I went there yesterday and did that exact ride... I remember being totally scared by the second dip and thinking: "Hold On. This isnt even the big dip yet." I was panicking throughout the rest of the whole thing and when I eventually went down, it literally took my breath away. About 5 seconds after I burst out laughing. It was so much fun!

It always fascinates me how rides like this get built. The builders don't really have the design skills but the artists don't know how to build it. It takes a real mind meld to make it happen.

I don't know if it was just me or was the little drops the ones that got you the most wet? I miss the smell of the water I can't wait to go back and ride this again!!
It was most definitely the big drop at the end that got us the wettest. The front of the boat was practically underwater 😂

Disney announced that splash mountain will be changed into princess and the frog because it was called for racist history.
It’s sucks but I still have a splash mountain bag for the last time I went on it :( it was one of my favorite rides because the music. It was so jolly and catchy I will miss it!

I am going this weekend and I am soooo excited I have not been in almost 2 years
If you go a couple minutes before closing, they let you ride twice, maybe even a couple times in a row

I went on when it was raining in the evening and they let me go on as many rounds as I wanted lol there was no one so i went on 4 times in a row
Vicky G. Or when it's raining, we went there in 2016 and it was pouring. We all had ponchos on and there was no one in the line so we went on it like 4 times. It was awesome
@@thedspot7209 tbh it hits so different to go late at night before closing a bunch of times in a row. Out of my decently big family me and my 2 brothers are the only people in my family when we go that actually like going on it a lot. I have a lot of memories going on it late with my brothers and just going again and again. One of the many reasons it’s my favorite ride.

Gabriel Dally That’s because the log path and the flume itself is somewhat narrower with singled-column of seats than the ones @ Tokyo or Magic Kingdom.
Those two (Magic Kingdom & Tokyo), because they have lap-bars by placing 2 passengers per row, the flumes are bigger. On the final drop, it might give it lesser wave of a splash.

Omg I was just there with my brother and his wife in the front seats and I swear the water levels on this ride were off the charts 🤣 The water straight up splashed my bro in the face and mouth before everyone else got soaked on that last drop hahaha so much fun 😂😁

@@Dellparks3 We used the GoPro hand strap for this one. You're too low in the boat for the chest mount, you wouldn't see anything 👀

Huh. I haven't even gone to Disneyland, hoping I will soon though.
I went to disneyworld 1 time as a kid and never saw any anamatronics or cool things like this bc i was horribly afraid of hights and my dad tricked me into getting on a big scary ride 1st (he knowingly lied about what it was) so I never trusted him enough to go on any of these smaller rides with music and characters I might have been able to handle. My whole memory of the trip is sitting on park benches alone and getting the flu.
Videos like this make me want to go back with my girlfriend and try again. The sets and singing anamatronics look like so much fun! I bet theres so much cool stuff at the park you could find as an adult (and not a crying terrified child)
You really should try again. You can look up online how : tall, fast, much of a drop and then compare that to daily life. That is what I did for my autistic son and he rides EVERY THING

Thanks for uploading! I went on this when I was 6 years old and I loved it but I could barely remember bits and pieces of it. I cant dream of being able to afford to go back there so this helped me relive that memory and make it complete again. 😁

Im scared of roller coasters after going on Mount Everest ride in Animal Kingdom when I was 5. But I love flumes
I went on this ride when i was 5 or 6- lemmie tell you i panicked for the whole ride and that last drop scarred me

Ladies & gentlemen! If you’re on Splash Mountain @ Disneyland CA, you will get soaked, regardless if you’re in the front, middle, or especially back seat. It’s because the log flumes itself are single-file seats with 6 passengers, and the water paths are narrower. And needless to say, Disneyland has more gallons of water on all of the drops than Magic Kingdom or Tokyo.
Whereas at Magic Kingdom and Tokyo, they’re equipped with 8-passenger logs, seated 2x2 with lap bars. The paths are somewhat wider, and if seating in the back, you might get less soaked.
Eliot Park that’s why I prefer the one at Disneyland versus Magic Kingdom because I like to get soaked like that on really hot days

I love Splash mountain the most,more then the log ride from Knotts Berry Farm. Its just so thrilling, because I like the drops they had!!!😆
The log ride from Knotts berry farm is more faster but shorter
I notice when the drops have a lot of water going down like a water fall you get way more wet and when its winter they don't really have any water going down so you don't get as wet and not as fast I like it when there is more water I love getting wet on this ride!

😭😭😭😭 I'll miss this ride too I'm disappointed that its turning into Princess and the Frog it's one of my least favorite Disney movies I'm not being racists to those that will think I am with my comment but I was just not into that movie... They should make it an Emperor's New Groove ride and at the drop make Yzma say: "Pull the lever Kronk!" Then as it drops and she screams: "wrong leverrrrrrrr!!!!"

Thanks for posting this looks like Disneyland going to be closed for a long time I work at Disneyland at one of the stores it’s sooo weard to see the park closed all you hear are the ducks swimming in one of the lakes and ponds don’t worry all you disney fans we will be opening soon so please enjoy this video this guy was so nice to make and have a zip ba de do da day

Miss riding Splash Mountain. It is one of our favorite attractions at Disneyland. To be honest, we are so excited for the Princess and the Frog retheme, but we will still miss the original of course, especially for Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah.
Wow this is nostalgic my parents took me here when I was 10 with all my cousins, from australia what a great ride! Now 28yr hope to take my kids here soon and universal studios

I rode this when I was six with my family and hated it back then, but got interested in it years later. Sucks I never rode it again, but I'd say I'm psyched for the retheming. Plus it'll be a good chance for them to fix up the logs and whatnot.

I remember going on this ride and riding in the front, I got so wet! This ride is fun but quite nerve racking since you don’t have a belt or something to keep you from falling.
Yes, you get soaked 🌊 As long as you stay sitting down, a seat belt or restraint is not needed. No log flume has seat belts 🙂

I've been to disneyland 3 times but last time I went (2019) was the first time I went on splash mountain and I made the mistake of choosing the front seat not knowing I would get completely soaked. Surprise, surprise...I got soaked.
