4162" when the install reached the sound configuration. Any ideas?
Try to install the game and configure the sound separately. First, run the install.exe and, after this, do the same with the sound configuration file through your destination folder ("setup" or "setsound", I guess).
The install.exe tries to automatically run the setsound.exe as soon as the files copy to C:\Rallyc (which doesn't actually happen, presumably because the setsound after it fails). I can run setsound.bat separately and it detected all the MIDI stuff fine, but each time I run the install.exe it keeps trying to go to setsound and falls over. Oh well, I guess I'll just listen to the tracks on iTunes or something in the background, lol.
Do you have the ISO of the game or a "rip" version? I ask you because the music can only be listened with the ISO (or the physical CD). Try to install the game with the full installation option, too.

Me encanta. Le da mil patadas a los "Need for Speed" de la época y todo. Lo compré en su versión budget allá en los 90 y hace poco pude ponerle la mano encima a la versión que trae la expansión "X-Miles Addon".

This was my very first rally game that I played on my Pentium 2 PC. Wow those were awesome times. I played this game for hours on end. Weekends went by like they were only a few hours (Or that's how it felt when playing this game) I remember my mom yelling from the kitchen "Stop playing that Fokking game and go wash your face" lol. Good times

Something that blew my kid's mind at the time was that the sound was different when you would use the cockpit camera.

I still have this rally champiionship game I still play even today in 2014! i first played it in 1998 I was 20 then great features here fun to play and to replays to the rain levels and snow stages were my favorite and luv the codriver yelling Hard left!!!! Hard right!!! fun stuff!! And that music from the selection screen was so relaxing and my favorite as well!!Plus If your looking for a real thrill do the Arcade mode :-P

@Holliday3020 Es que este juego recibió diversos nombres en función del país donde fue editado. Por ejemplo, recuerdo que además de llamarse "Network Q RAC Rally Championship" también se le conocía como "International Rally Championship" o "Mobil 1 Rally Championship". Desconozco si pudo existir alguna pequeña variación dependiendo de la zona.

This was my first racing game back when I was the tender age of 5, :D. I fondly remember my Dad and Uncle setting up the steering wheel and pedals and us all trying to beat each other's times in the Championship mode. Good times. Anyone know how to get the music tracks working in-game? They don't seem to work for me in DOSBox and would like to hear them while racing occasionally for nostalgia.
The music works perfectly in DOSBox, but you need to mount the game folder (mount C C:\Games\Network for example) and the CD-ROM drive (mount D E:\ -t cdrom). Try to do this and remember to install the game through DOSBox.
Oh, didn't know I had to run the install.exe through DOSBox, thanks. I've just tried and gotten an error in the DOSBox command prompt, "Illegal write to 11a89150, CD:IP 4d4d: 4162" when the install reached the sound configuration. Any ideas?
Try to install the game and configure the sound separately. First, run the install.exe and, after this, do the same with the sound configuration file through your destination folder ("setup" or "setsound", I guess).
The install.exe tries to automatically run the setsound.exe as soon as the files copy to C:\Rallyc (which doesn't actually happen, presumably because the setsound after it fails). I can run setsound.bat separately and it detected all the MIDI stuff fine, but each time I run the install.exe it keeps trying to go to setsound and falls over. Oh well, I guess I'll just listen to the tracks on iTunes or something in the background, lol.
Do you have the ISO of the game or a "rip" version? I ask you because the music can only be listened with the ISO (or the physical CD). Try to install the game with the full installation option, too.

Sii y por supuesto los grandes referentes por orden de aparicion, como siempre sega a la vanguardia del sector arcade con sega rally y los de codemasters con el primer colin mc rae rally de psx :D

Me encanta. Le da mil patadas a los "Need for Speed" de la época y todo. Lo compré en su versión budget allá en los 90 y hace poco pude ponerle la mano encima a la versión que trae la expansión "X-Miles Addon".

Oye, una pregunta, ¿no sabrías cómo hacerte con el GeoWorks Ensemble? Es una especie de alternativa a Windows 3.X que no cuajó, pero me encantaría echarle un vistazo con DOSBox.

That game was magnificent back then i was like 9 , my best car was the subaru & in real life i got my 1st subaru from a dealer that works with sport cars and it was the one in that game all by chance
This was my very first rally game that I played on my Pentium 2 PC. Wow those were awesome times. I played this game for hours on end. Weekends went by like they were only a few hours (Or that's how it felt when playing this game) I remember my mom yelling from the kitchen "Stop playing that Fokking game and go wash your face" lol. Good times
It was so hard to configure the audio for this game that I´ve discovered that was music in the opening after a long time playing it.
