I'm seriously scared of heights and roller coasters took my 10 year old on this for her first roller coaster my anxiety was thru the roof the whole time ... Still by far the best coaster she only ride one coaster this was it. They definitely could add more safety though if that thing does fly off the corners of could be bad it does go pretty high up.

Fun story . As an employee in the early 70s and for Halloween , I had the BEST job during Knotts (early) Halloween Haunt . I was stationed at the entrance of the sawmill on the Catwalk @0:57 upper left . The logs were replaced with "bodies' being sawed upon by ghoulish woodsmen . The creators gave me a control panel with 6 pushbuttons , each with a different sound effect ...a howl, blood curtling scream , a witch's cackle etc... AND a bunch of wiggly creatures that I would tie to the balls of kite string left for me . I couldn't wait to get to work each afternoon ! NOTHING is better than touching one face or the BACK of the last rider with a creepy crawler ! I laughed so hard I almost fell from that catwalk and by the end of the night , riders had found me out and were aiming squirt guns at me....AND I WAS PAID TO DO THIS ! Ahh , the good old days ! Thanks for the video .
Went on this ride yesterday. One new thing I noticed was instead of a generic voice telling you to keep your hands inside the log, there’s an entire song about it.
In the 1970s I rode this one; I don't recommend it getting older as slipping was somewhat of a problem. Great ride. I live in the Roseville, CA area these days and haven't been back but once in 1982 for my Grandparents 62nd. marriage anniversary; when we went to Mrs. Knott's chicken dinner restaurant. Back then they still had great cooks.
I BROKE My hand here!!….Me and my entire 5th grade graduation class went on a school field trip here back in 2001 I got seated in the log with my friend as the log was going up and was riding fairly slow I started to splash my friend I course I didn’t follow the signs posted saying keep hand inside at all times as the log started reaching the down slope it started rocking aggressively side to side witch lead to the boat crushing my hand in half turned into a taco shape 🌮 I hurt like hell I was in the worst pain as the ride when down hill when they have cameras pointing at you to get that reaction I’m there holding my taco hand yelling my azz off lol 😂 fast forward 2021 my hand it great….moral of the story keep your hands inside at all times kids!!!!
When you're a kid, that drops feels much longer. Growing up tho, yeah it's like half a second and not much thrill to it anymore. But the experience of the ride never gets old.

One time when I was with my friend on this ride there was a small crack in the log we were in and are shoes got soaked and there was so much water in the log
We just went today and you don't get wet much at all. Not like Tidal Wave at Magic Mountain where you are completely soaked. We went on twice and just got splashed on the shirts. I would recommend making sure rides aren't down though before you go because the log ride was closed for several hours today. Can't wait for Calico Rapids next Friday!
I've never been a huge fan if this ride but ima have to get used to it when Knott's opens. I loved Splash Mountain and there's no way I'm going on the re theme. I still need a log ride to go on.

Its not that fast its actually pretty relaxing, the drop is pretty decent, just enough for a lil splash

When I went there, the line wait time was expected to be from 42 - 100 minutes
We just went today and you don't get wet much at all. Not like Tidal Wave at Magic Mountain where you are completely soaked. We went on twice and just got splashed on the shirts. I would recommend making sure rides aren't down though before you go because the log ride was closed for several hours today. Can't wait for Calico Rapids next Friday!
