    The GS turned out to be the best bargain of the midsize luxury sedans. It’s far more reliable than any from the other side of the Atlantic and it is even better than the Infiniti G35 ( now Q50). The GS has the balance between price, luxury, technology, reliability and quality.

      Agreed! I bought my white on red 2016 GS350 F-Sport a year & a half ago & it's been absolutely amazing! It had 41k miles when I bought it for $28k (Original MSRP $58k). I really can't ask for a better car as of now & am probably gonna keep it for a very long time. It's my ultimate dream car for sure! I test drove a 2009 Infiniti G37 a decade ago & loved its style & performance which that car was my previous dream car, but couldn't afford one at the time, but prefer Lexus for their quiet ride, smoother engines, but still strong performance & of course most importantly their legendary long term reliability.

Its the same block as in the camry but its got direct injection and other technologies that give it about 40bhp more than the Camry. The materials are all padded and soft touch right down to the door sill and its built in a purpose built facility in tahara, japan that has won Numerous awards from JD power and the rest for its attention to detail and quality that is unrivalled.

Its obvious Lexus has upped the ante in this segment and its a worthy consideration for anyone looking spend in the $50K - $60K range. Having owned 3 Lexus over the past 22 years their reputation of quality, reliability, and value is well earned in my opinion. You can certainly do worse.

    This is such a well made car that you could possibly pass it down to several generations of family members before it would finally die! Our GS350 has only visited the dealer once for warranty repair in the 100k miles that we have owned it. My German cars on the other hand have needed thousands in repairs well before 100k miles. From a quality standpoint our Lexus makes my Porsche and BMW look like a cheap Chinese toy.

      Deno Reed not bad.. how much for the 2013 model now?

    • @denoreed9514
      @denoreed9514 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Depends on the mileage and condition. Also depends what model you are trying to buy. The base model, luxury package or Fsport package. I bought the luxury package because I felt it suited my needs better and I still have the adaptable suspension. I paid $31,995 for my GS luxury package with 30,925 on the odometer last year January. It was a really good deal. The car was $61,000 brand new. But to answer your question the base models are usually around 23- 25 thousand the luxury is about 25- 30 thousand and the f sports tend to always hold a higher value so they usually go for 30- 37 thousand. If you buy from a lexus dealer the cost will be on the higher side because they refurbish the car. I bought mine from a porsche dealership.

      It's been reborn in a cheap, heavy, hideous fashion.

    @adamY2K If you watch the video it says the estimated it at 19/23 but the actual estimates are 19/28. Still the Infiniti M and Genesis get similar mileage with more power. And this just looks like a complete 5-Series rip off

    Make a GS-F!
    Shoehorn the V10, brakes, and technology from the LFA.
    Then blow the doors off the M5!

    The back looks like a Sonata.

    It really bugs me that the rear end of this car reminds me of the rear of the hyundai sonata. I'm sure that wasn't intentional though

    gs is nice but passenger back seat looks really small for leg room for this car. NOt bad if you just want to drive the car but the passenger has no space to stretch their legs in the back.

    I really like the Audi, but this Lexus blurs the line a little for me. It would really come down to driving the two back to back. I couldn't decide just from reading or watching videos.

    I am a long time hater of Lexus and Toyota for creating appliances rather than soulful machines. I test drove one of these new GS models other day, and it looks much better in person than in pictures/videos. It also has a gorgeous interior, far nicer than the BMWs and Mercedes (almost as good as Audi). With the trend I'm seeing BMW take towards making their cars more boring, this GS is a big step forward and drives just as well if not better than its german competitors.

    The design in the rear is less desirable. Overall it looks like Lexus, as usual, did their homework. However, if their mission is to become a drivers oriented car-then why aren't they planning a V8 or forced induction V6(according to this particular review)? I guess this means no GS-F as well. Bummer.
